Public Program (incomplete) (Italy)

1993-0504 Public Program, Italy I bow to all the seekers of truth. As you know very well that all the religions have talked of one thing that is [that] we should seek the truth. And that we have to be born again. But it is not just a certificate, or a kind of a group we form, saying that we are born again. But it is the actualization. To believe that we have found the truth, that by reading a particular scripture we are the people who are following the truth, is just taking us to darkness of fundamentalism. And that’s why when people tell Me that they are following the religion very strictly, why is it [that] physically, mentally, emotionally they are so sick? But actually, they are not following reality. They have not tried to find out the reality. Thousands of years our forefathers have been doing the same thing. There is no religion which has said [missing portion, poor audio] … But this falsehood has led us into a very big mess that we have started hating each other in the name of religion. And they have become now, all religions, very money oriented. Either they go to the right side, as told to you, or go to the left side and become possessed. The ones who follow any religion, whether Christian, Hindu, Muslim, any religion, are capable of doing any sin. There is no difference between any human being as such. They have to be truth Read More …

Talk to Sahaja Yogis, Eve of Guru Puja Camping Borda d'Ansalonga, Ansalonga (Andorra)

Lecture on Evening before Guru Puja, Ansalonga (Andorra), July 30th, 1988 Tomorrow is a great day for all of us because it’s the Guru Puja Day, and perhaps you know that Guru puja is the greatest day for all the sahaja yogis, also for Me. Of course, Sahasrara is the day, which is very important, which makes a big history in the spirituality and also in the evolutionary process. But for us the sahaja yogis and Myself – it’s very remarkable that we are here to know something and to teach something. Now, if you see how Sahaja Yoga knowledge has slowly come to all of you. Gyaneshwara has described it so beautifully – he says, “Like the petals when they fall on the Mother Earth, gently, in the same way, let this knowledge fall onto the minds of the disciples and make them fragrant.” Another thing described is a bird called Chakoor, which is a bird which just at the time of full moon, sucks the nectar of moonlight, otherwise, it doesn’t care for anything else, it feeds only on itself. So he says, “Let the knowledge of the Divine be sucked in by the disciples like the Chakoora bird who sucks in the nectar of the moonlight.” Moon stands for the Spirit. In the same manner, let it penetrate into their being. After all, he was a very great poet, I must say, in poetry, nobody can go as deep as Gyaneshwara has gone, no one. So slowly Read More …

TRANSCRIPT OF MARRIAGE COUPLETS JANUARY 19, 1985 Shri Mataji (to someone): I vibrated some water for you; I hope it helps your nabhi. (in Marathi): So, is it done? Who? Taught them? Whom?  “ Nava ghya” (Literally take the name – also called “ukhana”, this is an old wedding custom of the Maharashtrian community in India to subtly announce the name of your spouse. Married couples recite rhyming couplets after the ceremony and later on, during festive gatherings, in which the names of their spouses figure).  Shri Mataji (in Marathi): In Marathi? Who. Someone: Dalvi. Shri Mataji: Yes, take it (the name). Come on, take the name in Marathi. If the husband is English, take it in English. [A Sahaja Yogi is reciting a couplet, but this one is in praise of Shri Mataji, not an ukhana]. Sahaja Yogi: Phate Geli, Phala Geli, Nash Hoto Thanana, Ayushacha Nash Hoto, Nirmal Naav Mhanana (The trees and fruits are gone, there is destruction, as life is being destructed, please take the name of Nirmal). Shri Mataji: Life is destructed, says Nirmal’s name? Sahaja Yogis: Take the name, say the name. Shri Mataji (in English): It is that the time is passing fast. Every moment is going away. It is best is to take the name of Nirmala. [Applause]. Shri Mataji: Yes, go ahead. [Inaudible. Someone is reciting in English]. Sahaja Yogi: Can you repeat, please? [Inaudible]. Shri Mataji: Warren is practising well. (Laughter all around) Another Sahaja Yogi: He is all attention. Read More …

Talk to Ladies Pimpri, Pune (India)

Talk to Ladies. Pimpri, Pune (India), 10 February 1984. [Shri Mataji speaks in Marathi] For your good luck, you should say let us say for your good luck, SoubhAgnya for your good luck. Is given to the ladies, always given to the ladies. Because in India the women are regarded as the Shakti and women who lead a married life and who have been mothers, who have been daughters and also wives and things like that are respected very much as only it is believed that only the respectable women when they exist in any country the Gods also reside there. If they are not respectable the Gods don’t reside there. See the glamour is not very much respected in India. The glamorous nature is regarded as something like a sophisticated prostitution [not sure]. In India, glamour is a sign of a effect or a kind of inferiority complex in a women or maybe a cunning to be glamorous. See so its not very much respected in this country. If they find any women getting very glamorous then she’s little bit pulled down in the society and people try to pass remarks on her and make fun of her or sort of she’s brought down. [Its?] not regarded as a very great thing but a traditional… a women has to be traditionally dressed up. As a married women she has to wear a certain ornaments. She has to wear certain things as a married women. She has to wear certain Read More …

The nourishment of the Primordial Mother Société industrielle de Mulhouse, Mulhouse (France)

1983-09-01 Public Program, Mulhouse, France [Translator: … What we do?] Shri Mataji: … which represents the Mother Earth. So far, whatever we have done is to exhaust the Mother Earth. She has been looking after us, but we have been exhausting Her. So within us is also placed the representative of that Mother Earth in the triangular bone or sacrum. Or we can say that this bone represents the Mother Earth and the energy within us, that represents the Holy Ghost. Now if you notice that even outside, the feminine consciousness is rising very high, though they are [misusing that/misguided]. The feminists are trying to follow the men, [the father], and are competing with them and trying to become men. That is very unnatural. Actually, here you can see that the kundalini or the Mother Earth, which is represented as sacrum, is the power of the Holy Ghost which is the Mother, the Primordial Mother. For example, if the trees grows very big outside as our civilization has grown, it has to see its own source, source of vitality, of nourishment. Otherwise, the whole tree is going to collapse. In the same way, today human beings are standing at a point where they have to receive the nourishment from the Primordial Mother. In the 13th century there was a great philosopher who said that first it was the reign of the Father, then of the Son and later on it [will/would] be of the Mother, the Holy Ghost. That is Read More …

It’s a very good idea. See one should take to simple medicines because if you take to antibiotics and this that nonsense then you become very weak and you have to, it has a reaction and then you have to take something else for the reaction, funny thing, it is antibiotic, it is, bio means life and it is anti life.People chatting/ Laughing. Sahaj treatments Bordi (India)

Conversation with Sahaja Yogis on Sahaj treatments, Problems of Sahaja Yoga, Bordi, India, 24 January 1981 Mr. Chavan: Of a certain other individual or the individual who has been caught, what to do? So, he is advised in the matter like this, first you put your own attention in your own Sahasrara, this is the first thing you have to do. Then while chanting the mantra, put the attention on the chakra of the person to whom you are giving treatment. And also, your attention should be simultaneously on your own chakra. Then while chanting the mantra you can give a flow of vibration or you can go on giving bandhana to that chakra. Now by chanting mantra only for a time, may not release the chakra. So you have to repeat the chantings, as you go on increasing the chanting, say 7 times, 10 times, 21 times, like that, and you find simultaneously when your attention is there, you find that the chakra is getting relieved, it is getting opened and the Kundalini is making its movement in a proper manner. So, that’s how you have to relieve a chakra while chanting the mantra with the help of mantra. Now, there was another question from Mr. Pitkar. He asked that a number of Sahaja Yogis who find themselves stuck at certain chakra and they feel they don’t know how to go ahead, what they should do? He says, we want to have certain tips by which we can make Read More …

Who is the other? (incomplete) Caxton Hall, London (England)

Public Program – incomplete “ (…essly) and she puts another sari or a good dress and all that and then she locks up herself in the room and enjoys herself [laughter]. So it shows the essence of it is the sharing and the maximum of it should be achieved because the joy of it comes through sharing : is wisdom. So we have our education which should teach us to share, which should teach us to help others. Somebody falls down? Just try to help that person. That should be the education. Somebody is knocked down? As if you are knocked down, the collectivity of it. It’s part of you is knocked down. Somebody is drowning, you try to save that person. Actually you are saving that person because that person is within you which is getting drown and you are just trying to help yourself. It’s the essence of all good work we do for others – is just your own being you are trying to save and help – nobody else is being helped. Who is the ‘else’? Who is the other? Is all your own self after all whatever is our world is that we know of. So who is the other? There’s none. All that is there is yourself and the education should be such that we should understand the essence of our collective being which is present within us – which is manifesting all the time. Only after Sahaja Yoga it becomes evident. It becomes Read More …

Powers Bestowed upon Sahaja Yogis Bordi (India)

Powers Bestowed upon Sahaja Yogis, Bordi (India), January 27th, 1980 I had told you yesterday, that we have to know about the powers that we have, and the powers that we can get. First of all we should know what powers we have got, and also we should know how we are going to preserve those powers and what more powers we can very – very easily achieve. The first power that you get after Realisation is the greatest power on Earth. This is the power of Shri Ganesha. It is only He can do this job that you people are doing today, and that power is of raising the Kundalini. No one so far in the history of spirituality has ever raised the Kundalini in such a short time as you people are doing. It moves under your fingers; it is absolutely Shri Ganesha’s power which is given to you. At the time when you are giving the Realisation, even if you are caught up in any one of your chakras, or you have any problem, even if you are little bit possessed, even if you are not such a good Sahaj yogi, even if you are not that much surrendered to Mataji, even if you don’t have much sense of obligation about Sahaj Yoga, still the Kundalini rises under your fingers. This Ganesh Shakti is given to you by Shri Ganesh Himself within you; to give you the confidence, to give you the confidence that you can raise Read More …

Nabhi Chakra London (England)

Nabhi Chakra, London1978-02-20 How it is placed within us. Nabhi chakra also has got two sides- left and right. On the left hand side of the Nabhi chakra is placed as a centre or you call it a chakra or a sub-chakra called as the Chandra means the moon. Moon centre on the left hand side, and right hand side is the sun centre and they are placed exactly on the moon line and the sun line i.e. first the Ida and the Pingala. These two centres are the two points up to which we can go and move from left to right. Beyond that when we start going you cross the limits. Now these two centres when localized, see they have vertical vibrations flow over to them but when they are localized at that point how we spoil them. We must understand. Left Nabhi and right Nabhi are interdependent on each other. If you pull too much of left Nabhi or work too much on left Nabhi then right Nabhi also can catch. But say we will take one by one. Now the left Nabhi is caught, normally if you eat food at somebody’s house who is a sort of spiritualist or who is giving a prasad like say Satya Sai baba this horrible fellow, his those vibhutis as they call it because it comes from the cremation ground, see that ash, all these things and all these types of food when you eat…. a person who believes in Read More …

Sat Chit Anand New Delhi (India)

Sat Chit Anand, Advice given on 15th February 1977 at New Delhi. [Translation from Hindi] ….. anybody picks up a pen and starts writing. Most of the writers, most of them, have self-interests vested. They have some or other interests like befooling people, making money or showing off etc. By grace of almighty few great saints have been there and they also wrote something. However, they did not publish anything themselves but later their scripts were published, for example Kabir Das ji, Guru Nanak, Ramdas Swami, Tukaram.  In ancient times, we had Sage Valmiki, Yog Vashishtha and many other saints. But people would find it difficult to identify right and wrong ones amongst them all. Thirdly we have Swami Markandey and Adi Shankaracharya. We call ourselves Hindu, this and that but no one reads Adi Shankaracharya’s work. Even after reading it no one could understand him well. He was such a big devotee of Mother that he won’t do anything other than offering prayers to Mother. All the time he kept praying to Mother Bhagwati and he knew nothing else. He would suggest only to pray to the Mother and anything shall be done. And this is absolutely correct. He said whatever Yoga etc. you do, will not help you find Divine. You can find [divine] only when Mother endows Her blessings, otherwise you just can’t find Him. He mentioned this very clearly. But in our country, everyone is practicing Hatha-Yoga. What Hatha yoga you people are practicing? It is Read More …

Seminar Day 1 (incomplete) Cowasji Jehangir Hall, Mumbai (India)

SEMINAR DAY 1 MARCH 19, 1976, Cowasji Jehangir Hall, Mumbai, India Sahaja Yogi: This is the recording of the advice given by Her Holiness Shri Mataji on the occasion of three days seminar held at Cowasji Jehangir Hall [Mumbai] from 19 to 21st March 1976. This is a recording of the first day that is of the 19th March 1976. Shri Mataji: After a very long time, we are again assembled in this hall. When Sahaja Yoga was just in its infancy, we had arranged a program in this hall. Since then, by God’s grace, Sahaja Yoga has settled, in the minds of the Sahaja Yogis. As if the rain has been absorbed by the hungry Earth. Sahaja Yoga is not meant for people who are superficial and are not seeking within themselves and with all the earnestness and the hankering of all seekers. It is not meant for people who are seeking God in the books. Because God is not there. It is also not meant for people who think they can achieve God. That they can by their efforts, by their extreme ‘hatha‘ as we call it, ‘obstinacy’, win the grace of God. It is meant for those people who are, from the heart, all the time asking for Him. And looking for Him, for the genuine and for the reality. ‘Sahaja’ – I have told you many a time, ‘saha’ means ‘within’ and ‘ja’ means ‘born with you’. I have elaborately told you many a time what Read More …

Teen Shaktiya (Three Powers) Mumbai (India)

“Teen Shaktiyan” “Three Powers”, Seminar & Meeting, 21st January 1975, Mumbai (Dadar)  [Hindi to English Translation v1] Just like a gardener cultivates a garden and nurtures it with love, and then he watches out for the blooming flowers in the garden, the joy the gardener feels upon seeing those flowers is inexplicable.  The name ‘Krishna’ is derived from ‘Krishi’. ‘Krishi’, you know, is ‘agriculture’. During Shri Krishna’s time it was primarily agriculture, and during Christ’s time it was irrigated with his blood. The fertile land of this world has been adorned by so many incarnations before.  Today, in this age of Kali Yuga, the time has come when we can witness the blossoming of of that farming, to breathe in the fragrance of those flowers. These vibrations [Chaitanya Lehriyān] flowing from your hands is the same fragrance, because of which the entire world, the entire creation and the entire nature is functioning.  But today you are those chosen flowers, chosen over the ages, to blossom so that today your vibrations and your fragrance should spread across the world, cleanse its sludge and eliminate the filth of this ocean of illusion [Maya Sagar].  When looking at it, one may wonder how it is possible, Mataji is making a big statement. But this is a continuous process [Silsila] and, when the destination has arrived in front you, then thinking, “Why it has arrived? How has it come? How can this happen? When you were walking, did the destination not arrive? When you Read More …
