Evening Program, Eve of Shri Hanumana Puja Pune (India)

Evening Program, Eve of Shri Hanumana Puja – Pune (India), Tuesday March 30th 1999 [Talk before performance] This is a great desire of My father being fulfilled, that he wanted to start a music academy for all the foreigners especially. Because it seems that our knowledge of classical music is very deep and is of a global nature and so we got lots of students from all over the world who are studying music. Most surprising was the way they picked up our classical music.  For example, somebody starts singing Malkauns Raag within three months who doesn’t know even the Sa Re Ga Ma of Indian music… [Shri Mataji laughs]  It’s such a remarkable thing. Then there’s another one who plays sarod… I’m really surprised in three months how could they do so much and I have been trying to analyse what sort of personalities they have that they grow so fast – even in tabla, harmonium – in every way, how they have become so competent in such a short time. Is really remarkable. [sentence in Hindi] [0:1:15 – 1:09:23 Performance of several raags and bhajans by students of The Late PK Salve Academy of Fine Arts & Music, Nagpur] [1:09:24 – 1:16:17 Shri Mataji speaks in Hindi apart from one line in English to the students at 1:15:54: ‘I thank you all on their behalf.’] [Talk at end of Vocal Recital by Meena Patharpekar] I think you give her a standing ovation. Shri Raja Lakshmi Puja: Don’t waste your time in fighting New Delhi (India)

Shri Raja Lakshmi Puja (Hindi). Delhi (India), 7 December 1996. [Translation from Hindi] Around the Delhi, Sahaja Yoga is growing very fast. Delhi is a capital, people are power and money oriented, but even if it is like this, still they are seeking their self-realization and it is very surprising. It is like a picture, in that birds are flying, flowers, the rain and so on. You are feeling happy to see the picture, but it is important to see what is in that. It is very subtle and to raise the subtle thinking is very important. We have not achieved the truth and we are lost in these mythical things. Externally, because at ego one is thinking that he is very smart, and the others are thinking that they have achieved everything in life, so why should they need Sahaja Yoga? So, this way there are two kinds of people, some which are lost in their ego and others which are surrendered to wrong things. They both will never reach the truth. Once I met a person and I told him that you don’t have to do anything special to get your self- realization and the person replied “How come it is possible?”. I mean, to get your self-realization you don’t have to do anything special, you will get it very easily. So don’t waste your time on the people who think that they will achieve it on themselves. But not all are like this, many will transform in Read More …

Public Program – incomplete Barcelona (Spain)

Public Program, Barcelona, Spain, 11-10-1994 I bow to all the seekers of truth. At the very outset, I would say that truth is what it is. We cannot change it, we cannot describe it. Unfortunately, at this human awareness, we cannot feel it. In the evolutionary process, we have come to a stage where we can say we are human beings. But still, we do not know the absolute truth. That’s why we have so many discussions, arguments, fights and wars. But it is important to understand that most of the world’s problems come from human beings. And most of the global problems come from these centres, the subtle centres within us. Whatever I am going to tell you tonight, you should not take it for granted. We have had lots of problems with blind faith. But keep your mind open and excited. And if it is truth, then you have to accept it as honest people. Because it is for the benevolence of your being. For the benevolence of your family, your country and the world at large. Because all your physical, mental, emotional, spiritual problems come because of the centres.  This is a special time – well is promised by all the scriptures, that you are going to ascend into a new awareness, into a new dimension. This is the last breakthrough of your evolutionary process…

Kundalini: The Feminine Divine Power is within you Royal Albert Hall, London (England)

1994-0605 Public Program Royal Albert Hall, London UK – H.H Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Hello! [Taps mic]  Alright? “I bow to all the seekers of truth” At the very outset we have to know that truth is what it is. You cannot change it, you cannot describe it and you cannot say you know the truth. Unless and until you now it, it is not truth. It is a very big problem that people believe they know the truth, they know the truth which they have understood through their mental capacity, but if [Shri Mataji clears throat] the truth was known to everyone there would be no problems, no quarrels, no discussions no arguments and no wars! We have to know the absolute truth, when we know the absolute truth there is no question of getting into discussion or taking another point of view. I am sitting her before you, you all know I am sitting before you, nobody can say I am not sitting before you because you can see it, but the absolute truth is to be felt on your central nervous system. [Shri Mataji clears throat] This knowledge has been known in our country, in your country and every country – but by very few people. The knowledge, which is earned through your evolutionary process, is the knowledge. When you evolve to a human state you have not yet completed your evolution is visible the way you are fighting, quarreling and behaving in the worst manner that Read More …

Birthday Puja Mumbai (India)

Birthday Puja, March 21, 1991, Mumbai, translation from Hindi The whole world is gleefully celebrating our birthday. All this makes me so emotional that till now no children would have loved their mother so much, like you love me. This is the glory of Shri Ganesha that he would behold His Mother above all deities and would be engrossed in Her service. Therefore, He could accomplish everything. It is a natural instinct for every mother to love her children and to sacrifice everything for them. And she doesn’t have any expectations from them. But, every mother desires her children to be of good character, and, earn name and fame. A worldly mother has such desires. But, the ranks of a Spiritual Mother that you have bestowed upon me, I don’t have any desires. I was thinking what I should talk about because I don’t have any desires. Probably in such a state no desires exist, yet without having any desires they are being fulfilled. You are doing everything even before a desire emanates, so what should I desire for. What I had wished and hoped for – that my children should be extremely virtuous, they must have a radiant temperament, must be munificent, valorous, working for everyone’s welfare – must own such a grandeur personality and must be great gurus. I can see it is happening; little less in some, more in others. I am also witnessing how you are going around the world to give self-realization to all people. Read More …

Mahashivaratri Puja New Delhi (India)

Mahashivaratri Puja (Hindi/English). Delhi (India), 9 February 1991. ENGLISH PART BEGINS FROM TIMESTAMP: 00:50:12 Today’s lecture was quite big for all of you who are here, I’m happy that you could all come down for the Shiva Puja and now as they have requested in Europe, also we are going to have a Shiva Puja on the 17th I think in Rome. They have never had a Shiva Puja in the West. And that’s why I have decided that we’ll have two pujas, though it is quite a difficult thing to have Shiva’s puja in such close proximity. Today I have told them how we have got four channels in our heart where Shiva resides, and how we have to introspect ourselves and control our attention, because in Sahaja Yoga there is all freedom to be the way you are, nothing must be sacrificed or to be given up as they were told before, to go to the Himalayas, take out all your clothes and shiver there in the cold and all sorts of things. The body, importance of the body has to be reduced. and for that you have to put your attention inward and try to find joy in everything. To put your attention inside is very easy because you are meditative. Supposing you are going by bullock cart. If a man is used to Rolls Royce he will be all the time complaining what is this nonsense, why I have to go by a bullock cart, horrible, this that…But a child Read More …

Makar Sankranti Puja Pune (India)

Makar Sankranti Puja, Pune (India), January 14th, 1991 Today is the exhibition for this special day of the fourteenth of January, is this, that this is the only day which is observed in India, according to the Sun, Surya. The Sun moves from the tropic of Capricorn towards the tropic of Cancer. So the Sun is worshipped on the fourteen, but Indians think that this is a blessing to have the Sun here for all the things [unsure]. But when the Sun moves from the Capricorn, which is called as ‘Makar’, they say that it is the greatest ordinary now on the Capricorn, and that we are better off. So, we have to celebrate. But by the celebration, they keep in mind that a lot heat will reflect on them. And we start talking to each other in a very cocky manner. So, they give this ‘till’ and ‘gul’. These both things are sesame seeds with some jaggery, they give you, because both things are very hot. Because they think that this hot jaggery will just help you to fight with the cold, [unclear] so better tune up the body to this coming heat. But they know also that with the Sun, you all get hot, everybody fights with each other. So, they say that, “Take ‘till’ and say something sweet”. Better to say something sweet because with the Sun, you get really out of gear, and people decide to talk to each other in a very good manner. So, they say, Read More …

Evening Program, Eve of Diwali Puja, Debu Chaudhuri Concert Montecatini Terme (Italy)

Musical evening Program, Pandit Debu Chaudhuri, sitar player, Eve of Diwali Puja, 1989 [Audio 1 and 2:] It was astounding the way, today, Debuji [Debu Chaudhuri] played so well. Every time you hear him, there is such a variety and such a deep understanding of the principle of music. And the principle of music is that it should entertain the Spirit. You, being Sahaja Yogis, and most of you have never learnt any Indian music as such, like me; but it’s a fact that Indian music comes from Omkar, from the Divine source of sound. And that’s why that comforts, entertains, amuses the Spirit. Otherwise the Spirit is so self-satisfied by itself, it enjoys itself. But with music and art, I feel it gets its reflection to see, reflects its own beautiful existence, which is permeating into every little particle, into every molecule, into every atom. And that reflection when the Spirit sees, it has that new dimension of a beautiful expansion of its personality, and as if you feel you are resounding in the whole universe. Is the beauty of Indian music is this. But especially with Debu, I’m very grateful to him that he has come here with his son Prateek, whom I’ve seen as a little boy. And it’s so heartening to see he has taken this art so seriously. Normally these days, young boys do not take to art much. And that he should learn from his father, that’s even a greater thing – that we Read More …

Public Program (Self-Realization Part) Geneva (Switzerland)

1989-08-09 Public Program Self-Realisation, Geneva, Switzerland … I mean to say that you should not feel guilty at all. Because, logically, what do we do if we feel guilty ? Make ourself miserable! that’s all! And after all we are human beings – only human beings can make mistakes. We are not gods! Moreover, this Divine Power I’m talking about is the ocean of forgiveness: so, what mistakes can you commit that it cannot dissolve? Second condition is that you have to forgive everyone. Now some may say it’s difficult to forgive. Now, logically, what do we do if we forgive or don’t forgive? What do we do? Nothing! What we do really, is to torture ourselves. We play in the hands of wrong people, and this centre then (Shri Mataji puts Her hand on Her forehead) catches very badly, and it’s a narrow door, the Kundalini stops. Then how can I give you Realisation? You are not going to miss your Realisation by not forgiving people, that means we play more into their hands, that you miss such an opportunity. I hope you are convinced now for both the conditions are absolutely important because we have to enter into the ocean of joy. The religion of Sahaja yoga is to know yourself and to enjoy. No austerities, no sacrifices, no crucifixion, nothing! You yourself will know what is enjoyable and what is not enjoyable. So I hope you will comply with these two conditions first and be pleasantly placed towards Read More …

Shri Buddha Puja: Gautama, The Lord of the Ego (morning) Barcelona (Spain)

Shri Buddha Puja. Barcelona (Spain), 20 May 1989. So today we have gathered here to worship Buddha. Lord Buddha, as you know, was Gautama, the one who was born in a royal family, and then, He became an ascetic, because He was very much hurt to see three types of problems from which human beings suffer. And He came to conclusion [that] all these three types of problems are because we have desires. So He said that, “If you become desireless, then there will be no problem for you.” So He studied Vedas, He studied Upanishadas, He studies all kinds of things. He went to many saints and many people and He could not get His Realisation. Actually He was an Incarnation. The incarnation also has to reach a point of Realisation in a different way: like the whole potential has to open out. But the incarnation has tremendous potential, and that expresses itself once the door is opened outward. Buddha realised the greatest problem of human beings is his ego. In his ego he goes to the extremes: from one end to another. And so He worked throughout on the Pingala Nadi for us, and stationed Himself on our ego, to control it. If you see on the Agnya Chakra, if in the centre is Christ, you have on the left Buddha, and on the right is Mahavira. All of them are called as Lords, because They’re rulers of these three areas. Now this area of Agnya is the Read More …

Shri Krishna Puja: The 16 000 Powers of Shri Krishna Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (France)

Shri Krishna Puja. St Quentin (France), 16 August 1987. Shri Mataji: What’s that? Sahaja Yogi: Little Ganeshas, a gift. Please be seated. Shri Mataji: What is shaking? Sahaja Yogi: It think it’s the stage. Shri Mataji: What’s shaking here? It’s the energy? Sahaja Yogi: It think it’s the stage. It was very beautiful of children to come and receive me, in this beautiful manner. This can take you back to the days of Krishna, when in his childhood, he was very much respected by his friends, and they tried to do all the honour that was possible. You know the story of his birth. Also, you know the story – Shri Mataji, [aside]: I think you should stop the water, otherwise my speech might be little bit- You know the story of his birth. Here we have the flowing of water, both the sides. The way he used to play his flute, along the Jamuna River. The whole thing looks, sometimes, so human, but it is not. At the right time, whenever he needed, as a child, he manifested his powers, that he killed a woman who was a devil [Putana]. Ultimately, he killed Kansa. After that, you know that he preached Gita, but it is not so fast as that. After killing Kansa, he went down to Dvaraka to reule there. And there he has to marry five more wives. First, he had sixteen thousand wives. So, many people can ask a question, “Mother what sort of a husband Read More …

They are all great artists and all the time I am thinking of Ravindranath Tagore. What his soul must be feeling so happy, that is described one day and that’s happening today with all these three Bengal people coming here really, my hats off to Bengalis and to Bengal, I really tell you. I am so indebted to them, so indebted to them, really, such a great thing, such great masters are coming out and they are from Nagpur also, that’s something surprising for me. May God bless you all of you, may God bless you, they are great people. We have other artists also from Nagpur, so many of them so nicely played and you enjoyed their music. They are Maharashtrians I should say, so they used to say that Bengal mara balo se or Maharashtra mara gano se. They used to say that Bengalis have, very Bengali ladies have big, big long hair but now this other way round I s sometimes. Beautiful, isn’t it beautiful. Public Program (Fragment) (England)

Yogi: When Kundalini becomes with the spirit. A person becomes aware of that spirit as silence and as becomes the witness, it’s like when you’re been on the outside of a roundabout, in a kiddies playground whirling round and you feel ill. And somehow, you go to the center of the roundabout and you sit of the axis of the roundabout and then you can watch the whole thing but you don’t feel sick any more, you see it, you enjoy it but you don’t feel giddy. [UNCLEAR] ..even if you are falling off…hurt.  So you become the witness and you become silent and at peace. But more than that, you get the coolness of the holy spirit or is the coolness of vibrations… and this coolness is the thing which is the treatment [UNCLEAR] … which enables the Kundalini to rise. To recognise that there is a holiness and… Shri Mataji: We can’t hear you. Yogi: A purity. And that holiness, instance and purity of the Divine vibrations is what makes this Kundalini to rise. It’s the conditions which enable the seed within us to sprout. One can then become aware of the mechanism inside, and can be aware of vibrations so instead of just judging things on thoughts, or on feelings, on likes or dislikes that we’ve got from previous experiences. One can go on vibrations and going by vibrations means that if something is incorrect it is so because it is harmful to us. And it’s harmful Read More …

Public Program: Prapancha and Sahaja Yoga Doctor Antonio Da Silva High School, Mumbai (India)

Public Talk (in Marathi). Dr Antonio De Silva High School. Dadar, Bombay (India), 26th Nov 1984. I bow to all of you who are the seekers of truth. TODAY’S SUBJECT IS “PRAPANCHA” AND ‘SAHAJ YOGA’. FIRST OF ALL LET US SEE WHAT IS THE MEANING OF WORD “PRAPANCHA”. ‘PRAPANCHA’ , “PANCHA” MEANS ‘FIVE’(CINCI), THE FIVE ELEMENTS THROUGH WHICH OUR EVOLUTION TOOK PLACE. BUT “ PRA ” WORD IN FRONT OF IT CHANGES ITS MEANING. IT MEANS THE LIGHT OF FIVE ELEMENTS “ PRAPANCHA”.( PRAPANCHA ALSO MEANS MARRIED FAMILY LIFE) “ Avghachi Sansar Sukhachakrin” ( I shall make the whole world joyous) this joy we should get in Prapancha. You cannot find God except Prapancha. MANY PEOPLE IMAGINE THAT “YOGA” MEANS TO GO TO HIMALAYAS AND SIT THERE TO DIE OF FREEZING COLD. IT IS NOT YOGA. IT IS ‘HATHA’( OBSTINACY/ INCAPATINARE). IT IS NOT EVEN OBSTINACY BUT LITTLE STUPIDITY. This imagination about Yoga is absolutely wrong. Specially in Maharashtra all the saints were married. They practiced Prapancha. Only Swami Ramadasa did not do Prapancha. But in “Dasa Bodha”( Marathi scripture by Saint Ramadasa) ..Prapancha is flowing in every page. Leaving Prapancha , you cannot find God. He said this many times. To find God by leaving Prapancha has been the imagination of people of our country since ancient times. This is the reason why Buddha left Prapancha and went to Jungles and got self realization there.. But even if he would have lived with family, he would have got self Read More …

The Knowledge of the Roots St David's Hall, Cardiff (England)

Public Program, “The Knowledge of the Roots”. Cardiff (UK), 8 August 1984. St David’s Hall, Cardiff (England) I bow to all the seekers of truth. It gives Me immense pleasure to come to Cardiff again for this programme of Sahaja Yoga. They must have explained to you what is Sahaja Yoga. That is, ‘Saha’ is ‘with’ and ‘Ja’ is ‘born’. It is born with you, and all of us have a birthright to get this spontaneous yoga, that is the union with the Divine. Ascent to the Divine is our birthright. Only thing, we must reach that state of awareness where we become aware of a higher seeking within us. First as a human being we seek food, then protection, house, possessions, money, power, and then we find that all these things, even if you have achieved, you have not been able to achieve what you wanted – that is, the state of joy – and thus you start seeking furthermore to find out what should be that state in which you remain in complete joy. Many people have no idea as what to expect, and also, they are quite naive about the structure or the nature of this Tree of Life which is built within us. Now what I’m going to tell you is the Knowledge of the Roots. So far with our developments we only know the Knowledge of the Tree, but we have to know the Knowledge of the Roots which sustains this tree. If we do Read More …

The Work of the Divine Guildhall Theatre, Derby (England)

Public Program. Guild Hall, Derby (UK), 1 August 1984. I bow to all the seekers of truth. It’s a great pleasure to come to Derby, and I must extend My apologies for getting late as the train was late from London. We are here today to know about the truth, about what we are, about what we are going to be. All these questions relate to the unknown knowledge of our roots. Whatever we know from science or from any other mental projection is the knowledge of the tree. This is the knowledge of the roots which nourishes us, which gives us growth, which gives us desire, which works out all our actions, physical and mental, and which evolves us. The problem is when we are dealing with the tree as in the West we seldom forget that the tree has to be related to the growth of the root. When in the West the tree was growing was so fast, in the East, in India, people were understanding, trying to meditate, about the roots. As the East has to learn scientific ways from the West, the Western people have to learn about the roots. There’s nothing to think that something is higher than lower. The roots have no meaning without the tree and tree has no existence without the roots. Whether you are born in the East, West, North or South, all of us have got a human body and human body is a very special thing that God Read More …

Devi Puja: Achieve the power of Spirit within Mula Dam, Rahuri (India)

Puja at Mula Dam, “Achieve the power of Spirit within”. Rahuri (India) 26 February 1984 . [English Transcript] I hope your journey has been comfortable so far and will be comfortable later on, as the source of comfort is your Spirit. And more you see to the comfort of your Spirit the problems of outside comforts drop off. You are not bothered as to where you live, where you sleep, what you eat, what you do. So allow these gross sensitivities to drop down so that the inner, subtler sensitivities grow. That’s why you are here, to get over your time, conditionings…l mean it is a rat-race, and the rat race has to be somehow or other stopped, once and for all, “without”. So here we can do it “without”, and once you start meditating, that “within” can also be achieved and you can achieve that peace which all human beings should have, if we have to save this world from complete destruction. As you must have realized that now the Sahaja Yoga is growing much faster, and is taking a good speed. And we all have to keep ourselves equipped to be able to be part and parcel of this great evolutionary and revolutionary process which is going to stir up the whole world. For that, it is important also to see that we take ourselves to task and don’t get into mediocre living and mediocre thinking. We are people of very great potential. Not only that, but we Read More …

Navaratri Puja (incomplete) Boston (United States)

1983-1015 Navaratri Puja ………[] used are not known to you because he is telling about another side of life. As we are human beings you see all our history is connected to each other. First of all, you have to forget that you are Americans or you are Canadians or you are Indians. You have to know the human history has to be followed as complete as complete human history. And behind the history of spirituality, you have to seek the very ancient countries, and one of them was in India. In India, people tried to find out what was the purpose of our life? Why we came on this earth? The main thing that helped them to do that first of all was that is the country where you can live very easily. There’s no problem with the climate. There’s no problem of the extreme colds and extreme breeze as you have [seen]. It is kind of a climate we seldom have in that country and even if you have it you have it for about two-three months. When you know this is the rainy season when it is going to rain. You have proper seasons. It is very easy to live in India in the forest if you live there’s no problem. You can live with…under a tree. And you don’t have to wear too many clothes or you don’t have to wear a coat like in England you have to spend at least 15 minutes dressing up Read More …

When you become thoughtlessly aware, you become present in the present Urania, Vienna (Austria)

Public Program Day 3. Urania, Vienna (Austria), 6 September 1983. I bow to all the seekers of Spirit. We have already heard about the Kundalini, the chakras, the balancing process in our body. Now, when the Kundalini rises and when She crosses this center called as Agnya Chakra, then you become thoughtlessly aware, called as Nirvichara Samadhi. A thought rises and falls off, another thought comes and falls off; it disappears into the past. It may come from future or from past, but in between these two thoughts there is a gap and this gap is the present. So when you become thoughtlessly aware, you become present in the present, because there are no thoughts coming from the past or from the future. See, as I see you just now as you are, I don’t have to think about, I know you are there. And if this state exists for everything – that you don’t have to think about it – the knowledge is absolutely identified with your mind. So this process of thinking cannot be stopped by any other method but Kundalini awakening. But sometimes, if you get possessed by something, then maybe you just don’t know what you are doing, you are just confused. That’s a state where you are not yourself, you are not aware. But this I’m telling you about thoughtless awareness. At this stage also you start manifesting certain powers of that stage. Like as if you become governor, then you get the powers of Read More …

Sahasrara Puja: Above the Sahasrar Gorai Creek, Mumbai (India)

Above the Sahasrar, Sahasrar day, Gorai Creek, Bombay (India) 5 May 1983. On behalf of all of you, I thank the Sahaja Yogi organisers of Bombay who have made these arrangements, and on my own behalf also, I thank them a lot. This is a beautiful place they have chosen for us. It is also a gift of God that at this time the thing about which I was going to speak, sitting under the same trees, the talk of Sahasrara is taking place. Fourteen years ago or we could say already thirteen years have passed and now the fourteenth year has started this great work of opening the Sahasrara was accomplished in this world. I have told you about this many a times, on every Sahasrara day, as to what had happened, how it was done and what is its importance. But the fourteenth birthday is very important, because man lives at fourteen levels and the day he crosses over the fourteenth level, he becomes a complete Sahaja Yogi. Therefore, today Sahaja Yoga has also become Sahaja Yogi. Like this, God has created fourteen levels within us. If you simply count them, then you know that there are seven Chakras within us; besides these there are two more Chakras, about which you do not talk much. They are the Moon chakra (Lalita chakra) & Sun chakra (Shri chakra). Then there is the Hamsa Chakra. Thus there are three more: seven plus three make ten. Then there are four chakras Read More …

Agnya Chakra, The door of heaven New Delhi (India)

Agnya chakra. Delhi (India), 3 February 1983. Today we are going to understand the centre of Agnya. Agnya Chakra, which is placed on the crossing of the ‘optic chiasma.’ The nerves that supply the eyes go backwards in the opposite direction and wherever they cross, this subtle centre is situated. It has a continuous connection with the other centres through the ‘medulla oblongata.’ This centre has got two petals. And this subtle centre on one side acts through the eyes and at the back of the head where you have some protrusion. This is the physical side of this centre is. Now the people who talk of the third eye, this is the third eye. So that we have two eyes with which we see and there is a third eye which is a subtler eye through which we can see. If you see this eye, that means you are away from it. For example, if you can see your eyes that means you are seeing your reflection, not the reality. If you see anything that means you are looking at it. So those people who say they see an eye for example people who take LSD and all such things, they start seeing another eye. They just see this eye and they think their third eye has opened. Actually, you are very much away from the eye, that is why you can see it. You go to a supraconscious level on the right side and on the left side Read More …

The power of your Spirit must manifest Brussels (Belgium)

Public Program Day 3, Brussels (Belgium), 21 September 1982. … of these things, they can fall a trap to all these people who practise this kind of black magic. But an intelligent man must understand that what you have to get is your realization. That means the power of your Spirit must manifest, not the powers of some dead spirits which makes you … also they can take your body and travel, astral travelling and all that. They can do all kinds of things. All this type of spirits that enter into human awareness always cause diseases and also can cause lots of problems: mental and physical. Most of the mental cases are afflicted by these; all of them I should say. And if they are to be cured, only thing what you have to do is to see that the spirits depart from them, and they are absolutely normal. In My own experience, all the cancer patients that I have cured had an affliction from the left side. They were all possessed by something or other, either by guru or by some sort of a left-sided attachment or they had troubles like muscular, you see, muscular disability, yes, yes, that sort of thing and all polio, virus infection all are due to the left-sided attack. Virus is due to the left-sided attack of some horrible vegetables which have gone out of the circulation; even tobacco is one of them. It is another devilish thing. Tobacco is a thing that Read More …

And for that, I was thinking of getting about five or six people from various countries to be seated here, and who all –Hello, how are you?Sahaja Yogi: Very good Mother.Shri Mataji: Nice to see you. Who’ll ask questions to them. And I want to watch what sort of questions you ask, what sort of answers you get. And of course, I’ll also be able to answer some of the questions. And how to answer the question of a person who is not yet Realized, is half-baked, and how to handle the situation. We have to learn, that is very important. Because you have to know that negativity is in complete force all the time. And we have to face the negative ideas, negative people, negative plans. And when they plan, it is necessary – please, come, all of you-It is necessary for all the Sahaja Yogis that they should be equipped– Move forward.Sahaja Yogi: Come forward. Shri Mataji: They should be so equipped that they should be able to face sometimes [inaudible]. There can be many like that you meet, who are seekers, who have been seeking, who have been doing lots of mistakes and who have conditioning problems Read More …

Havan and Ajwan after the Bhoomi Puja Derby (England)

Talk before Havan after the Bhoomi Puja [PROBABLY A PART IS MISSING] Sahaja Yoga is such a light that you start seeing things so clearly. You understand who is the person, who is the positive, who is the person who is negative. The other day as we were discussing the writers we could feel those people who were positive, who were realized souls and those who were now not and how some of the people were affected. We are not impressed by how many books they have printed or how much popularity they have got or how much money they have earned or how much intellectual acrobats it gives us. What we feel is the – even not without vibrations, without feeling the vibrations, the light is such that you start understanding that this person is negative and whatever he wrote was negative or he was trying to do something absurd and [Aside: Maybe some other time. That’s all.] or whether he was influenced by someone or he was himself a very bad man. Everything becomes so clear-cut. You start understanding every sort of an action in a proper light and by that you understand what, what is the problem and how it should be attacked. Now, you see, how people are identified with wrong type of people and how they start acting with that identification becomes very obvious. For example, there is Mr. X who is a negative person. Now there are some people who are identified with that Read More …

Shri Bhoomi Devi Puja Derby (England)

Shri Bhoomi Devi Puja. Derby (UK), 12 July 1982. The Puja is celebrated outside, on a very windy and cool day. When Shri Mataji arrives, She looks upward towards the sky. Then Shri Mataji sits down on Her chair and takes a small girl in Her arms. She will keep her on Her lap during the whole talk. Today I was telling Rustom that we should do of course the Puja of the Bhumi, because She’s angry actually, because She has produced such beautiful scenic beauty in this part of the country, and while the people who lived here have not understood the beauty that She has given them, and have tried to take to ugly and very sinful methods of invoking the satanic and negative forces. And this has made Her very angry, I felt it the other day when we went out. And it is done through the ignorance of the people, no doubt, but still, some of them, even knowingly, are indulging into things like these. Is a very serious thing, because you are inviting, inviting the satanic forces to work out your destruction. These forces are never your friends, they’re destructive, they can never be your friends, because you came out of the construction of God, and they are the destructions, and they can never be your friends. So the nature has to be annoyed about it (Shri Mataji looks upwards), and they think that this country doesn’t deserve a puja (Shri Mataji smiles). It is Read More …

Mahashivaratri Puja: What makes Mother pleased? New Delhi (India)

Mahashivaratri Puja, New Delhi, India, February, 22th, 1982 Today is the day when we celebrate Mahashivaratri. Is a great day, or we should say great night. This puja should have been in the night. Is a great night when Shiva was established on this earth. Because that way Shiva is eternal. So, one would say that, “Why Shiva?” like a birthday of Shiva you can say or something, “How can it be?”, because He is eternal, He is all the time there. So, what demarcates today’s celebration, is the establishment of Shiva on this earth. In the material self. Every matter has been created with a deity and that deity is established in that matter, as you know. So, when it was thought by Adi Shakti that first we must establish Shiva; without Shiva you cannot establish anything. First, He is to be established, because He is the absolute. So you have to establish Shiva. And now what should we do? How to establish Him? He is the God of Tamo Guna. He is the cold, He is the God of all that is not active. So first of all, this earth, when it receded from the sun, which was very hot, was taken very near to the moon. The moon is the brother-in-law of Shiva. So it was taken so close to moon that the whole earth got covered with ice. And it was then gradually moved towards the sun. When it was moved towards the sun, gradually, then Read More …

Public Program Laxminarayan Temple, New Delhi (India)

Public Program. Lakshmi Narayan temple, New Delhi (India), 18 February 1981. Press the button and the light will start coming. If I tell you what is its history and how it came into being, what is this electricity, then you will get a headache specially…(UNCLEAR WORD). If you are ready to break your heads, I am even ready to do that. If you want to discuss your intellect, let’s do that. I know that also, but you won’t be able to find God. I have to ask you, we have read and debated a lot but you do want to find Him or not. Ofcourse you did a lot, you reached as far as your intellect could guide you, now think of yourself, and think of the meaning of yourself, you would think Wah! Wah! What miracle Shri Mataji has done, She has raised it. Do you have to follow it or not, first decide that because we have big pundits and intellectuals otherwise I can also unlayer their intellectual conditionings? (This is influence; literally Mother said “that She could take of their (intellectuals) peepal leaves.), but I do not have time for these sort of people (Mother is referring to intellectuals). Those who want, they should acquire their own powers in a humble and totally dedicated manner, because the secret of the secrets has never been told until now. You will be told everything, but before that you must get your self realization, otherwise it will be like ……”you Read More …

Sahaj treatments Bordi (India)

Conversation with Sahaja Yogis on Sahaj treatments, Problems of Sahaja Yoga, Bordi, India, 24 January 1981 Mr. Chavan: Of a certain other individual or the individual who has been caught, what to do? So, he is advised in the matter like this, first you put your own attention in your own Sahasrara, this is the first thing you have to do. Then while chanting the mantra, put the attention on the chakra of the person to whom you are giving treatment. And also, your attention should be simultaneously on your own chakra. Then while chanting the mantra you can give a flow of vibration or you can go on giving bandhana to that chakra. Now by chanting mantra only for a time, may not release the chakra. So you have to repeat the chantings, as you go on increasing the chanting, say 7 times, 10 times, 21 times, like that, and you find simultaneously when your attention is there, you find that the chakra is getting relieved, it is getting opened and the Kundalini is making its movement in a proper manner. So, that’s how you have to relieve a chakra while chanting the mantra with the help of mantra. Now, there was another question from Mr. Pitkar. He asked that a number of Sahaja Yogis who find themselves stuck at certain chakra and they feel they don’t know how to go ahead, what they should do? He says, we want to have certain tips by which we can make Read More …

The Mahalakshmi Power, Diwali Puja Temple of All Faiths, Hampstead (England)

“The Mahalakshmi Power,” Diwali Puja. Hampstead (London), 9 November 1980 …English, in the sense that we sat down together and translated Sanskrit puja into English and tried to make it more understandable by you people. It’s the day of Mahalakshmi puja they say, not only of Lakshmi Puja. There’s a difference between the two. Mahalakshmi is one of the powers of the three powers, main powers, of Adi Shakti. As you know: Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswati, Mahakali. Now these powers have powers at a material level also, at a subtler level also. So Mahalakshmi power is achieved after Lakshmi power, as they say. So, the Lakshmi…there are eight powers of Lakshmi. This Lakshmi was born, who came out of the sea, the great sea, which was churned thousands and thousands of years back. And She came out of the sea because She is the daughter of the sea. That’s why She’s called as Neeraja. ‘Neera’ means ‘water’ and ‘ja’ means ‘born out of’. This has happened thousands and thousand [of] years back that She was born. So what is that? What is this Lakshmi symbolically, what is it expressing? It is expressing the awareness. Lakshmi expresses awareness, and She came out of the sea, you know that. The awareness first started growing in the sea. The life started existing in the sea, to begin with, and then it grew out. Without the life there is no awareness. First the life, because everything is jada (inanimate matter), everything is dead. And when it Read More …

Birthday Puja Talk: Guarding Against Slothfulness 4A Castletown Rd, London (England)

Birthday Puja. London (UK), 23 March 1980. The birthday of Your Mother, and all such celebrations have a very deep significance, because on such occasions, special vibrations flow in the atmosphere. When all the celestial bodies, the Eternal Personalities, Gods and Goddesses sing the praise, and that’s how the whole atmosphere is filled with mirth and happiness. Human beings also, express their gratitude. Expression of gratitude and love is done in different, different ways in different countries, but the substance remains the same and the forms change. The substance is like the ocean which flows continuously towards the shores and the ripples which touch the shores are again repelled back, and a nice pattern is formed. It is such a spontaneous thing and is so beautiful, creates such a beautiful pattern in the atmosphere. All these waves when they weave together the pattern of love they soothe human beings, they enchant human beings and the whole thing is very blissful. On such occasions a special type of feelings develop, which we cannot express in words so the expression could be in any form. But the main thing is the expression. God has expressed Himself by Creation, by creating this Creation. While the Creation has to express its gratitude by glorifying Him, and this play must go on eternally. It’s the most beautiful play. Those who indulge into this play lead an eternal life. That life is unending, never breaks and binds the whole universe with its beautiful music. Today, specially, Read More …

Guru Puja: Gravity Point London (England)

Guru Puja. Dollis Hill Ashram, London (UK), 8 July 1979. Today is the day of Guru Purnima. It is a full moon day, that’s why it’s called as purnima. The guru has to be like a full moon: means completely grown, completely matured. There are sixteen kalas, or the phases, of the moon, and when the complete purnima comes in, the full moon day, all the sixteen kalas are completed. You also know that in the Vishuddhi chakra there are sixteen sub plexuses. When Krishna is described as Viraata, He’s called as the Sampoorna: the complete incarnation of Vishnu’s aspect. Because He’s got the sixteen phases completely done. So today’s number is sixteen. Six plus one is seven. Now we have to understand the importance of guru. Why should we have a guru when we have God? We have got shakti, then why should we have a guru? What is the need to have a guru? ‘Guru’ means the weight, the weight. We get our weight from the magnetic forces of the gravity of the Mother Earth. So guru means gravity, the gravity in a person. Why do we need a guru? Because to know God is easy, specially in Sahaja Yoga, to be one with Him. As soon as you get your Self-Realisation in Sahaja Yoga, the modern Sahaja Yoga, immediately you become entitled to give Realisations to other people. It was said that guru is the person who makes you meet the Divine. But it’s not true, because Read More …

Spirit, Attention, Mind Finchley Ashram, London (England)

“Spirit, Attention, Mind”, Finchley Ashram, London (UK), 20th February 1978. …and He’s using us as an instrument. Come along! As I have said.  Now Christine had asked me, “What is our surrendering?” And he has asked me if we have a free will or not. All right? You have a free will of your own. Especially human beings have it, not the animals. You have the free will to choose, we can say, good and bad, righteous and unrighteousness. Now, you can choose to surrender, or not to surrender, to His will: to be dominated by your own will. Now, she asked me, “What is the surrender?” Surrendering, as I have been saying, that is to be done in three stages. Especially here in this country where people think, rationalise, analyse; because it’s not easy. If you can do it otherwise, you can do it automatically. Supposing God, Himself, is sort of based according to your certain conceptions. I don’t know what sort of conceptions you have about God, but supposing you have certain conceptions, individual ones. Everyone has individual conceptions for God. And maybe that you see that He’s so Almighty and He’s so great and you just bow to Him without thinking. But that cannot be. So the first one is to surrender by understanding rationally. Nobody is unconscious, nobody is in the subconscious. You are all very conscious as to what you are doing and what’s happening to you. So when you see that the Divine Force Read More …

Teen Shaktiya (Three Powers) Mumbai (India)

“Teen Shaktiyan” “Three Powers”, Seminar & Meeting, 21st January 1975, Mumbai (Dadar)  [Hindi to English Translation v1] Just like a gardener cultivates a garden and nurtures it with love, and then he watches out for the blooming flowers in the garden, the joy the gardener feels upon seeing those flowers is inexplicable.  The name ‘Krishna’ is derived from ‘Krishi’. ‘Krishi’, you know, is ‘agriculture’. During Shri Krishna’s time it was primarily agriculture, and during Christ’s time it was irrigated with his blood. The fertile land of this world has been adorned by so many incarnations before.  Today, in this age of Kali Yuga, the time has come when we can witness the blossoming of of that farming, to breathe in the fragrance of those flowers. These vibrations [Chaitanya Lehriyān] flowing from your hands is the same fragrance, because of which the entire world, the entire creation and the entire nature is functioning.  But today you are those chosen flowers, chosen over the ages, to blossom so that today your vibrations and your fragrance should spread across the world, cleanse its sludge and eliminate the filth of this ocean of illusion [Maya Sagar].  When looking at it, one may wonder how it is possible, Mataji is making a big statement. But this is a continuous process [Silsila] and, when the destination has arrived in front you, then thinking, “Why it has arrived? How has it come? How can this happen? When you were walking, did the destination not arrive? When you Read More …
