Birthday Felicitations, Talk and Debu Chaudhari – Sitar New Delhi (India)

2004-03-20 Birthday Felicitations Program: Talk and Debu Chaudhari – Sitar So many of you have come, and it has given Me the greatest pleasure. I don’t know what is the felicitation you all want to do for, because after all I’m a Mother, and a Mother has to do Her job. There’s no felicitation with it. Just love, love for My children, and that is how i’ve worked and it has worked out. You can see for yourself how you have learnt to love each other. I wish all over the world people develop that love, that universal love for each other. All the our problems will be finished, no wars, no ill feeling, nothing, only there will be a beautiful wave of love among ourselves. All these things can happen, and we can reside in a very calm and collective way all the time. What is happening today is not of my liking, because to Me they are all one, and what is the need to have fights and to have differences? If they could just meditate, they will know that they are all one, there’s no difference at all. My only wish is that all of you should get your realization and that you meditate.May God bless you.Thank you!

Evening Program and Talk About Marriages Ganapatipule (India)

1993-12-24 India Tour: Talk About Marriages – After Music Program I was very happy to learn that this morning the meditation was done very well collectively. My attention was there on you. We are now going to announce the marriages, the remaining ones today. Before that, I’ve to say the same thing which I’ve said many times, that there is no compulsion for anyone, not at all, to marry a particular person who we have suggested. If you want, you can say no, completely, or you can say “Mother, change it”. Whatever you say we’ll try to do. We have big problems of hights, of education, of culture, and some people say: “We don’t want to marry indians”, or “we don’t want to marry a foreigner”, like that. Whatever it was, we have tried to comply with your desires. But of course we could not get all of you married because there were no proper matches for you, but in any case I’m sure by tomorrow we might be able to organize many more. So there is no compulsion about it, absolutely not, till the end. Till the marriages are being performed you have every right to say no, so I don’t want you to get married now and later on create problems. Whatever it is, if you think I have done anything for you, or Sahaja Yoga has done for you, then please don’t trouble us by thinking about it later on that “We don’t want to marry, we Read More …

Debu Chaudhari Concert eve of Sahasrara Puja Campus, Cabella Ligure (Italy)

Debu Chaudhari Concert eve of Sahasrara Puja, Cabella, Italy, 1992-05-09 [2:33:43] We all have to thank our Sahaja yogi brother, brothers we should say, Debu Chaudhari and [UNCLEAR]. I’m very proud of them. [2:34:35] As you know that vibrations travel through music and today I felt the ecstasy of enjoyment, you all were enjoying it so much. It’s a blessing that you are all realised souls, no doubt but it’s a greater blessing that music is so close to the spirit and that it acts in such a beautiful manner that though I mean some of you do not know Indian music, some of you know a few ragas some of them – you know very well. But the way, even enjoying the whole thing, completely rapport. It’s nothing but a spiritual flow of beautiful river of roads. Sometimes it used to be a very silent, simple stream then it would become like a big waterfall then suddenly it would explode then again it would smooth down. Sometimes on the tabla, sometimes on the sitar. I was just watching the flow of the beauty of these ragas especially the [UNCLEAR raga name] which you all appreciate very much. Has a great depth in it and it was played in the courts of great kings, long time back. But the beauty of this has to [be] understood because so many times who have understood that [UNCLEAR raga name] raga is very entertaining, is elevating and also makes you feel very majestic. Evening Program, Eve of Diwali Puja, Debu Chaudhuri Concert Montecatini Terme (Italy)

Musical evening Program, Pandit Debu Chaudhuri, sitar player, Eve of Diwali Puja, 1989 [Audio 1 and 2:] It was astounding the way, today, Debuji [Debu Chaudhuri] played so well. Every time you hear him, there is such a variety and such a deep understanding of the principle of music. And the principle of music is that it should entertain the Spirit. You, being Sahaja Yogis, and most of you have never learnt any Indian music as such, like me; but it’s a fact that Indian music comes from Omkar, from the Divine source of sound. And that’s why that comforts, entertains, amuses the Spirit. Otherwise the Spirit is so self-satisfied by itself, it enjoys itself. But with music and art, I feel it gets its reflection to see, reflects its own beautiful existence, which is permeating into every little particle, into every molecule, into every atom. And that reflection when the Spirit sees, it has that new dimension of a beautiful expansion of its personality, and as if you feel you are resounding in the whole universe. Is the beauty of Indian music is this. But especially with Debu, I’m very grateful to him that he has come here with his son Prateek, whom I’ve seen as a little boy. And it’s so heartening to see he has taken this art so seriously. Normally these days, young boys do not take to art much. And that he should learn from his father, that’s even a greater thing – that we Read More …

Talk: Being Bandhamukta – A free personality and Evening Program Ganapatipule (India)

Ganapatipule Seminar, India Tour. Ganapatipule (India), 5 January 1988. From yesterday’s programme, and all these days, you must have realised that to get your Kundalini working out, to get Her rush towards the Sahasrara and to widen your Sushumna Nadi it is not necessary that you should sit for meditation for three to five hours. Of course, you must meditate for a short time because that is at a point where you are alone, one with your God. But otherwise in the collective, when you merge into it, then the Kundalini rises the same way. It’s a very discreet way of understanding what happens. In the collective when you are, you compensate each other, complement each other, and a subtler side of the cosmos starts manifesting in you. Then if you could really merge there’s a word ’emerge’ in Sanskrit language or in Marathi language is very good is ‘ramamaana’. I don’t think “merging with joy” but there is no ‘with’ you see, merging into joy. So if you can merge into the joy of anything that is sahaj you can become a meditative personality, you can achieve that meditative mood within yourself. With that mood, with that force, new subtler dimensions start breaking out within you. Your different kind of conditionings which are like shackles, binding you down, just open out and you become a free person – bandhamukta. With that force everything breaks: your ego breaks, your conditioning breaks and you become one with the joy of life, Read More …

Public Program Day 5, Sahasrar, Atma New Delhi (India)

ATMA – DAY 5 DELHI 16.2.1985 I bow to all the  seekers of truth.   Today’s melodious music program is very much associated with today’s topic for which I thank Debu Choudhury.  All the arrangements happen spontaneously and in today’s music the play of 12 sounds you witnessed, that same beautiful music can be created inside us.  The eight chakras of Kundalini you are seeing here, which is Mooladhara  Chakra, Mooladhara, Swadishthan, Nabhi, Heart, Vishuddhi, Agnya and Sahasrara.  Apart from this, there are Sun and Moon  Chakras also inside us.  Like this there are three more chakras which start working after the piercing of fontanelle bone area, which we call Ardha Bindu, Bindu and Valay.  All these are vowels (sounds) inside us.  Like if we start from Sa, then seven vowels, Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni, Ni ends in Sahasrara.  Like this, there are planets also which give energy to these chakras.  For example, in Mooladhara  Mars, Swadishthan Mercury, in Nabhi Jupiter, in Heart Chakra Venus, in Vishuddhi Saturn, in Agnya Sun and in Sahasrara Moon (Monday), which is Shiva’s or Devi’s,  Adishakti’s abode.  Like this, our nine planets also reside in these chakras.  It means whatever OMKAR is manifested from Shri Ganesh, all these  integrate completely in one Sound and one rhythm for music which God has created inside us.  To penetrate this only Kundalini starts working.  When Kundalini starts rising and penetrates all these chakras and reaches the Fontanelle bone area,  from its ascent, lot of Read More …

Evening Program eve of Diwali Puja: Pt Debu Chaudhary (Sitar) and Talk to Sahaja Yogis: Money, Sleep, Bhoots, Lethargy Surbiton Ashram, Surbiton (England)

Talk in ashram, Bonfire Night with Mother at Diwali. Surbiton (UK), 5 November 1983. I’ve had a very hectic, strenuous journey through America and it was much beyond my expectation, it worked out very well and I am very happy about it. All the Americans are very thankful to the Sahaja Yogis of England and other countries who have contributed to this tour and specially to people who travelled across and went around and helped them to organize. So they have been extremely grateful I tell you, but for you people it would not have been possible. It was a very strenuous journey no doubt, and strenuous tour and everything was bit too much after the tour of Europe. But the way people went from here and you helped them and you sent money, there was much less strain on them and they could manage it very well and as you know we have done very well as far as our sowing the seed of Sahaja Yoga is concerned. So the seed of Sahaja Yoga I think is now sown and it may take a big flight I am sure because Americans have I know they are very, people who are uprooted type and quite shallow people and one can say that also that they go on changing their gurus every third day and their cars every fourth day and their wives fifth day. But they have changed so many of them that it is easier to bring them round Read More …

Spirit is the only thing that is at the centre New Delhi (India)

Public Program, New Delhi, March 28th, 1983 English Transcript [Talk on video starts at 56:47] I bow to all the seekers of truth. At the very outset, I would like to thank referred Dr Nagen Singh Ji, who has been so kind to grace this occasion. Actually, I have always treated him like my ‘jyeshtha’, my ‘jaith’ (older brother-in-law). I find it difficult even how to express my gratitude the way he has been kind to get this time, come over and talk to you about me whom he has known for so many years. The day I knew him, I knew that he was a very great soul but as in the bureaucracy he is, you are not supposed to discuss religion, neither you are supposed to discuss anything that lies beyond your job. But when I was studying very minutely the various permutations and combinations of human problems, I was really always very much encouraged to know that there are people like him also. His greatness, you will know very soon and his sister, about whom he was saying, herself is a very great soul and the night I spent with her, I was really so much enamoured and encouraged to see such a learned personality. Like her brother, she knew so many beautiful things about God and beautiful things she said from Raghuvansha an Kalidasa. I found myself very lonely always where I could not talk of God and His greatness and His kindness for human beings, Read More …

Public Program and Debu Chaudhuri plays raag Kambhoji on sitar New Delhi (India)

Debu Chaudhuri plays raag Kambhoji on sitar, in the presence of Shri Mataji in a public program in Delhi, Feb 8th 1983, (part 2)Followed by a Hindi talk given by Shri Mataji. The sitar represents the Sahasrara chakra. Sahaja Yogis want to give a cushion to Shri Mataji but She refuses. Then they want to garland Her and She asks them instead to garland the artist.Everybody applauds. But Debu Chaudhuri refuses to be garlanded in place of Shri Mataji so he puts the garland around the head of his student (who is playing tempura). Everybody laughs.A senior Sahaja Yogi makes a small speech: My dear brothers and sisters, music is the nearest thing to God on earth. Mataji has often said the way to please God and His devotees is through music sound of devotion…He introduces the tabla player, an equally renowned artist.Shri Mataji seems to explain to Debu Chaudhuri that it is not a puja but a spiritual event. Shri Mataji: Now, I must say, that artist himself being a Realized soul, I’m just working on your Kundalini, I need not speak much. It’s working out. So don’t get impatient, this is also, is a silent speech of God’s music. So you just don’t get impatient about it.I’am also enjoying very much.May God bless you.Since Kambhoji, he’s going to play just now. Debu Chaudhuri: Well, it is my great pleasure, in a way, I requested Mataji to give Her blessings to all of you, instead of playing. [Shri Mataji is laughing.] Read More …
