New Year’s Eve Puja P K Salve Kala Pratishthan - Vaitarna Music Academy, Tembha (India)

New Year’s Eve Puja. Music Academy of Vaitarna, Bombay (India), 31 December 2002. I am very, very happy to see so many of you coming down here for the program. Actually I bought this land at least at least twenty-five years back and couldn’t do any thing about it, as they had lots of objections this and that. But then somehow I planned the whole thing & it all worked out. Happy to see you all here that with all those difficulties, ultimately now you find so many Sahaja Yogis attending this program of My Puja. I must remember My brother Baba who has worked very hard for the propagation of Indian music, classical music, all types of art, whatever he could do. It is a very sad thing that today he is not here to see you all. He has done so much work relentlessly without expecting any reward whatsoever. And I wish you could have him as your ideal and that’ll work it out everything, in that way. There is one thing about him I know – he never tried to show off anything. Very intelligent, educated man but he caught hold of all the people of ordinary living and he looked after them & he promoted their skill of music and art. With the same idea, I decided to have this place dedicated to his idea of propagating music & art. And I am happy to see, that, that idea has materialized. But I wish My brother Read More …

New Year’s Eve Puja: You Should Be Satisfied Within Kalwa (India)

New Year’s Eve Puja, Kalwa (India), 31 December 2001. (translation from Hindi) Today I got late and it is the power of your love which has brought Me here. Your Mother’s health is little disturbed and the desire is very strong and things are working out because of that. I want that your power of desire should get stronger, too. You should think for yourself what you have done in this regard. You should introspect and see that what hard work have you done for it. You meditate.… You should bring depth in your meditation. You should think that you are a saint and see what you should do. Mother has made you a saint and now what should you do?You have to make yourself all right. No doubt, you should make yourself all right, but after that when it is done, then what do you do? You go in collectivity. You go into programs and it is limited to that. What have you done further? You have got this blessing through your spirit. Spirit has given you second birth, so you should see further now what are you doing? How are you progressing or are you are using it only for yourself and for your children? It is very important because I have seen that even after getting Self Realization, people have short-comings. They are not completely cleansed. If you don’t get one together with the others and work for Sahaj Yoga, then you will never come to know Read More …

New Year’s eve Puja: Indian Culture Kalwa (India)

New Year’s eve Puja (English part). Kalwa (India), 31 December 1998. Firstly I will speak in English language as we have many Sahaja Yogis from abroad. They have asked me to talk about Indian culture today because Bombay is the place where Indian culture is disappearing, that’s what they say. But I don’t think so, because the roots are so deep that we cannot give up that culture so fast. Now as it is for the people who are coming from other countries, they have to realize that this country had no religion as such, because there was not one book, they didn’t follow one person, they didn’t have any organizations as we have for other religions, we never had a higher priesthood or all those appointed people, it was all done very spontaneously. The whole thing worked out very spontaneously. But behind all that was, as I told you before, the attitude of Indians or our style was, not to challenge or to question what these great saints have given us. Because we accepted their status as saints, as higher personalities in a way – in a sense they were higher than us. So we didn’t want to challenge them, and whatever they said we accepted. As a result that became sort of, you can call it, a way of conduct or way of life. But as a religion we had nothing, except that later on the caste system developed. Before that there was no caste system because non-Brahmins Read More …

New Year Puja: Krita Yuga Has Started Kalwa (India)

New Year Puja, Kalwa (India),  January 1st, 1991 Translation from Hindi Today we are going to perform a Puja in a place close to Bombay. The name of Bombay used to be Mumbai. This name is made of three words: Mum, Amba, and Aayee. In Maharashtriyan or Marathi language we address Mother as Aayee. Even in the Vedas, Adi Shakti is referred to as Ee. So, the reflection of Adi Shakti is Aayee. That is why Mother is called as Aayee. Also, in many places, she is also called as “Ma”, Therefore the first sound has come from the word “mum”. And Amba, as you all know, is verily the Kundalini. So this Trigunatmika is three words. And in Mumbai also, you know that, there is a beautiful temple of all the three Shaktis, Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswati, Mahakali, from where these three Devis have emerged from Mother Earth. Although, a lot of illicit activities are done by people here, but still these three Devis are in an awakened state here. So, especially the people of Mumbai, should understand that these three Devis” swayambhu have not manifested together anywhere else; As you already know in Mahurgadh there is Mahasaraswati; And in Tuljapur there is Bhavani (Shri Mahakali), and in Kolhapur there is Mahalakshmi. And in Wani is the half syllable (Ardhmatra), whom we call as Adi Shakti. But here, all the three Murtis (swayambhu) are awakened. But where there is the most hard work done, and where the divine work is done Read More …

Shri Mahalakshmi Puja: A temperament of a peaceful personality Sangli (India)

Shri Mahalakshmi Puja Date 31st December 1986: Place Sangli Puja Type [Marathi to English translation] Sahaja Yoga is spreading slowly in Sangli district. But the thing that spreads slowly gets established firmly. And any live process takes place slowly. Hence we should not expect that it will suddenly grow on large scale. If we need to produce plastic flowers then a machine is sufficient for that. But to create live flowers, it takes time. It needs to be cultivated, effort has to be taken. Many people still do not have any idea about Sahaja Yoga. And those who know have only misconceptions. We have many cults, sects which are already active since long time. But we have not benefitted from these cults and sects.  “We have been going to Pandhari (Pandharpur) for so many days, have been worshipping Tuljapur’s Bhavani for so many days, have been visiting Mahalakshmi temple at Kolhapur. We did everything that is possible. Performed fasts and religious ceremonies. Despite doing all this Mataji, we did not get anything.” On the top of it, after growing up your children will ask you – you have spent so much time, spent money, took efforts and at end you did not gain anything. Means there is no God. If you wish to go to Sangli then take a road leading to Sangli. If you take opposite route then you will not reach Sangli. So after so many years, you did not reach Sangli. It means that you were walking Read More …

Shri Mahalakshmi Puja: Mahalakshmi tattva Kolhapur (India)

Shri Mahalakshmi puja. Kolhapur (India), 1 January 1983. [Starts at 5:55] Today again is a new year’s day, every new year comes, because we have to take to something that is new. It has been so arranged that the sun has to move for 365 days and again a new year has to come. Actually the whole solar system is moving in a spiral way. So, there is definitely a higher, higher state of this solar system. Every year it is rising higher in a spiral way. So it is not only that it is because 365 days have passed, but because it has moved a step forward higher than what it was. Now, we can see that in awareness, human beings have definitely risen much higher than what they were, say, about 2000 years back. But the first system that started, the whole universe, was the first model, we can say, was created. And that model has to be perfect and that was a perfect model which then started perfecting the rest of it. So, that is the perfect model which is in the principle of this ascent and that is working out this ascent. Now the perfection of the rest of the universe takes place in various directions but today we have to consider the Mahalakshmi Principle. Now Mahalakshmi, as I told you, is a perfect principle, is a perfect principle, it’s perfected. It is born as perfect, will remain as perfect. It will be always eternally perfect Read More …

New Year’s Eve Chelsham Road Ashram, London (England)

New Year’s Eve. Chelsham Road Ashram, London (UK), 31 December 1981. So the New Year is coming, ’82’, expected to be a very dynamic year for Sahaja Yoga and Sahaja Yogis. Everything new becomes stale and never becomes new again, so whatever has gone has gone – ‘let bygones, be bygones’ [forget the past]. There have been very sweet memories sometimes, sometimes rather unhappy also but, on the whole, we are growing, all of us are realizing, coming up. We’ve done a good job of building up ourselves into a new way. New Sahaja Yogis have come up, I think, now, who have got rid of their lethargy and their petty-mindedness, their jealousies, their slyness, their slumber and narrow-mindedness. All these things have to be buried in the past. They are of no use to us. It’s a load we carry for nothing at all. Today, it happens that I read a very nice letter which was lying with Me which I didn’t read, which was sent by Gregoire to Warren. It really touched my heart. He was concerned about the jealousies that people suffer and the way he said there that this jealousy is the most sticky stuff and most ugly thing and it comes up as something as a challenge to your love, challenge to your understanding or something like that, and then he started explaining it. This explanation is all rational. In Sahaja Yoga there is nothing like jealousy. It doesn’t exist. It doesn’t exist in the Read More …
