Shri Mahalakshmi Puja: How do we get our Lakshmi principle satisfied? Jaysingpur (India)

Shri Mahalakshmi Puja, Jaysingpur (India), 21 December 1991. I am in a dilemma what language I should speak to you all. First I’ll speak in English, then in Hindi, then in Marathi. (Laughter) We all have come here to Kolhapur to worship the Mahalakshmi. And you all know about the importance of Mahalakshmi. That Sushumna Nadi is the channel for Mahalakshmi. But this principle of Mahalakshmi is only possible to manifest in us when our principle of Lakshmi is satisfied. When we see poverty in India we really get very upset about it, and think: “When will it be all right, when all these people will also get the blessings of the Divine?” [Hindi aside] So the principle of the Divine works through Mahalakshmi. It’s a vicious circle that you have to get to a point where your Lakshmi principle is satisfied and then only you start seeking, and that seeking comes from the Mahalakshmi principle within us. So Sahaja Yoga grows in the middle path, in the middle section of the society. Very rich will seldom come to Sahaja Yoga, and if they come only, they’ll just take few advantages of it, and they won’t understand the depth of it. In the same way the poor cannot come. So these are like the two shores of one river that is flowing in between, and if we start expanding it, then we will definitely shower the blessings of the Divine on all both the shores, and I’m sure lots of Read More …

Short Puja and Discussion with Baba Mama Ashram in Cairns, Cairns (Australia)

1991-0405 Short Puja and Talk, Cairns, Queensland, Australia (Notes: whatever you find in Italic and bold, refers to speech in Marathi language) Sahaja yogi: Gravity is also one type of energy, isn’t it, Shri Mataji? Shri Mataji: Of course, in the Feet. Babamama: In the Feet. Because it is one of the things which balances us, called migraine (n.t. probably Baba Mama meant magnetism). Migraine (n.t. magnetism), migraine is one thing which balances us. Is there any relation between head and the feet? Shri Mataji: The whole feet are in the head. (n.t. connected to the head). Babamama: The feet are in the head? Shri Mataji: Or head is in the feet.  Babamama: I also thought the same. Head in the feet or feet in the head, because… Shri Mataji: When you rub My soles, vibrations come of your head. Babamama: Yes. Shri Mataji: [unclear] Babamama: Yes, because when we rub Your Feet, we get a very good sleep. Shri Mataji: Now, if we start from here… Babamama: Yes, Shri Mataji. Shri Mataji: If you start… Now see, if you fold the sari like this, you see, the break is a fourth, you see. So when it opens out, you see, these chakras open up like this, see. So, this one at the back are the chakras and these are the incarnations. So in the center comes the heart. Babamama: Yes, Shri Mataji. Shri Mataji: Here is Mooladhara and here’s Agnya. Then is Swadishthana. Now, this Swadishthana is moving like Read More …

Adi Shakti Puja: the steadiness of the mind is very important for the marriages Residence of Madhukar Dhumal, Rahuri (India)

Adi Shakti Puja: Detachment, Rahuri (India), 11 December 1988. Puja has to start at the time when it has to start. I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting, then I realised that today is a very good time according to the calendar; but it is not in the morning, so it had to be the third day of the moon. And as the moon is changing it’s phases in the day time, we had to wait till it started. I think, all these things have happened, of the theft and everything has happened, perhaps, to delay the Puja up to the point where it should start. So, in Sahaja Yoga we all go beyond time and we don’t have to worry about the timing. Only when it’s a formal function or something, because the people are formal, they don’t understand our styles. So we have to be present there at right time, otherwise we should just allow the time to take its own course and we should move in our own way. Now for our travel and this tour, we have to realise that we are here to achieve a certain amount of height in our detachment. We have to rise into the realm of our state, while the circumstances around us, they’re surrounding us and they should not make us unhappy, or biased, or we should not react to them. On the contrary we should try to rise above that. If there are no events of mishaps, then you Read More …

Devi Puja: Complete your Self-realisation Aurangabad (India)

Complete your Self-realisation, Puja in Aurangabad (India), 19 or 17 December 1987. I am sorry, I was dealing with some newspaper people, journalists, and they came very late, whatever it is. I found them to be very sensible and very understanding. All of us have come to Aurangabad now, and it seems this place is full of vibrations. Maybe here Shalivahana has ruled in this area, but also there have been many saints who were born on this side of Maharashtra, and they perpetuated Dharma. They always talked about self-realization. Dharma gives you the balance. It gives you the establishment into proper behaviour, proper understanding, proper living, but it doesn’t give you the completion of your journey. It doesn’t give you the satisfaction of reaching the destination. And your personality is still incomplete. So, one has to have the experience of the spirit. As I was discussing with them today, I told them that those who do not have … the experience of the spirit … are not only incomplete, but are limited people. So, whatever they see, or whatever they know, or whatever they criticize, is limited. As in English we say that “hate the sin and not the sinner”. Like many people who find something wrong with Christianity start blaming Christ. Christ did not created Christianity, first of all. He did not create Christianity. He did not create Christians. So, there is no relationship between the two. As you know, recently, they have found out the books written Read More …

Devi Puja by the Krishna’s river: unless and until you love each other, I do not exist within you Brahmapuri (India)

Puja by the Krishna’s river, Brahmapuri (India) 1986-12-27 [English Transcript] This is a special month in India and it is nice that we are organizing this program during this month. It is called as the Margashirsha, means where Marga means the road and Shirsha is the head, which leads (sounds like) you to the, to the epitome. That is the month and in this month they worship Guru because of his birthday Dattatreya and also they worship Mahalakshmi. That means this is the month of Sushumna, where the people get out of the bondages of smaller hankerings and enter into a new path of seeking of spirituality that is Sushumna that is Mahalakshmi. Also on this, there are lots of, (eh) pujas they do for four Thursdays, the puja of Mahalakshmi because Mahalakshmi is worshipped on a Thursday as it is the essence of the Guru principle. The Gurus have to satisfy the Mahalakshmi principle, which is just pure seeking of God, or what do you call the pure desire (“Shuddha Ichcha”). Today is a Saturday as I enquired and the puja was done in Poona (“Pune”) was also (Shri Mataji is enquiring with someone in Marathi – “it happened on Friday or day before on Thursday?”) on Thursday. Thursday puja was the thing of the Mahalakshmi’s puja had started. The day we did puja in Mahalakshmi, there you saw all, how the water was giving away its exuberance by putting up miraculous fountains and they became the clouds I Read More …

Birthday Puja Evening Program Mumbai (India)

Birthday Puja Evening Program, Mumbai (India), March 21st, 1986 [Translation from Marathi] I bow to the Sahaja Yogis of Mumbai, Maharashtra, Madras, Delhi, Calcutta, Nagpur and other countries. All of you have gathered here in such a great number to celebrate My birthday and it seems that Kaliyug has ended because I could not imagine that a Mother would be given so much importance in Kaliyuga. Also, I could not imagine that so many of My children would be enveloped in this heavenly joy. Whatever has happened has been so fast that it is unbelievable. All this is God’s grace. In your joy is My joy and in your desires lie Mine. I have no existence. Whatever is the desire of Sahaja Yogis, that is My desire; how the lives of the Sahaja Yogis are, that is My life. To come to this superhuman stage from the human stage through this ascent is extremely difficult. Those who are godly, they too find it difficult to become human. But more difficult than that is for humans to achieve the state of Brahma (Brahmatva). You have achieved this, established it, developed it and today you have decorated all this like a beautiful Nandanvana (forest of delight) for which I have to thank you. If the emancipation of the world could have been done by Me then there would have been no need for Sahaja Yoga. In that, the Vishwa Dharma that I have established in which the true Dharma has been established Read More …

Public Program Day 1 Modern High School, Pune (India)

Public Program, Modern School, Marathi, Pune, India, 16-03-1986 [Translation from Hindi and Marathi, talk starts at 18 min] I bow to all the seekers of truth in Pune. Pune has got the name of Punya Patnam [place of virtue] in ancient Indian texts so that it should become meaningful. This fortune of pious deeds is in this place. This has been told by our ancestors, and those who have accumulated pious deeds from a hundred births, only those are born in Pune. This has also been told. But is it like that or not? Sometimes I have doubts about this because whatever was ours in the past, we have considered that gone is the time and gone is everything related to it. And now the thing we are hurriedly going after correction in that something must come in us and we should do something new. This is a tremendous desire of all people. But I see we have lost synchronisation in both these thoughts. 20:05 Tukaram said: “I will bring peace and happiness to the whole world.” Similarly, Marx said that we should establish such a state in which there are no police, and without any apprehension and fear people will be well-behaved. We should establish a state like this, but the question is how to do this? How to try this feat and how to achieve this? He didn’t shed any light on this. Similarly, Tukaram has said: “I will bring peace and happiness to the whole world.” But how Read More …

Devi Puja: Achieve the power of Spirit within Mula Dam, Rahuri (India)

Puja at Mula Dam, “Achieve the power of Spirit within”. Rahuri (India) 26 February 1984 . [English Transcript] I hope your journey has been comfortable so far and will be comfortable later on, as the source of comfort is your Spirit. And more you see to the comfort of your Spirit the problems of outside comforts drop off. You are not bothered as to where you live, where you sleep, what you eat, what you do. So allow these gross sensitivities to drop down so that the inner, subtler sensitivities grow. That’s why you are here, to get over your time, conditionings…l mean it is a rat-race, and the rat race has to be somehow or other stopped, once and for all, “without”. So here we can do it “without”, and once you start meditating, that “within” can also be achieved and you can achieve that peace which all human beings should have, if we have to save this world from complete destruction. As you must have realized that now the Sahaja Yoga is growing much faster, and is taking a good speed. And we all have to keep ourselves equipped to be able to be part and parcel of this great evolutionary and revolutionary process which is going to stir up the whole world. For that, it is important also to see that we take ourselves to task and don’t get into mediocre living and mediocre thinking. We are people of very great potential. Not only that, but we Read More …

Public Program Anjaneri (India)

Public Program in Anjaneri, the birthplace of Shri Hanuman (Marathi). Maharashtra (India). 19 February 1984. [Missing part] Shri Mataji: Shri Hanumana had attained it. Just as Anjani Devi (Mother of Shri Hanumana) had attained it. Like Anjani Devi and Hanumana, if we can see the Spirit residing in our heart, if we get our Self-Realization, then there will be no question standing before us. All pain, wretchedness, poverty can go far away. We have many principles within us. They are still in the dormant state. They should get awakened. Unless they get awakened, there is no meaning of our lives. Our connection with God Almighty has not been established until now. Till our relationship with God Almighty is not established, how we will enter then into His Kingdom? And how we will get the boons that He wants to bestow upon us. That’s why our relationship with God Almighty has to be established and has to be everlasting. This is the main thing, that it has to be ever-lasting. If meaninglessly we repeatedly call Vitthala and if He comes and stands before you, how will you recognize Him? Thus, the Apara Bhakti which exists and which is done without seeing, without knowing God Almighty, its fruit is today our Sahaja Yoga. To Ganesha we say, that, “Spontaneously we dived into the current so at the time of salvation, You protect us”. The time of salvation has arrived today. It must be preserved and we should stay forever in it. For Read More …

Devi Puja: What is expected of Sahaja Yogis and Where are we, Advice to Brides Bordi (India)

“What is expected of Sahaja Yogis and where are we?”. Bordi (India), 13 February 1984. [A Sahaja Yogi reads the mantra “Pasayadan” written by saint Gyaneshwara and Shri Mataji translates it.It is the last hymn (Ovi) of the “Gyaneshwari” (or Dnyaneshwari), which is an interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita written in Marathi by Saint Gyaneshwara (or Dnyaneshwara).] [Video and audio start here] Sahaja Yogi: “Ata vishwatmake deve yene vagnyajne toshave”.Shri Mataji: Now it says that all of you, who are one in your Spirit – this all description of Sahaja Yoga today – is the future, the present that you will get it, at this time what is going to happen. It is so beautifully shown, you’ll be surprised, that you all will become one in the universe. The Spirit of the universe will be satisfied with the ‘yagnyas’ they are going to do, with the fire ceremonies you are going to do. How it is appropriated! He said it 3 hundred years back.Sahaja Yogi: “Toshoni maza dyave pasayadana he”.Shri Mataji: And then you should give us the milk of your blessings by getting the complete satisfaction from us.Sahaja Yogi: “Ze khalanchi vyankati sando”.Shri Mataji: That time all the horrible evil people will be ruined and their plans will be spoiled.Sahaja Yogi: “Taya satkarmi rati wadho”.Shri Mataji : And people will take to righteousness. This is the description [??] GuptaSahaja Yogi: “Bhuta paraspare pado maitra jivantche”.Shri Mataji: At that time there will be a tremendous friendship of the Spirit among Read More …

Shri Gruha Lakshmi Puja: Marriage is very important in Sahaja Yoga Sydney (Australia)

Shri Gruha Lakshmi Puja, Sydney (Australia), 7 April 1981 Today is the anniversary day of the wedding, and I have allowed them to celebrate it because marriage is very important in Sahaja Yoga. It is one of the most important things for Sahaja Yoga, that one should get married. Firstly, marriage always gives you a balance of understanding, if you have proper ideas about marriage. If you have funny ideas, and if you are just marrying for fun’s sake and you do not understand the value of marriage, then it is just a joke, it’s not a marriage. But in Sahaja Yoga you really understand the value of marriage first of all, what it means. And then, luckily today we are going to have some Sahaja Yoga weddings, in which you will see how we try to conform to the divine laws of marriage, and get married under those laws. Here I find, in Australia, as well as in other countries, that marriage has lost its sanctity. People don’t understand that by doing sin against the marriage they are committing such great sins that many generations will have to suffer for this kind of a thing. One has to understand that fidelity is the basis of marriage. If there is no fidelity marriage has no meaning. If you are not capable of being fidel (sic), that means you are not yet a human being. A human being has to be a fidel animal. In marriage we confirm that the problem Read More …
