We have to know the Absolute Truth Brisbane (Australia)

Public Program. Brisbane (Australia), 17 April 1994. I bow to all the seekers of truth. At the very outset, I have to tell you that truth is what it is: you cannot change it, you cannot conceptualize it, you cannot know it unfortunately at this human awareness. A little bit more of our evolutionary process has to take place. You have been alreayd told about the centres thatwe have within ourselves and how we get our self realisation. Regarding this I have to say that you should not believe me, whatever I have to say, blindfolded. We have had enough of problems with blindfolded faiths. But you must keep your mind open like a scientist, because whatever I say is proved, then you have to accept as honest people, because it is for the benevolence of your being, benevolence of your family, benevolence of your city, of your country and the whole world.Today the problems you are facing, all kind of problems are due to the jeopardy of these centres. When these centres go into trouble, we have problems at human level. And the problems of the world are mostly because of human beings. If, by some means, we know about this, we become aware of it. Knowing is not, just in a lecture, but to be aware of it. And if you know how to correct it, then you are all right physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually you are all right. So the truth is that you are not this body, this mind, these Read More …

Talk to Sahaja Yogis Wamuran Ashram, Brisbane (Australia)

Talk at Wamuran Ashram, Queensland (Australia). 13 April 1994. [Full talk: from video…] Shri Mataji; Sit here, in front… so that everybody… Please be seated.  It’s already become… The sun has gone behind the…no, just come this way a little bit.   Also there could be… no no, you are alright… see all of them could be… You could remove the table if you like.  Yah, you could come this way. So, we have a very nice place for us to come to and to be in the nature, uh… as they say, ‘Far from the madding crowd’.  It’s very good for meditation and for enjoying your being within.  As I have already told you in New Zealand, that the whole thing is ruined because of money-orientation.  Money has become so important.  It has gone to the other end – so much so that it has created a very paradoxical culture.  Certain things I’ve been reading and I have been really shocked.  The other day I read that two children killed their parents – machine gunned them, in Pennsylvania – because the parents were very kind to them and they developed a feeling that, ‘They are nice to us because they want to kill us.’ And so they went and killed.  I mean, imagine the psychology: how this psychology is built with children, why they become so perverted?  When we have hopes from children now, not from the old people so much who are already not coming to Sahaja Yoga  Read More …

Talk to Sahaja Yogis Before Departure about Children Brisbane Airport, Brisbane (Australia)

Talk to Yogis, Brisbane Airport (transit to NZ). Brisbane (Australia), 22 February 1992. You shouldn’t go in the sun, in the daytime, I must say. It’s a worse sun than in India I tell you. It’s all right in the morning, about nine-ten o’clock, and in the evening, after six. It’s a very bad sun, and then you get all these problems of the skin, you see these days, they are developing, what do you call, cancer of the skin, very common. So one should never go to extremes, go up to this and then stop it. The whole of Brisbane was empty, they all had gone to the, beach I think. Even now, it’s very hot. Little later it might be. Best is the morning sun. Now there’s a very big trend according to the newspapers, that people are taking to alternate religions now, they are fed up with the Christianity. They are going to Buddhism and other things. So one has to talk to them, that Buddhism, what Buddhists have got? Nothing. They are so much [INAUDIBLE]. Islam also is taking roots. So we have to move, and we have to talk to them, otherwise…You see once you get this Islam nonsense, you can’t get out of it. Is the worst of all. You have to talk to people about it all somehow. I don’t know, how do you stop. They are fundamentalists. Absolutely. And they say that if anybody wants to get out of Islam, then they Read More …

The Spirit comes into your attention, when you are completely enlightened Brisbane (Australia)

Public Program Day 2. Brisbane (Australia), 21 February 1992. I bow to all the seekers of truth. As I told you yesterday that truth is what it is. We cannot transform it, we cannot change it and we cannot know it at human awareness. I never read scriptures as I don’t think I have to read them because I know them. But I was reading the Koran and also the Bible from this Christian science thing, all other scriptures also. I mean, what they are saying is absolutely true: that you have to be righteous, you have to be above violence, you have to be detached. All these things are absolutely the same, no doubt. There is no change. In all these scriptures they say the same thing. This was said about 8000 years back by Shri Rama then by Shri Krishna, then it was said by Socrates, Lao Tze, Abraham – all of them have said the same thing. Then Mohammed Sahib said the same thing, Nanaka said the same thing. Now what’s wrong? Still we find all these people are not what they are supposed to be and it’s admitted. And they give explanation for that. Like I’m reading the intellectuals from Islam. They said that Islam is very different from Muslims but they must get educated. If they get educated in Islam they’ll be alright. I’ve seen many Islamic people who are very well educated – there is nothing of the kind. They are just like anybody Read More …

Shri Mahalakshmi Puja: Always Introspect Wamuran Ashram, Brisbane (Australia)

“The Mahalakshmi Principle,” Shri Mahalakshmi Puja, Brisbane (Australia), February 20th, 1992 Something wrong. Who has made those with the things…You should put more of cotton in that, you see, slips back. Can you get it done by the…For pujas you must use Indian girls, [is] better. They know all these things better you see. They said that, “Nobody asked us.” So they just sit on the fence (laughing). They would think that, “We should not come forward, because they’ll think these people are talking too much, these Indians,” So, I mean, when they have to come they should come. You can see, yesterday’s film, that we have a tradition, you see, we know all these things, isn’t it? This has been there in that country, so they should tell you, and you should not mind that. They also have the same fear as you have that they will say, “You have an ego”. I don’t know how to go about with anything It’s quite warm. It’s alright. I’ll teach you how to make this, alright? May God bless you. Today I was thinking that we’ll do the puja to Mahalakshmi, will be better. So that we’ll understand what Vishwa Nirmala Dharma is. As you know, the Mahalakshmi Principle lies within all of you, in the centre. And once you are fed up with the falsehood, and also with the hypocrisy of people, you start seeking the truth within. That’s how a new category of people are born, who are called Read More …

Talk to Sahaja Yogis Wamuran Ashram, Brisbane (Australia)

1992-02-20 Talk to Sahaja Yogis Brisbane- 1992 Sometimes please My people, without understanding, what is the reality they motivate and then they start misusing that but then it becomes a curse on them. So one should keep one’s  worship Bhakti (devotion) absolutely accurate, that’s the best way. All right. Mother is laughing for something. It is very sad to see a lady being torchered like this. But in those days it was so but not now. All she went, she has gone in the history of a greatSati and all these powers are on the right side like Savitri Gayatri all of them are, some of them are on the left side. They became powers within us. So their sacrifices have created powers within us.

Talk to Sahaja Yogis after Public Program Wamuran Ashram, Brisbane (Australia)

Talk to Sahaja Yogis after Public Program. Brisbane (Australia), 19 February 1992. Only thing I have to tell that these people who will be coming to you now, they are very beautiful nice people. I think we have to, handle them very gently. That’s very important, and not to tell them: ‘You have got a bhoot in you and this and that.’ Then they get frightened, they can’t [INAUDIBLE] There should be very gentle handling of the whole situation. It’s all right once they are Realized souls, then they understand the dangers there. But before that one should not. Slowly slowly you should just develop them, and if somebody is difficult don’t argue. Is best is not quarrel. It will all become mental I think, mental process. So these things should not happen here again. Some sort of a group, starting up suddenly against the leader and, behaving in a funny manner and, this should not be done. It’s a very wrong thing to do. If you have anything against the leader you can write to Me directly. There’s no harm in writing to Me. Directly you must write to Me. Instead of, forming a group against the leader, forming some sort of a, thing which is not required. There’s no necessity. If there’s some truth in it I can correct the leader, I can tell him. But we have to understand that we cannot do this thing, because if you get out of, the Kingdom of God, you fall Read More …

Kundalini works out your Self-realisation Brisbane City Hall, Brisbane (Australia)

Public Program Day 1. Brisbane (Australia), 19 February 1992. I bow to all the seekers of truth. At the very outset we have to know that truth is what it is. We cannot change it, we cannot transform it. Also we cannot know it at human awareness. We have to become a subtler being, as Christ has said you must be born again. Something has to happen to us to know the truth. It’s obvious that we do not know the absolute truth. If we had known the absolute there would have been no quarrels, no fighting, no problems. But we don’t know and that’s why have committed so many mistakes. When we look at the science what we find: we have crossed over all the limits and have created horrible giants to kill us like hydrogen bomb, oxygen bomb. Even when you look at religion then what we find in the religion: that whatever is preached, whatever is the fake work, whatever is said is excellent, is wonderful. The incarnations, the prophets are all right but why while following it we fail? We cannot do it. What is the reason? We may belong to any religion but we are capable of committing any sin. So what’s wrong with this? Why it is that whatever we’ve reached, whatever we have learned mentally doesn’t work out? It’s an obvious thing to know that we do not know the absolute truth and that that truth, whatever it is, is not innate within Read More …

Talk to Sahaja Yogis on Arrival Brisbane (Australia)

Talk to Yogis on Arrival from Sydney. Brisbane (Australia), 18 February 1992. Our education system in the West, I don’t know about others but, here, in Australia, I was surprised the way teachers are controlled. Not the children, and after some time, I think all children will become like brats, and take to… Yogi: Very short time. Shri Mataji: …very short time, and they take to drugs I mean. You are not supposed to tell anything to your children, you are not supposed to, control them. Can’t understand. There’s a new theory that has come, stupid, that: ‘Let them express themselves’. What will they express? They are not matured. They don’t see the nature. You see when a fruit comes out, it has to be allowed to grow. That’s why you become so haphazard and, you become scatterbrains actually I don’t know. Attention is so much, all around. What have they achieved I don’t know. In the recent years have you heard of anyone, who has, done some miracles (SOUNDS LIKE with children) in the science or anywhere? Nothing. Children are so wise. I must tell you [INAUDIBLE] not only your child, everybody’s. The parents are natural [INAUDIBLE] but you should see the teachers, they are all becoming mad. Now they are building the top storey [INAUDIBLE] to conduct classes. It will take about three-four months, but because of the children it is taking so much time. They all rush up, upstairs, take the hammer, do this, hit that, run Read More …

Bhavasagara Puja: Meditation will protect you Brisbane (Australia)

Shri Bhavasagara Puja, Brisbane (Australia), 6 April 1991. This is the first time we are having a puja in Brisbane, and I’m happy so many have come here from various places. You know that by puja, you excite the chakras within Me and you get lots of vibrations, and you achieve, suddenly, a height in your awareness. You do achieve that, but after some time they say that: “Mother, again we come down.” Also, they were saying that: “When we go to India we are all right, and when we come back, again we come down.”  Luckily, now we have an Ashram, which is a very good thing. To have an ashram itself is a, I must say, is a very, very positive thing because that is how Ganesha is established here. So Ashram is here for a collective living, but [a] collective living of spirituality. It’s not just living here, but it is of spirituality. And we have to know certain things about the discipline that we have to keep, [which] is very important. It’s not just a house where are,  some people have gathered together to live together, but it has to have a discipline. Then only you’ll be helped – because if you do not come to the Ashram with this idea that you are going there to ascend yourself, it will make no difference whether you stay in the house or you go in the Ashram. So there are two types of meditation, two types, where Read More …

Talk to Sahaja Yogis Brisbane (Australia)

Talk to Yogis in Brisbane (Australia), 5 April 1991. Sahaja yogi: I’m really sorry that she was the only one of the Brisbane media that turned up.  Shri Mataji: There were many expected? Sahaja yogi: Yes, but not expected, I sent to all the television and radio stations and both newspapers and I found them yesterday and they all said the same story, “Maybe, it depends on what the day is like.” Shri Mataji: They are busy with something so called important, all these newspapers. To be in the newspapers you have to be in the politics, that’s the only way. Otherwise they don’t care for you. Sahaja yogi: And they don’t even listen because I told them in a way that Shri Mataji is in politics. I told them about Sir C.P. being who he was, and introduced that angle and still they didn’t buy it. I think if they see anything to do with God or the Spirit, they are frightened. Or they think It doesn’t exist or – don’t know. I don’t know what we can do Shri Mother. Shri Mataji: I think we are spreading the best way. Those who are the people, who would come to Sahaja Yoga would be coming, whosoever. But those who are not that kind, can never come. So also to have too much advertisement and all that, I don’t know how far we’ll be successful. There may be some we can never give realization perhaps. But you go on. In Read More …

Media Interview Brisbane Airport, Brisbane (Australia)

Media interview. Brisbane Airport (Australia), 5 April 1991. Interviewer: …condition like, for instance Gorbachev…  Shri Mataji: He is a realized soul. He’s born a realized soul. It’s a, it’s a state of mind which is spiritual and where your spirit is in your attention. So in that light, you see wisdom. You are compassionate and you’re very sensible and dynamic and you do not get ruffled easily. Apart from that, it gives you a great concern for the masses and you don’t mind rectifying anything that is wrong and also you feel very, I should say, powerful – the power of love.  Interviewer: Right. Do You think Gorbachev…  has all these qualities? Shri Mataji: I think he has many.  I’m going to meet him this time when I go there. I mean, I’ve been missing him and he’s been missing Me – it’s like that but he has seen the point quite alright, that this kind of an extreme regimentation of communism doesn’t help. Also he sees the point what’s wrong with democracy, so he doesn’t want to go to that extent of democratic life like America is, where it’s complete abandonment and they have got so many problems because of this kind of freedom which is just licence. So he’s a balanced person and he’s very righteous in his own character – extremely righteous man. Like a, you see, I should say that, Socrates has described that, “We should have benevolent kings,” you see. So he believes in benevolence Read More …

Jung and the collective consciousness Brisbane (Australia)

Public Program. Brisbane (Australia), 5 April 1991. Baba Mama (H.P.Salve): Before that, I would like to add to what Steven was talking. That the origin of music is traced to the Omkara that is the beginning of the sound and the origin of divinity is also traced to Omkara. Therefore, all music which is music if I insist is divine. I don’t have to reach your intellectual capacity since my music has nothing to do with your brains. It has to only do with your hearts. My job or as Steven says my task would be to see that I open up your hearts  and I am sure I will do that in the process of next twenty or thirty minutes. Because you are all seekers and you are here to take your realisation. I promise you that if you open up your heart realisation would be so easy. May I now present to you my band of musicians. To begin with, is this young little lady with Guruji himself, that is Chaya Wangade. Don’t be deceived by her frail frame. She has got a very dynamic voice. Next to her who sat down just now is Guruji the “sheet actor [UNCLEAR]” the source of this flowing river of purity. Now, I call Sandesh Upatkar. He plays the tabla which is a very popular percussion in India. This is played vertically and he is at this tender age an expert on this instrument. Next I call is Ashok. This stocky Read More …

What is the purpose of our coming? Brisbane (Australia)

Public Program, Birsbane, Australia, 1990-03-11 I bow to all the seekers of truth. When you seek truth, how dynamic one can become. You can see the way these artists are, how the blessings of the truth helps you in your self-confidence and in the expression of your art and also you must have seen how the people from the West, who have had no training in Indian music, which is very difficult, how they have taken easily to it. In the same way, the Indians have taken to Western music very easily. The reason is we have to understand what we are and that’s the truth one has to know. The truth is that you are the Spirit. You are not this body, this mind, this ego, emotions, but you are the Spirit. Until you become the Spirit you cannot feel the all-pervading Power which is very subtle and this is another truth one has to realise, that this power exists and it does all the living works. It organises, it thinks, above all it loves you. But when I say this you have to have an open mind of a scientist. If what I am saying, like a hypothesis, turns out to be true, then you have to accept it in all your honesty. The most important thing today is to ask a question to ourselves: “Why are we here? What is the purpose of our coming?”If we ask such a question, then only a new search towards truth will start Read More …

Conversation with Sahaja Yogis on buying the Ashram Brisbane (Australia)

Conversation Sahaja yogi:        [Inaudible: Place of work?] Shri Mataji:         You can go for your work. Staying in the city is not so good for Sahaja Yogis. You see, vibration-wise and also not good for your lungs, you see. It’s better to be little away if you want to meditate. First and foremost thing is you have to ascend. For that you should be in a place which will help you to ascend. Otherwise, if you live in the city, the city hubbub [unclear. in the city] all nonsense. Can’t even meditate properly and it’s so polluted. It spoils your lungs completely. So it would be nice to be a little away from the city. Try to find some house of that kind. And first you have to get a mortgage for that which you can do if all of you put together. And then you have to pay the rent of the house as the mortgage part of the mortgage. So you own it all. Sahaja yogi:        I think it would take some time to own a place of that kind. Shri Mataji:         I didn’t follow that. Sahaja yogi:        He said they have desired for some time to own something rather than pay rent. Shri Mataji:   Yes if you can. Whatever is possible. If you can own something, nothing like it. But can you?  You see, this is the way I said that you first pay the first instalment. I would like to know what is it. How much you Read More …

He gives the words of the chorus and ask for silence as Shri Mataji starts to speak.Shri Mataji: It’s kabira who has sang because he was a dyer and he used to put colour on cloth and all kinds of things so he always used similes which were connected with his profession…. He said that. He said that -Oh, make my- “Jhini” (what does it mean)Babamama: colour. He reminds Shri Mataji the word of the songShri Mataji: colour- oh make my sheet that I’m colouring, that means his body, You’d better color it “Jhini rigini”..“Ma ke ranga me” means colour it up, means it should be coloured with that “ranga me”.So now we have different key of the same part. Would you like to tell us something on Holi, this, I made it for Holi festival.Shri Mataji: The Holi festival is coming now, today, actually, tomorrow is the Holi, but for our convenience we are going to have it on the 18. And the Holi festival was started by Shri Krishna, because before Shri Krishna was Shri Rama who was a very serious Incarnation to make human beings as perfect human beings and he’s called as Purushottama, he is the highest being among human beings. So the people were quite serious and they were doing everything so seriously and working out all kinds of rituals. Shri Krishna came and said : “Oh, Read More …

The need for self-realization Brisbane City Hall, Brisbane (Australia)

Public Program. City Hall, Brisbane (Australia), 5 May 1987. I bow to all the seekers of truth. Just now, Albert has very clearly described to you the mechanism that is within us which works out our Self-Realisation. There is a mechanism, no doubt. When we are in this room, we see so many lights and there is a mechanism behind this. But what we do is to just switch on and the lights are there. So the whole mechanism is already built within us through our evolutionary process. Now we have reached at a point when we have to achieve the result of the evolutionary process. In the West, people had the quest to find out outside this body. I would say that they tried to find out the knowledge about the Tree of Life, but when the life is found out from outside, you can go up to a point, and the tree can also grow up to a point. You have to go to your roots. This is the knowledge of our roots. Now to say that it comes from India or it comes from a particular region is not true. India, being an ancient country of course, they have been able to go deep into it, but even in the Bible you get sentences like: ‘I will appear before you like tongues of flames,’ and these centres really looks like tongues of flames. Then in the Quran also, it is there called as ‘Asas’, the Kundalini, and Read More …

Evening at Ashram and Interview Brisbane (Australia)

Evening at Ashram and Interview, Brisbane, Australia 04-05-1987 Shri Mataji: … is very money-oriented and sometimes it becomes very crude also about it. Like I went to Boston and there they asked Me a question, ‘How many Rolls Royces She has?’ [Shri Mataji laughs] How many Rolls Royces, just think of that. I didn’t know what to say. [unclear. Break in recording] Yes, they have gone through Jung, good idea: started with Jung. I addressed them, when I was in New York. They will be very happy to have another program with Me. But I told them where Jung went wrong and why he couldn’t achieve much in his lifetime. But, the people are, at large, very stupid in America. Extremely stupid. I mean they… I talked to them about Jung and all the mistakes he must have committed and – a very deep subject. Then the chairman, an old man of eighty years, wanted to see Me personally. I said, all right, he came along and then what he says to Me, most surprisingly, he says he has a keep, and he had this keep for many years. [Yogi: A keep?] He – this gentleman. He never told his wife and now the wife is dead. Now, this keep is still not so old as I am, and now she wants to go away with another man. That’s his problem, and how can I help him. I mean, what to do, I said. [Yogi: This eighty-year-old man.] How far Read More …

Workshop Norman Park, Brisbane (Australia)

Workshop, 1985-0308, Norman Park, Brisbane, Australia I’m very happy to see so many people coming down in Brisbane. Because that is the first time they have started a centre here and to start anything that is real is the most difficulty. All great saints, great incarnations whenever they tried to talk of real things have suffered a lot. Only the artificial ones are successful very fast. Because you can produce many artificial flowers very easily, plastic flowers, but to produce real flowers it takes time. Not only that but it takes real people also to become that. Now Dr.Varon has told you so many things, I don’t know what I’m supposed to tell you. But only thing is that you must remember that now you have become yogis. Yogi means you have united with the all-pervading power of God. That doesn’t mean that you have just united and there is no effect. The first effect comes that you go beyond the realm of cause and effect. I don’t know if he has told you anything about the effect and about the certain miracles that have taken place. Varon: No, please you tell. So how the miracles take place in your life is very interesting and that you will see everyone will notice now that without any understanding, without doing anything you will find suddenly you are helped out of situations. Suddenly you get things which you never expect them normally to get. I’ll give you an example which he has Read More …
