Republic Day Pratisthan (India)

2001-0126 Republic Day Pratisthan Shree Mataji’s Republic Day Speech Pratisthan, Pune 26th January 2001 [Notes from Sahaja Yogis: Desired-media missing] A Republic Day that few of us are likely to forget in a hurry, if ever. Shri Mataji, dressed in a crisp white saree decided to have a small discussion with the Yuva Shakti members and the few senior Sahaja Yogis present in Pune. Flitting between 2001 and the strife- torn time of the freedom struggle, Shri Mataji recollected how her parents were jailed for long periods of time for being active freedom- fighters. Shri Mataji’s father spent considerable periods of time in cus- today even while local people rallied around in support of Shri Mataji’s family. Dwelling on the intense patriotism and idealism of those days for a few moments she came back to the pre- sent to remind us how devoid of national feeling this country had be- come. The people went from selfless devotion of the Deshmata to greed, indifference and rampant corruption. Deshmata occupies a position perhaps higher than that of the Mother, and Desh Bhakti forms the foundation of true Shraddha. One cannot hope to achieve union with the Divine when does not love one’s own nation. Devotion for the country will only develop from an intimate knowledge of all that is around us – the proud legacy of saints, realized souls, artists and freedom fighters; the most fragrant of flowers and the highest of mountains; the holiest of temples and the greatest exam- ples Read More …

Talk to Sahaja Yogis: The inner happening within you Magliano Sabina Ashram, Magliano Sabina (Italy)

Magliano Sabina Ashram, Magliano Sabina (Italy) 26-10-1996 We are now sitting surrounded by nature. Such beautiful nature. And this nature teaches us many things. We don’t have to have any rules and regulations if we can learn something from these trees and other things that are naturally grown. All this gives you a very good idea of a proper balance in land. So we have small children, and these children are going to grow into big trees, very big trees of love and compassion. Look at the trees, how compassionate they are. They allow every leaf, every leaf, to have the sunlight. They are in different colors and different hues;  also the flowers. In the same way, the Divine has created you in different shapes and colors [unclear].  Now these little children who are little, so sweet. I know they will be very great Sahaja yogis, may be greater than their parents because they from very childhood have known the rule of nature. They know what is good and what is bad. I am now going to a country which is faced with the problem of fundamentalism. Now these fundamentalists are saying that if you don’t take to fundamentalism, gradually all your morality will be finished. Because if there is freedom given to normal human beings, they don’t know what is the importance of morality is and they go amuck in their life and ruin their lives.  So they say that with force, we have to control the people with force. Meeting with Mayor of Tolyatti Tolyatti (Russia)

Meeting with the Mayor of Togliatti Jilkin S.F. Togliatti, Russia, 20 July 1996. Read More …

Visit to Dargah Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah Hazrat Nizamuddin, New Delhi (India)

H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi visits the shrine of the Sufi saint, Nizamuddin, in Delhi, India. (1993-0320). Shri Mataji: We worship Mohammad Sahib, you do not do puja but we do puja to Mohammad Sahib Muslim priest: Wah (wow) Shri Mataji: We do (worship) Ali, Mohammad and all other great souls. We worship and believe them all. We worship them, we believe them all. Also Rama, Shri Krishna, Isa Masiah (Jesus) Mahavir, Buddha. They (referring to yogis) worship and pray all because they have understood that all are flowers of the  same tree.  All these flowers (referring to incarnations and saints) have come from one tree only, but we pluck these flowers and then now are fighting for these dead flowers. The flowers that are alive that is what we need I know of.  Let us see now we have Hindus, Muslims, Jew (talks to the priest) the doctor that said he is a Jew, these are people (yogis) from all countries, there are Japanese, and from all countries from 56 countries. In Russia we have such people in thousands. Now they (yogis) all have become Sufis.  Until this does not happen there cannot be harmony and peace and we will not get any peace or happiness.  This hatred is not going to benefit anyone, whether be a Muslim or a Hindu. Everything else is useless Priest: yes, that is true Shri Mataji: And this is what we are doing. Now only few have come here, only few chosen group have come here. Otherwise in each Read More …

Talk at Sahaja Yoga Exhibition, Bucharest (Romania), 22 July 1992 The talk starts at 00:18:30 Very happy to meet all of you again here. I’m sorry I’m here for a very short time, but I have to travel to many countries. You people are something very unique type of Sahaja Yogis. Everybody is impressed the way you know all the songs by heart and the pronunciations also are so accurate. I hope you understand the meaning of these. To hear the last song – it is recent, very recent. Mr. Costian: It was the top on the Indian tour, Vishwa Vandita. Shri Mataji: Yes, it was. It is written by a blind poet, very famous. [Ravindra Jain] And he has written also, he has composed and written poetry for Ramayana, epic film. It’s a … I can’t understand this man, because he just met Me three times and he has seen such things very deeply about Me that really I was amazed. He has described Me in such a manner that some people have not seen those points which he has seen. I think you have got the complete tape of Vishwavandita. Also you seem very much in tune now. Something remarkable. Now, we have to meditate. You must find some time. Not now. I mean, unless and until you meditate, you cannot grow in Sahaja Yoga. Not only individually, but in collectivity. Then only you grow well. Really, I don’t know how to express My joy after seeing you Read More …

[Shri Mataji is so happy that she can be with us today] Shri Mataji: It is Hamid, you see, who managed everything. [Applause] You see, he said that: “Mother, I have come here, but I feel for all the Austrians that have not met you, they will have to meet you.” So I said: “It’s not easy; I have to have a visa.” [Laughter] And then he said: “No Mother, you don’t require a visa in Austria.” I said: “You do require, I know that.” Then I thought that, if his desire is so strong, and a desire of a Sahaja Yogi, it always masters me. [Laughter] And so I said: “Let me see in the passport.” And amazingly [Applause] And it was there till December 4th and multiple entry of the thing, nicely allowed. And it’s, I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was given in June! I don’t know how Austrian government gave me for six months with multiple entries. So also the tickets were done and everything was perfect and I’m here to see you all. Actually your desires are very powerful. I have no desires, as you know. Visiting the Shores of Ganapatipule Ganapatipule (India)

Yogini Interview Nick: Okay, get the fact’s clear in your head. Don’t worry about it. It sounds very good, it’s a very good story so Mother specifically said we should have a word with you so… Are you ready? Okay, so please give me your name and where you’re from and how long you’ve been in Sahaja Yoga. Rachael: My name’s Rachael Hall. I’ve been in Sahaja Yoga for almost three years. I’m from England. Nick: So what difference did Sahaja Yoga bring to your life? Rachael: Sahaja Yoga made an immense difference to my life because when I came along I’d been ill for two years with an illness that the doctors at the time couldn’t understand or didn’t have any knowledge about. I developed the illness due to my lifestyle which was very extreme. I was pushing myself to the limits all the time, completely exhausted, not eating and taking drugs. I was very, very thin, very pushed completely to the point of no return almost. And I developed an illness that came in the form of allergies to almost every food. I could eat only three or four foods and I was very, very tired, no energy, very weak. Splitting headaches all of the time. I would just have headaches and not be able to sleep at night. I find it very, very difficult to sleep. In fact, my whole life came to a halt. I had no social life or anything. Nick: So what did you Read More …
