Guru Nanaka Jayanti Noida (India)

Guru Nanaka Jayanti, Noida residence, India, 13/11/2008 They didn’t talk of Kundalini, that is the only trouble. And they all, that time they were all fighting. Because of that fighting nature nobody had the patience to tell them: “Baba! You don’t fight now, it’s a bouddism [unsure].” Because when there is fight going on, you can’t talk to them! But with Sahaj Yoga [cut in the video]And there was no fighting.Sahaj Yoga is given you a complete freedom but as Sahaja is a complete-Shri Mataji [to a girl]: Darling?Girl: Surein? Surein is not coming.Shri Mataji: Come here [inaudible. Hindi]Baba [Hindi] Ha.Girl: Surein?Shri Mataji: [Speaks in Hindi] Shri Mataji: There have been very great gurus.Girl: Yes.Shri Mataji: Very great. But that time, everybody was quarelling. Nobody was listening and they were all fighting. [Hindi]So they never talked about basic, is the Kundalini. This is the trouble. And then, above all this, they were not friendly with each other. This is the problem, that’s why they faught. And now, they didn’t talk of Kundalini and Self-realization. They were all very eminent, but because of this gap, the problem became wider and wider. None of them talked of Kundalini, can you imagine? They said it is- some mentionned about it in Sanscrit language, but have not seen everything. So they all knew the same thing but they didn’t say. So, so many got separated. And there was a big rift within each other. Because the truth was, there is a Kundalini. And this was not Read More …

Diwali Puja, 1st Day, Dhanteras New Delhi (India)

Diwali Puja, 1st Day, Dhanteras [English Translation from Hindi] It is wonderful that we have awakened our powers that had already settled down there and we are lost in our own thoughts. But we have a lot of powers within us and all these powers have been bestowed on us by God. All of say, “God, God,” and everybody knows that He is everywhere, resides everywhere, and witnesses everything. And He witnesses everything we do with great love. Now you have come into His Kingdom. I have to tell you that I felt overjoyed to know that for the past many years, Sahaj Yoga has gained in speed remarkably. It means that people of Delhi have tremendous faith and are very social as well. I have been to so many other places where we had so much publicity, but I can’t say that everywhere people have transformed as much. You have to understand Sahaj Yoga fully and then you will have full authority over its blessings. If you recognise Sahaj, Sahaj will recognise you. It knows you and your status and what should be given to you. Now I am going to tell you that I came to Delhi a long ago and thought that Sahaj Yoga would establish very well in Delhi. The reason was that the government was shifted here from Calcutta. What was Sahaj was that all the government servants came here, and the government has started functioning here. This arrangement was to make you collective, and Read More …

Makar Sankranti Puja House in Pratishthan, Pune (India)

Makar Sankranti, translated from Hindi, Pratishtan, (India), 2008. Today is Sankranti. Sankranti means that today something new is going to happen. Kundalini has awakened within you, and you have become a new person compared with what you were before. But on the day of Sankranti, you should know that you have to please the Goddess who is sitting within you. What should you do to make Her happy? You distribute sesame seeds and jaggery. That is for love. To increase the love between each other, we give sesame seeds and jaggery. Today the Sun has left its place and in its northward movement has come towards us. At this moment we should be very thankful to the Sun. It is by the grace of the Sun that so many things take place in our country. We have to do namaskar to the Sun today, and His power and His knowledge should come to us. All of you have become realized, and vibrations are flowing through you. Now you should make use of these vibrations, establish the shakti within you, establish the peace within you and show the world that this power is within us and we have to acquire it. We have to nurture this and improve it with your good qualities and truthful speech. Today is a very special day because the Sun is particularly benevolent towards us on this day, and we should thank Him for all this. You have received a lot. There is more to come, Read More …

Talk and Quawalli of the Evening, Eve of Diwali Noida (India)

Talk of the Evening Eve of Diwali. Noida (India), 10 November 2007. (Translation from Hindi) Happy Diwali. I wish you all a very happy Diwali. You have seen these different types of dances; understand one thing from them, that whoever has written it or said it, they are all saying the same thing. The greatest thing that they said was that the Paramatma is One. They had incarnated in different forms, avatars, but the Paramatma is One. There were no disputes amongst them. They came in this world for the destruction of evil and killing the wicked people; and this is happening. I am seeing everywhere that these evil people are getting exposed, and now it is your duty, too, to see that all those who are evil, those who are working against the Paramatma and who are ready to do anything for the sake of earning money, all go to Hell. We do not know how many Hells there are! The place where you are all sitting now is very far away from Hell. There is no relation with Hell at all. But even staying here, if you perform unreligious deeds, do wrong things, then you, too, can go to Hell. There are many types of Hells, and the arrangements to go there are also very nicely done, because those who are going there do not even know where they are going. Those who remain behind go to Heaven. Nobody on this earthly abode even knows that they may go to Hell. Doing wrong deeds Read More …

Makar Sankranti Puja: In place of anger, there should be forgiveness House in Pratishthan, Pune (India)

Makar Sankranti Puja, translation from Hindi Today is considered to be very important in the Northern part of the earth because the Sun comes from South to the North. This happens on the same day every year. So if we try to see why every year the Sun does the same work, we consider it so important, why we are so happy that the sun comes in the North every year. The thing is that only from the Sun all our work is done. When it is dark and during the night, we are in the sleeping state. But when the sun rises, only after that all our works are carried out. So the thing that affects all the work is the Sun and when it comes to our vicinity, we give it a lot of importance. The biggest thing is that all other festivals are celebrated on the basis of the Moon, but only this festival is celebrated considering the Sun. Also, the people here believe in Surya Narayana and do many rituals on the river Ganges for Surya Narayana, i.e, the Sun. But this is the most important day. So now we have to decide what we shall do on this day, what work to do on this special day. We did Namaskar to the Sun, offered water (arghya) to the Sun and showed all our gratitude towards the Sun. But still what special thing can we do.. especially what Sahaja Yogis can do. Firstly, it is very Read More …

Mahashivaratri Puja: Guru Pad Pune (India)

Mahashivaratri Puja, Pune (India), 15 February 2004  [English to Hindi Translation] Today we are here to do the Guru’s puja The Guru is praised more than the Deities and the Gods Who is this Guru? In this, which is the most important shakti? The Guru tattwa is the Shiva. The form of the Shiva’s power we should consider as the Guru’s power. Because when we take the powers from the Guru’s shakti, and when the shaktis come within us then we ourselves become the Guru And with this, we are blessed for the whole life (Kalyan). The one who gets these powers, it seems he has got all the blessings (kalyan). “Kalyan” is a word which is very hard to explain in a few words. “Kalyan” means to get blessed from all the sides. the obtain joy from all the sides. When someone says that in the blessings you have got the Kalyan, what does it mean? What is Kalyan? Kalyan means Atma Sakshatkar, the Self-Realisation. Without the Self-Realisation, you cannot have the Kalyan. Nobody can understand without having it. All these things are in the Kalyan. Because of this a person gets all the joy, and he becomes radiant. To have this Kalyan, whatever you have to do you have done it all, whatever efforts you have to make it has all been made, the faith which you have to take, you have already taken it. But when you are all in the “Kalyanmarg” (Path of Kalyan), when he Read More …

Christmas Puja Ganapatipule (India)

Christmas Puja, Ganapatipule (India), 25 December 2003. Today is a great day because we are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. He was such a great spiritual personality, who had to suffer on the cross. This is what many people don’t understand, that why a man of his calibre, of his standing, of his spirituality, should have to go through so many ordeals in life. It is very easy to understand that he was born in a circumstances which was against him, which were against divine force. So to overcome that people tried to destroy Jesus Christ. And he did not feel the pain, he didn’t feel the absurdity of those people. On the contrary he went through all that ordeal with such courage and such dignity. So for us, what is there to see is that if you are divine and if you have powers of divinity, then you should have courage, and with that courage you can face all kinds of ordeals. On the whole, whenever you are on this earth there are problems of different types. You may belong to royal families, or maybe a poor person, there are always problems facing you. But Christ has shown by his life that, though he had to suffer so much, he was so patient and courageous. His life has given us an example, what we should be, how we should behave when we are facing problems because of ignorance of people. But today is a happy day because it Read More …

Shri Krishna Puja: Look Inside Pune (India)

Shri Krishna Puja (Hindi). Pune (India), 9 August 2003. [Translation from Hindi to English] Now we have to realize that Sahaja Yoga has spread a lot and in all corners of the world people respect Sahaja Yoga, but until and unless Sahaja Yoga is completely manifested within us, the people who respect Sahaja Yoga will not continue to do so. That is why it is essential that we look inside of us. The nature of Shri Krishna is that we look inside of us and see what are the things that put us in trouble. We should find that out. We should look towards ourselves, within ourselves and that is not such a difficult thing. When we want to see our face, we look in the mirror. Similarly, when we need to see our spirit, we should find out how to see it within us. Many Sahaja Yogis have asked Me, “Mother, how do we see what is within us and how we are doing?.” For that it is necessary that we ourselves should become very humble. If we lack humility, we will be clouded by our own thoughts. So in the life of Shri Krishna, first it was shown that he was just like a small child. Absolutely like an infant. Not knowing anything. He did not think anything of himself. He had his mother and he wanted to grow with the support of his mother. We should also look inside of ourselves and realize that we are like a Read More …

Inauguration Of Vishwa Nirmal Prem Ashram Noida (India)

Inauguration (from Hindi). Noida, Uttar Pradesh (India), 27 March 2003. You must allow me today to speak in Hindi Language. In our country there are many problems. One of the biggest problems is that here men and women are seen from different angles or different points of view. I don’t know how this happened because it is not written so in our Shastras (Holy Books). It is written in the Shastras that “Yatra pujyante nari” (Sanskrit) meaning that where women are worshipped, “Tatra ramante devata” : there reside the Gods. So I do not know how it is that in our country such a situation has culminated where there is no respect toward women, especially here in U.P.(Uttar Pradesh). I was married in UP and I was surprised to see that in UP housewives do not have any status. There is no difference between them and the domestic servants. How this happened and why is this still happening?? – Because the people are not awakened toward this. Sometimes I feel like crying seeing how they have taken advantage of women. They have thrown them out of home, without any reason ! Just like that, thrown out of house!! And I have had so many experiences in my life which deeply aggrieved me. I did not understand why they are maltreating women? And there are no arrangements to house them! And when they are thrown out of their house there is nobody to take care of them. Poor women!, they were Read More …

Birthday Puja: A very big challenge Nirmal Dham, New Delhi (India)

Birthday Puja, Nirmal Dham, Delhi (India), 21 March 2003. (Hindi/English) (Translated from Hindi) Eternal blessings from Me to all the Sahaja Yogis. You all have gathered here today, in such a large number, to celebrate My birthday. How should I thank you? I just don’t understand. So many people have come from other countries also. And even from our country, so many people have gathered here. Seeing all this, My heart fills with joy. I don’t know what extraordinary task I have done that you all have gathered here to celebrate My birthday. You all have a very big heart that today you all have come to this far off place and have honoured Me. I don’t have words to tell you people how overjoyed this has made Me. (English speech) What I was telling them, the way you are celebrating My birthday, I’m overjoyed and I don’t know how to express that joy which is really overflowing. I really don’t know what have I done for you that you have come up with such enthusiasm, with such love. It’s your great heart which is appreciating My humble work. All over the world, Sahaja Yoga has spread and again spreading like fire. That showed it was the need of the world. It was the need of the people. That’s why they have taken to Sahaj Yog with such enthusiasm. I could understand in a country like India, where they have talked about Self Realization, but in a country which is Read More …

TV Interview Noida (India)

TV Interview (Hindi), Noida (India), 14 March 2003. Ques. The question is what is the main source of human ascent and well being? Shri Krishna has said ‘Yogakshema Vahamayam’ meaning the well being of human being is in achieving Yoga with the God Almighty. But with the technical advancement our new generation is going away from spiritualism. Shri Mataji:Yes, it’s correct that with the interest in technology, the interest in spiritualism could go down. But I am seeing that more and more people of technologically advanced countries are being drawn towards spiritualism because there is neither joy nor peace in technology. It does not give a solution to human problems. Therefore, those who have come into Sahaja Yoga belong to the technically advanced countries, besides from our own country, and they are very deep. These people from the advanced countries have gone beyond technology and they have derived conclusions that there is nothing special in technology. Their bent and seeking is extremely deep. It’s very easy (sahaja). All our gurus have said to search within. Nothing could be achieved without knowing the power within. The problem is that the people of our country talk about it, sing its songs, but do nothing practical. The people of developed countries know nothing about spiritualism, so they are keen seekers. Their seeking is so intense that in a country like Russia, where I thought spiritualism could not take up, there is a larger number of spiritual people. They are really wonderful because so many atrocities were Read More …

Shivaratri Puja House in Pratishthan, Pune (India)

Shivaratri Puja, Pune, India 28-02-2003 [English translation from Hindi] His biggest Quality is forgiveness. If he doesn’t forgive, then nothing will be spared. He is very forgiving and because of his forgiving nature, we are surviving. ….Such Mahadev we should ask him such qualities as forgiveness, his nature, powers, characters and despite such qualities he is full forgiveness, he takes into consideration that we are humans and he forgives. We should learn that. We cling to small petty things and fight. This is not Mahadev’s puja, if you follow him then forgive everyone. Everyone one has some faults instead of looking at their faults look at your own. There was time when there were many forgiving people but now don’t know people get angry easily and are non-forgiving and they are not ashamed of it. But if you worship Shiv and take him as your Guru then you have to be forgiving. He has such powers that he can destroy anyone yet he so forgiving. Many people worship him to seek forgiveness “ Oh! God Forgive us” but he is all-forgiving. His forgiveness has magnanimity. Those who cannot forgive cannot be Sahaj yogis. The proof of a Sahaj Yogi is in forgiveness from inside from heart, he does not calculate what wrong has been done to him. Forgiveness is like ocean and to take that ocean inside oneself then only Mahadev will be established inside us. But I see that we get angry first not forgiveness. If you do not know Read More …

New Year’s Eve Puja P K Salve Kala Pratishthan - Vaitarna Music Academy, Tembha (India)

New Year’s Eve Puja. Music Academy of Vaitarna, Bombay (India), 31 December 2002. I am very, very happy to see so many of you coming down here for the program. Actually I bought this land at least at least twenty-five years back and couldn’t do any thing about it, as they had lots of objections this and that. But then somehow I planned the whole thing & it all worked out. Happy to see you all here that with all those difficulties, ultimately now you find so many Sahaja Yogis attending this program of My Puja. I must remember My brother Baba who has worked very hard for the propagation of Indian music, classical music, all types of art, whatever he could do. It is a very sad thing that today he is not here to see you all. He has done so much work relentlessly without expecting any reward whatsoever. And I wish you could have him as your ideal and that’ll work it out everything, in that way. There is one thing about him I know – he never tried to show off anything. Very intelligent, educated man but he caught hold of all the people of ordinary living and he looked after them & he promoted their skill of music and art. With the same idea, I decided to have this place dedicated to his idea of propagating music & art. And I am happy to see, that, that idea has materialized. But I wish My brother Read More …

Holi Celebrations Palam Vihar, Gurgaon (India)

Holi Celebrations, Palam Vihar, Gurgaon, Delhi, India, 29 March 2002. (translated from hindi) Holi was started during the time of Shri Krishna. Before Him in the time of Shri Rama …. He was very austere. Because of that the society became very peaceful but people were devoid of all joy. So He thought that there should be a way by which people should be able to laugh freely and be joyful. And like it happens to all such ventures it happened in the case of Holi also that it produced an opposite effect. They started playing Holi in a very wrong way. It brought a very bad name to this festival. And it deteriorated to such an extent that I said, I will never play Holi now. The story of how it started is like this. There was a demo ness called Holika. She was the sister of Prahlad and Prahlad’s father used to trouble him a lot. Holika had a boon that she would not be burnt by the fire. Prahlad’s father wanted to kill him and told Holika to take the child (Prahlad) and sit on the burning pyre thinking that she would not die. But it is surprising that she died and Prahlad was not hurt in the fire and came out of it unscathed. This is a very big happening which demonstrated that it is very wrong to be cruel and aggressive. She had the boon but still she got burnt. That’s why we have this Read More …

Love is the potential power in us Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi (India)

Public Program. New Delhi (India) 24 March 2002. Translation from Hindi to English I pay my respect to the seekers of truth who have gathered here today. What is basically lacking everywhere is the Love. All persons take it as a mere word or expression. Love basically is the potential power within us. We do experience or feels it when we look at our Mother. What I am trying to say is that it is the Spirit enlightenment with in oneself. There is no discretion. It doesn’t distinguish or is discrete between any animals or human. I sometime feel animals better understand the love. In fact the element of hatred should completely be finished from the human. Love is an ocean within and you find their tide within us. It is basically the power within us. By speaking of power one immediately takes it as something destructive state (Pralaya) but in fact it give us the inner peace. It is latent inside. It is covered inside. It is the power of love within ourselves that cleanse us and brings happiness and joy with in. If we see….. We have enemies residing within ourselves in the form of Rakshasa, eession and pleasure like consumption of liquor or spending on women. This money always goes into spending in sinful lifestyle. But at times by giving it to others you can get so much joy.Next I find persons run after power and position. Why after power and position? One feels everyone should salute Read More …

New Year’s Eve Puja: You Should Be Satisfied Within Kalwa (India)

New Year’s Eve Puja, Kalwa (India), 31 December 2001. (translation from Hindi) Today I got late and it is the power of your love which has brought Me here. Your Mother’s health is little disturbed and the desire is very strong and things are working out because of that. I want that your power of desire should get stronger, too. You should think for yourself what you have done in this regard. You should introspect and see that what hard work have you done for it. You meditate.… You should bring depth in your meditation. You should think that you are a saint and see what you should do. Mother has made you a saint and now what should you do?You have to make yourself all right. No doubt, you should make yourself all right, but after that when it is done, then what do you do? You go in collectivity. You go into programs and it is limited to that. What have you done further? You have got this blessing through your spirit. Spirit has given you second birth, so you should see further now what are you doing? How are you progressing or are you are using it only for yourself and for your children? It is very important because I have seen that even after getting Self Realization, people have short-comings. They are not completely cleansed. If you don’t get one together with the others and work for Sahaj Yoga, then you will never come to know Read More …

Achieve spiritual knowledge of a saint Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi (India)

2001-0326  PP—JN STADIUM–DELHI [Translation from Hindi to English] My salutations to all who are seeking the truth, and also to seekers who have already found the truth. In Delhi sahaja Yoga has spread so elaborately. At one point of time, it was unbelievable that in Delhi even 4-5 people will become sahaja Yogis. At that time the environment of Delhi was such that people were running after power and business people were running after money. I used to think, when all these people will turn towards their spirit? But it was observed that, running after power was fruitless. The power remains only for a short time. Many people come to power, and many others lost their authority. Likewise, people who led their lives, only to earn money also faced similar situation. Because, when we try to go away from the reality, at the end  we get the proof that whatever we were running behind, is not the reality. And within fraction of seconds we lose our peace and joy. That is the reason, I find that in Delhi there is so much of awareness in people. This awakening or awareness is your own property. This rain of love is pouring from the pure Desire of your own heart. I don’t know what is my contribution in this. But it has to be understood that, if this is your knowledge was not existing within you, this kind of an awakening wouldn’t have been possible. We have to understand only one thing that Read More …

Miracle of Pure Desire and Kundalini Awakening New Delhi (India)

2001-0321 Public Program New Delhi (Hindi) [Translation from Hindi to English] Despite being [self-realized], people go up and down in Sahaja yoga. It’s not that once people get self-realization then they don’t have to do anything. After getting a realization, it depends upon the extent of their seeking and sincerity towards Sahaja yoga. If you are sincere then once the kundalini rises in you, you have a very beautiful experience and you go into thoughtless awareness very quickly. I was telling this to someone today that why human beings keep on thinking. Every moment and on everything humans keep on thinking. Suppose, this is a carpet. So now humans think, from where this was bought, what was the price, and other unnecessary thoughts. Instead of just admiring it about its beauty and appreciating the beautiful art. And sometimes because of the un-necessary thinking, humans can become mad as well. So reacting to each and everything you see it a big mistake. This is because the reactions come because of your ego or the conditionings which you have acquired. You are reacting because you are actually not ‘just observing’. If you just observe and not react, you will be able to appreciate the object properly. A lot of people have spoken about coming to such a state of being. It is not that I am the only one who has said this. But those people would have not known how to achieve that state or make it happen. Because they would Read More …

Christmas Puja Ganapatipule (India)

Christmas Puja, Ganapatipule (India), 25 December 2000 [Shri Mataji speaks first in Hindi for about sixteen minutes] [Scanned from Divine Cool Breeze – Translation from Hindi to English] The reason for celeberaling this auspicious day is the birth of the Christ. Very little is known about Jesus Christ because in young age he left his house and after returning he lived only up to the age of thirty year But dunng this short period he did tremendous work After his death, his twelve disciples spread Christianity. They also faced problems as you have to face sometimes But these twelve disciples did tremendous work. Their followers. In the beginning, were known as Gnostics, meaning ‘Those who have known’ The origin of this word is from ‘Gna’ meaning To Know’ These people were harassed and tortured by the priests of that time So in the beginning it was very difficult to convince people of Christ s thoughts People were not seif realised Jesus Christ had said it again and again ‘Know Thyself. ‘Know Thyself Without realising the significance of self realisation people started spreading the religion. Without knowing the Self, religion could not be spread because gradually such religion becomes Adharmas Same thing happened with Christian religion It is written that Jesus Chnst went to a wedding party There he put his finger in the water and converted it tn to wine It is written in Hebrew language thatthe taste of this water changed in to that of the wine. ‘Wine’ in Hebrew Read More …

Kundalini ki jagruti se Mumbai (India)

2000-0312  Public Program, Kundalini ki Jagruti se, (With Kundalini Awakening), Mumbai Translation from Hindi: I bow to all the seekers of truth.  First I will speak in Hindi, and after that in Marathi;  because it is our National language, and I feel that everyone should at least have some knowledge of Hindi.  Of course there is no language like Marathi. This I agree.  But the person who knows Marathi should find it easy to know Hindi.  It is a very easy language.  I have spoken to you many times about Kundalini, and I have explained that with the awakening of the Kundalini all the unwanted particles and fragments inside us, get removed.  The Six Enemies of the soul (Shadripus) inside us, like Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachments, Jealousy and Vanity – these shadripus are always troubling us.  This happens because whatever our brain sees, it always reacts to it.  Because of this reaction we feel inside our brain, that if we also do these things, we will get some advantage.  But these are our enemies, and if we adopt and encourage them, how can they be beneficial to us. But the society we are seeing in these times, especially in this country of India, anarchy has spread; such unrighteous people have sprung up, that they have not only destroyed themselves but are trying to destroy the country.  Such kind of people are there, especially in Mumbai, and people say there are a lot of villains and evildoers.  It is difficult to Read More …

Address to IAS Officers, Stress and Tension Management Y.B.Chavan Auditorium, Mumbai (India)

Address to IAS Officers, Mumbai (India), 11 March 2000. I bow to all the seekers of truth. That’s a very interesting subject that has been given to Me to talk to you people because I have been always worried about the IAS, IPS, and other Government servants, very much worried because I have known the kind of life My husband was leading. And I used to think: if these new people, who have come to the services, to the Government service, we have to tell them the dangers that are ahead of them. Because we don’t know what is the subtle system within us, which works. And in the subtle system, when we lead this kind of a very speedy, intensive life, it has a defect. It has a defect you can see in the chart. They have shown the, they have shown the subtle system which works it out. So, we have a center here on the crossing of the optic chiasma. These, this center is very important because we react with this. We react to everything. By this reaction we create a problem within ourselves. And this reaction comes to us because we do not know how to go beyond the mind. Every time we are looking at something, we react. We look at someone, we react. But we cannot just watch. We cannot be just the witness. If we could be the witness, it will not have any effect on us. But we cannot be. That’s the Read More …

Public Program Hindu Temple Burnaby, Burnaby (Canada)

Talk at the Hindu Temple (Hindi). Vancouver (Canada), 27 June 1999. Translation from Hindi: My salutations to the seekers of Truth. We go to the temples to see the God. And we want to achieve him. Not only that, we have several desires in our heart, which we think that god will fulfil. We go to Temples, for several reasons, thinking that the environment of that place will give us peace and satisfaction. It is true that all these things can happen, and that is the reason why temples have been constructed. But there is something beyond this which we should know and get. And the principles of this has been mentioned in our Hindu scriptures. But when we read something, we sometimes don’t understand the meaning hidden inside that. Today, it is good that you have invited me in the temple of Shri Krishna, because Shri Krishna has an important place. When we talk about the awakening of kundalini, Shri Krishna has a very Prominent role in that. Nothing can be accomplished without him. Inside us, his place is situated at the back, below the neck. That is his place. Now, if it is really there or not, whatever I am saying is true or not, you should have a proof for that. You should not believe this just because I am saying so. That is why, when we come to Sahaja Yoga, what happens is that, the devine energy situated inside our triangular bone, which we call as Read More …

Shri Hanumana Puja Pune (India)

Shri Hanuman puja. Pune [India], 31 March 1999. Today we are celebrating Jayanti [birth anniversary] of Hanumanji. What should we say about Hanumanji? He was so powerful and wise. He was equally devoted and dedicated. Generally such a powerful person becomes right-sided. He considers himself so dignified that he doesn’t give any importance to anyone in his comparison. But Hanumanji is a special deity. A special deity full of qualities that, as much strong He was, as much powerful He was, as much was His devotion. An embodiment of balanced strength, He had as much power as He had devotion. How did He maintain this balance? And was steady in it is worth understanding in Sahaja Yoga. When we are enlightened and in Sahaja Yoga, we get many powers simultaneously: we get balance, we love others. With love and with the help of the power of love, we get busy in our work and go on doing our work. In this way, Shri Hanumanji was very powerful. He had Divine powers; He had Navadha [special] powers, which are called Garima Laghuma. He could become as big as He wanted to be or as minute as He wanted to be and as small as an atom. All these powers He got through His devotion. It means that devotion and power are both the same. He who has power and doesn’t have devotion, becomes a rakshasa. [demon] And he who has devotion but doesn’t have power, becomes mad. Between both these, he Read More …

Gudi Padwa Noida (India)

Gudi Padwa puja, Noida, India, 18 March 1999 Translation from Hindi: Today is the Day of Gudi Padwa [The New Year’s Day of the Shalivahana shak]. And it is celebrated in Maharashtra mostly, but now in other places too. It is said that it is a very auspicious day. Whatever work is done on that day it is fruitful. But whatever is the reason is as per worldly beliefs. The other thing is that, in the dynasty of Shalivahana, there was one person: Babruvahan. He defeated the king Vikramaditya. After that, he started this new calendar called ‘Shalivahana Shak’. According to this calender, today is the first day [of the year].Its importance is major in Maharashtra. To represent the Shalivahanas, they take a Kumbha [and a stick] on which they put a shawl – he was Shalivahana. The Kumbha represents the Kundalini. They tie a shawl [to the stick] and keep a Kumbha on top of it. The meaning is that the Kumbha also represents spirituality. Spirituality is represented by the Kumbha. The Shalivahanas used to call themselves the seven vehicles. They had a lot of faith in Kundalini. Later, they started giving a shawl to the Devi. They were worshipers of the Devi so they called themselves the Shalivahanas. That is how the name got changed. The Shalivahanas who were there, came from Mewar. They were the rulers of Mewar from the Sisodia Dynasty. Their son, of Sisodia dynasty, for some reason, had a disagreement with his uncle. So, he ran Read More …

Awakening Of Kundalini Is Not A Ritual Shivaji Park, Mumbai (India)

1999-02-20 Public Program in Shivaji Park, Mumbai [translation from Hindi, Marathi] My Greetings to seekers of Truth. We don’t give any importance or attention to truth, what is the reason for that? Why we don’t like Truth and implement it. It’s not that only this, this World has become like that one eye is on wrong or false things. For that, I can say that this is the time of severe (grievous) Kaliyuga. Very bad Kaliyuga, I have seen unique people in my time, but today I see very Vikskipt (Assimilated) people, very spoiled people. Happily, they are spoiled one, no Body has forced them. Today the condition of the Country is because the human being is falling in their morality. For that Sadhu and Saints have done so much hard work in our Country, said so much and explained. Especially Indians are specialized in whatever Sadhu and Saints said they believe in it. They don’t ask any questions, in foreign it’s not like that, they start to use logic (Argument) and ask them. Indians have the specialty that whatever Sadhu and saints have said they would accept it without any dispute and follow it from small talk to big talk they will listen and accept it Because of this specialty today we have walked on the right path. But now what happened in this Bad Kaliyuga that human thinks that there is nothing like the truth. False is only everything. A Peron who is following false only grows higher, Read More …

Mahashivaratri Puja New Delhi (India)

1999-02-14 Mahashivaratri Puja Talk Hindi English, New Delhi, India, First, I ‘ll speak, in Hindi language and then in English language.  [English translation from Hindi] Today we, have assembled here to worship Shri Maha Deva, Shri Shiva Shankar. In the name of Shankar ji, many organizations have come up in this world. Because of Adi Shankaracharya’s emphasis, worshipping Shiv Ji is being done , by people in a big way. And in Southern India two types of sects have come up: one which is called as Shaivites, and the other are calles as Vaishnavites. Now Shaivites are the worshippers of Lord Shiva and the Vaishnavites, who worship Lord Vishnu. In our country we are expert in dividing ourselves. We divide Deities as well; and when we try to reunite them, then things take a very bad Shape. For example, a new matter has come up, by name Ayyappa. It is a very wrong thing. And in that it is shown that, when Lord Vishnu assumed the form of `Mohini’ then she got a child from Lord Shiva. Is it possible by any chance? Such nonsensical beliefs are generally spread in our country, And then different groups are formed on those beliefs. When Indians find some or other reason to fight, they become very happy. If they have nothing to fight over, then, they create something from their own imaginations. So these two things are connected with each other as, Sun is with sun light, word with its meaning, Moon with Read More …

New Year’s eve Puja: Indian Culture Kalwa (India)

New Year’s eve Puja (English part). Kalwa (India), 31 December 1998. Firstly I will speak in English language as we have many Sahaja Yogis from abroad. They have asked me to talk about Indian culture today because Bombay is the place where Indian culture is disappearing, that’s what they say. But I don’t think so, because the roots are so deep that we cannot give up that culture so fast. Now as it is for the people who are coming from other countries, they have to realize that this country had no religion as such, because there was not one book, they didn’t follow one person, they didn’t have any organizations as we have for other religions, we never had a higher priesthood or all those appointed people, it was all done very spontaneously. The whole thing worked out very spontaneously. But behind all that was, as I told you before, the attitude of Indians or our style was, not to challenge or to question what these great saints have given us. Because we accepted their status as saints, as higher personalities in a way – in a sense they were higher than us. So we didn’t want to challenge them, and whatever they said we accepted. As a result that became sort of, you can call it, a way of conduct or way of life. But as a religion we had nothing, except that later on the caste system developed. Before that there was no caste system because non-Brahmins Read More …

1998 -1217—Public Program DELHI  INDIA       Sahaji brother: On behalf of all the Sahaja yogi brothers and sisters, who have come to Sahaja Yoga Kendra, Delhi, we welcome Her Honorable Shri Adi Shakti Mataji. For your information, Shri Mataji’s schedule is busy, 12 months and 24 hours. Not only India, but in over 75 countries Shri Mataji’s work keeps happening continuously. From this busy schedule, Shri Mataji has taken out time for us Delhi people. So, I request all of you to take advantage of the golden opportunity. I request Honorable Shri Mataji to give all of us who are present here the precious knowledge of Sahaja Yoga. 1-st translation of Shri Mataji’s speech: Shri Mataji:  My salutations to all the seekers of truth. We are searching the truth but we should understand first where this truth is hiding and where exactly we should search for it. You must have noticed that thousands of foreigners from all over the world come here, and when asked the reason for their visit, they say that they have come here in search of truth. “There is no truth in our country, but thinking that there is truth in India, we have come here.” And in search of this truth thousands of people have been coming here for several thousand years. You must have heard in history that several people from China and many other countries came here. And somehow, they knew that the truth is hidden only in this country. And in search of Read More …

Expression of Subtle Elements New Delhi (India)

“Expression of Five Elements on a Sahaja Yogi”. Delhi (India), 16 December 1998. I have been telling them that the style of Indian knowledge is very different from the Western mind. In the West, you see, if you say something, then they want to have an experimental approval. They will go to the scientists or to other people who are equipped with knowledge to know what they said in these books is true or not. They will even judge Christ. They would even judge Moses. They would judge everybody as if they are the most intelligent and the most capable people. And they write books after books against them disclosing as if they are those people who have said something, have said out of their minds or something. It is never accepted normally and if it is accepted they become absolutely fanatics. So, now according to Indian style of understanding is that first of all if a great Rishi or great Muni or a great… you can call a saint has said something, then he has said it, while you have to just listen to that because you are not equally the same. Whatever he has said is his own experience, his own knowledge and you have no business to judge him or to say this is not true, that is not true. You accept it and once you get your self-realization, it is clearly written down after self-realization, you have to grow. Grow into perfect being and then you can Read More …

Birthday Puja: Be confident, don’t lose your confidence New Delhi (India)

Birthday Puja, Delhi (India), 21 March 1998. [English Transcript] I was overjoyed to see the way you had organized this beautiful welcome. I must say that it’s your love which finds all kind of expressions of enjoying Sahaja Yoga. I really can’t understand how these unique ideas come to your heads, and you represent the different countries from where you have come. I wish you carry these flags back to your own countries, and tell them the message that the time has come for our resurrection, that we have to rise. We have to rise above this human level to a higher level of existence. And if that happens, then how it changes your life, how it makes you happy, how you lose all your absurd ideas of hatred and of harming others, injuring others: all this kind of ideas which have worked out to give some sort of a sadistic pleasure to many people, and they have enjoyed the way they want to destroy the joy of others, the happiness of others. To maintain the happiness, I know, you being Sahaja Yogis, you have to bear a lot, tolerate a lot of nonsense. You have already done it, and gradually once Sahaja Yoga is established in your own countries as something that is so beautiful, so very pure, so very important that all others in your countries also will try to follow that path which you have crossed over. Only your lives are the ones which will reflect the Read More …

Adi Shakti Puja: Respect Your Wife Kalwa (India)

Shakti Puja. Kalwa (India), 31 December 1997. [Translation from Hindi to English] Today we have gathered to do Puja of the Shakti. Shakti means all the Shaktis and not any one special Shakti. All these Shaktis are situated on all our chakras and without these Shaktis no work of the Devtas can be carried out. Like you know that the Shakti of Krishna is Radha and Ram’s Shakti is Sita, Vishnu’s is Laxmi. So in the same way the abode of the Shaktis is with the devtas. The Devtas cannot do anything without the shakti. That sole shakti is situated in the center heart as Jagdamba. This Jagdamba shakti is very powerful. You know that She lives as a mother or a wife with the Devtas. Worship of the Shakti means that there will be a Puja of all the Shaktis of the Devtas. By these shaktis being spoiled our chakras get damaged and because of that all our physical, mental and emotional problems come about. That is why it is important to always keep these shaktis pleased. It is said that the Devi should be pleased. By the awakening of the Kundalini this shakti got another Shakti. There is a speciality in these shaktis, that they become one with that Omnipresent Shakti which is the Param Chaitanya,  the shakti of the Adi Shakti. Because of that oneness the shakti comes within.  All these little shaktis get integrated with the Shakti. For example if your heart shakti is weak, and when Read More …

Christmas Puja: You have to be loving, affectionate, kind and disciplined Ganapatipule (India)

Christmas Puja. Ganapatipule (India), 25 December 1997. Christmas Puja,Ganapatipule (India), 25.01.1997 [Translated from Hindi] Today, we are here to celebrate the birthday of Shri Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ’s life was very short and He spent most of His time in India, in Kashmir. He went back just for last three years and people fixed Him to a cross. It was somewhat destined. To open Agnya chakra He had to offer this sacrifice. So in this way He set up Agnya chakra. Agnya chakra is very constricted small and not easily openable because a human being got freedom that made him egoistic. This ego constricted his Agnya chakra. And from that constricted Agnya chakra it was necessary to take out ego And to take out ego you have to control your [MAAN – Mind]. But you do not take out your ego from your [MAAN] As soon as you will try to take out your ego from your [MAAN] the [MAAN] will go on increasing and the ego will go on increasing [ AHAAM KAROTI SAHA AHAMKAR ] We do ! It means that if we try to minimise our ego the ego will shoot up because we will try to do so with the help of ego only. Those who think that to our ego will suppress will eat less food worldwide violence one standing on one foot and some on their head Every type of experiment people do to destroy their ego But it does not supress the ego. Mahashivaratri Puja: eleven rudras New Delhi (India)

Shivaratri puja (Hindi Translation & English part) Delhi (India), March 16th, 1997 First of all I will speak in Hindi language, and then in English.  We have such a cosmopolitan people that I do not know which language to take to. Translation from Hindi Today we are going to do the Puja of Shri Shiva.  The form of Shiva within us, is verily the reflection of Sadashiva Himself.  This form of Shiva resides in the Heart, at all times, as the Spirit.  Is there, established, immovable and permanent.  But I will not say it is enlightened.  When the Kundalini is awakened, it touches the Spirit, and then the Shiva gets enlightened within us. And that light shines on our nerves. Chaitanya is called Medhe Stithi , means the first light shining in our brain.  For the first time, the union between our Heart and our Brain takes place.  The Yoga. Under normal circumstances, man’s Buddhi (intelligence) goes in one direction, and  Mann (mind) goes in another direction.  When this Yoga or union takes place, the light which has begun to shine inside the spirit, becomes manifest or apparent, and takes the form of Chaitanya, vibrations, and flows out of the hands and the fontanelle bone area on top of the head.  You have already experienced this. What you have to know further is, that when this light comes inside us, we realise that slowly, and steadily, our life begins to change, to transform.  Our inside anger and other Shadripus (6 enemies Read More …

Awakening of “DHARMA” (Religion) Varanasi (India)

1996-12-12 Public Program – Dharma Jagran, Varanasi, India (Hindi)Awakening of “DHARMA”(Religion) [Translation from Hindi to English] I bow to all the seekers of the truth. First of all, you should recognize the truth because the truth is immutable. We can not describe it, we cannot discuss it and until we experience it we can not understand it. Whatever I am going to tell you, you don’t need to take it fully or agree with it (God save from this blind faith). Due to Blind faith, there is a very bad situation nowadays. Very bad…It may happen that many times the mind gets delighted by faith but it does not achieve the truth from it and we can not get the peace of our heart. Those people who use to come to earn the merit (“Punya”) from Kashi (in Varanasi)were killed on the way. There were many dacoits and swindler who use to rob them… Despite this, there was a reverence (faith)to go to Varanasi. And by going there they had the faith that – ‘we will wash our sins and we will become saintly’. It may happen by the grace of Mahadeva (shiva) that they become a little bit saintly…But whatever is achieved is the mere sight (“Darshan Matr”)for eg- There is a very beautiful painting and in this painting, the painter has created a very beautiful creation of the world …Get overwhelmed by seeing her beauty…There he has created- beautiful trees, mountains, flowing river, flying birds, trees with different colours Read More …

Shri Raja Lakshmi Puja Talk: Don’t waste your time in fighting New Delhi (India)

Shri Raja Lakshmi Puja (Hindi). Delhi (India), 7 December 1996. [Translation from Hindi] Around the Delhi, Sahaja Yoga is growing very fast. Delhi is a capital, people are power and money oriented, but even if it is like this, still they are seeking their self-realization and it is very surprising. It is like a picture, in that birds are flying, flowers, the rain and so on. You are feeling happy to see the picture, but it is important to see what is in that. It is very subtle and to raise the subtle thinking is very important. We have not achieved the truth and we are lost in these mythical things. Externally, because at ego one is thinking that he is very smart, and the others are thinking that they have achieved everything in life, so why should they need Sahaja Yoga? So, this way there are two kinds of people, some which are lost in their ego and others which are surrendered to wrong things. They both will never reach the truth. Once I met a person and I told him that you don’t have to do anything special to get your self- realization and the person replied “How come it is possible?”. I mean, to get your self-realization you don’t have to do anything special, you will get it very easily. So don’t waste your time on the people who think that they will achieve it on themselves. But not all are like this, many will transform in Read More …

Arrival, Welcome Meeting Boryspil International Airport, Boryspil (Ukraine)

Welcome Meeting, Borispol Airport, Kyiv, Ukraine, July 21, 1996 You have so many now Sahaja Yogis, ah? (The interpreter, “Yes, Shri Mataji. They are all Sahaja Yogis”) So many! (The interpreter, “Yes, Shri Mataji”.) I’m amazed to see so many Sahaja Yogis in Ukraine. That shows how people are sensitive to spirituality, that they are taking to it so easily. They have been waiting I think, seeking all these years and suddenly now they have found the way. I see your love and your compassionment, your sweetness. I just don’t know how to put it in words – what I feel. Tonight for the Program I hope you’ll be all there and I’ll tell you how to be with yourself and how to be with everybody else. Shri Mataji Dwara Atmasakshatkar Kathmandu (Nepal)

1996-0416 Public Program, Kathmandu, Nepal All those, who are seeking the truth, my salutations to those saints. We, from within, keep searching for something or the other. There is no contentment within us. And, to tolerate anything, there is no energy within us. So, we should know, within us, why the discontentment, the hardship, the tension,  and worries are prevailing. The reason behind this is our mind. And this mind is an institution created by us. We have made this institution with two counteractions. One is, when there is an ego within us, we react because of this ego. When someone insults us or when we are angry with someone, or we want to destroy someone, the emotions cause turmoil of thoughts and it starts bubbling inside us.    On the other side, our counteractions happen because of the rituals we follow. Good rituals are less and bad ones are more. Because of these rituals also, in the form of reactions, several thoughts get accumulated. All these accumulated thoughts create an institution, which is known as mind and we lead our life according to that and become a slave to our mind. For example, we discovered watches and became a slave to it. We become slave to the watch and get bonded to it.     We discovered the computer and now we are slaving it. Similarly, we have created this mind and we are slaving it. In this slavery, we do not understand that we move away from genuinity, actuality, Read More …

Easter Puja Kolkata (India)

Easter Puja (Translated from Hindi). Calcutta (India), 14 April 1996. Today we are doing Easter Puja. Today is a very important day for Sahaja Yogis because Isa-Messiah (Jesus) has shown us that redemption of human beings is possible, and for that redemption we should always put in an effort. There is also a meaning why He was crucified. He was crucified on the cross and this cross is a symbol of the Swastika on the Agnya chakra. He was crucified and He left His body there only. He told some important things at that time and one most important thing out of this was “Wait for the Mother” – “Think of the Mother”. (Behold the Mother?)Everybody can interpret it in a different way, but it seems He said that He will send for us such a shakti (power) who has three channels – Trigunatmika, and that is described very beautifully. One of these Shaktis/powers will give us comfort. This comfort-giving power in us is Mahakali’s power which gives us comfort, which cures our diseases, which corrects/solves many questions of our past. The second power, which He gave us, which He sent to us, was Mahasaraswati and to this Mahasaraswati Power, He called Counsellor, the one who will counsel you – that means, who helps us for Yognirupan (to see the form of Yoga). With the help of this second power, we will get Gyan (Knowledge), we will know the subtle knowledge. And the third power, (Mahalakshmi) with the help of Read More …

Public Program: Maa ka Khel Maya Kolkata (India)

Translation of 1996-0413 Public Program, Maa ka Khel Maya, Kolkata, India (Hindi) I bow down to all the Seekers of Truth. First you should know, that truth will remain truth. What is truth today will remain truth tomorrow. You cannot change that in any way. You cannot transform it and you cannot describe it. Truth is to be known and it is known on our central nervous system. That is what is called bodh; that is what is called Vid. The word Budh from Bodh and the word Vedita from Vid. Until we can feel the truth on our central nervous system until then saying that you know the truth is deceiving yourself. You know truth with your mind with your brain which we call as mann. This system called as Mana which is established in us is a non-ordinary power of ours through which whatever we see, there is a reaction of anger a part of the system one side ego and another system is what we call Sanskar or conditioning. Using these two systems we react to any human, things, topic. Like we see this camera then we think whose it it, wonder what the cost is where to buy it and many other kinds of thoughts popup. The ego says we can also buy if that person can buy and the other system of super-ego driven by our conditioning thinks well with that person in a similar case this happened, it got broken / lost etc. Like Read More …

Birthday Puja: Mind is a Myth New Delhi (India)

Puja of the 73rd Birthday, “Mind is a myth”. Delhi (India), 21 March 1996. Translation from Hindi You are celebrating My birthday with so much love, reverence and respect.  Seeing this I think what have I done that you are showing so much love. Today I am going to tell you a very unusual fact, that this notion within us which we call as mind, is a myth.  The myth being, that when we are born, there is no such thing as mind within us.  As we gradually start performing actions, the outward reactions are of two kinds.  Either something becomes an impression or experience; or a consciousness of being the doer (ego) gets awakened within us.  Then from those come the tendencies which accumulate inside us like bubbles of thoughts, which create an artificial or bogus institution, which is so limited that they cannot comprehend the beauty, glory and expanse of reality.  All these things are created by us, and then we become slaves of it. For example we created the watch, and now we have become complete slaves of it.  In Sahaja Yoga you become Kaal-ateet, means you go beyond time.  Times moves along with you.  You do not run after time. Now people have started making computers, and they have become enslaved by it.  And in that enslavement, they have become so obsessed with it, that they are not able to realise that they are completely in its clutches.  Which is controlling them.  They are completely dependent Read More …

Effects of Kali Yuga and how to overcome it Pune (India)

1996-01-17 Public Program: Effects of Kali Yuga and how to overcome it, Pune, India (Hindi) [Translation from Hindi to English] I bow to all the seekers of the truth. The way I told you before, that truth is the truth. It can not be changed. You can not describe it also. You can not know it even by saying it. you can not know the truth even by reading books. Yes, there may be an indication that what is truth. First of all, we should know this that before relying upon something you should first experience it…Without knowing it or experiencing it, if you just rely on it by just closing your eyes, then it is also waste and if you keep saying something wrong then it is also incorrect. You are looking at the situation of today, that there is tremendous KALYUGA, And in this very KALyuga, every human being is in turmoil, is in problem or discomfort…Whether it is physical, mental, or intellectual …God did not give birth to you for all these problems in this world because. Because amid all this poverty, ignorance, and wickedness, we are being trapped. Some people are good, Religious and truthful and these one are more in trouble and are more persecuted…All of these tortures together show that there is tremendous KALYUGA. You can see the corruption everywhere and those who raise their voices against them are being troubled. The society suffering from corruption is going downgrade …Now if someone says that Read More …

Makar Sankranti Puja Pune (India)

Makar Sankranti Puja 14 Jan 1996, Pune, India (Hindi/English/Marathi) Translation from Hindi: Today, we have assembled here to perform the puja of the Sun God on the day of Sankranti. In our country, a lot of importance has been given to the puja of the Sun God and there is a custom to offer Arghya (water offering) to the Sun God and even in the foreign countries, Sun has been given a lot of importance. Their astrology and other scriptures is dependent on the Sun. During Sankranti, on 14 day of January, the Sun shifts from his existing position and comes to North, and that is the reason why we celebrate Sankranti with a lot of belief. But, before this earth motion, from 22 December to 14 January, the weather is severely cold. Many people suffer during this cold weather. They catch cold and face other such health problems. Then this is called the period of infection (‘sankraman’). It will become very cold, more than required. On account of this cold weather, number of problems arises. But, there is also benefit on account of this cold. That is, whatever worms and such similar things which move about and give problems in this season in this county, they recede to their resting place; most of them are destroyed also. Many people die on account of cold. Meaning, that in India cold is such that whatever parasites exist, they all get killed. It is also important that in India, cold should be Read More …

Public Program: Satya Ki Pahchan Chaitanya Se He Lucknow (India)

Public Program, Satya Ki Pahchan Chaitanya Se He, Lucknow, India, 14.12.1995 First of all we should understand one thing, that Truth is Truth. Truth is in its own place. We cannot change it, we cannot describe it. It is established in its own place. The only thing we have to do is to accept the original, created truth. Almighty God has made all the equipments and arrangements within us. It is of utmost importance to know this truth. Today, we can see that mankind, in this world of illusion, in this Kalyuga, is getting deceived and continuing to be misled. He is not able to understand what has happened to the old value systems, and from where to where we have finally reached. And what is going to be our future. When he begins to think, what is going to happen to our future, what is the arrangement for it, what situation and circumstances are going to be in there for our children. Then he begins to realize that the state, in which human beings find themselves today, is not the complete, entire state.  Because, he does not know the absolute truth. He does not know the one and only truth. Every person tries to use his brain and intellect to understand the truth. There are two schools of thoughts; one thought is we accept only that which is accepted through our intelligence and that which we think is right. But whatever perceived through our intellect is limited. Some think this Read More …

You cannot change it, you cannot describe it and it needs to be experienced. About this experience, for thousands of years Markandeya swami, Adi Shankaracharya, everyone and even in foreign countries, many great saints have told that without the experience you cannot know the truth. What we believe is the truth is through our intelligence, as per our brains. Whatever our intelligence says ‘it is true’, we believe it and get involved in it. The growth of this intelligence – is in the head of human beings. In the head, whatever Read More …

Try to find out the truth Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi (India)

Public Program (Hindi/English). Delhi (India), 3 December 1995. [Translation from Hindi] Those who are in search of the truth, my salutations to all those seekers. In India from time immemorial, there has been seeking for the truth. This can be understood by our scriptures. And by many other ways, we have been searching the truth. Our country is spiritual in a specific way. The reason behind this is, in our country many things are easily accessible. We do not know, how resourceful our country is, and how sacred it is. And how people here are very simple and unpolluted. We used to call all the foreigners as malecch (unclean). Because we used to see that the foreigners, who came here had their desires towards filth. In our days, now we have become old, it was observed that these people who have come from outside, were very superficial. Their whole Outlook was very shallow. There desires used to be very frivolous. Slowly, in our country also, the western culture has started influencing. The reason behind this was, for 300 years westerners have been on our head. And slowly we started thinking that these people are very great, who have come to our country to rule over us. In fact, these people made fool of everyone and got their work done. Secondly, because of the ritualisms, different types of wrong rituals came into practice in our society, because of which we started becoming cultureless. Our culture started disappearing. perticularly in north India, Read More …

Diwali Puja: Beginning of Sahaja yoga Nargol (India)

1995-10-29 Diwali Puja [Hindi to English translation] I had not thought that after twenty-five years, so many Sahaj yogis would collect in Nargol. When I first came here, I had no idea that Sahasrara would be opened. I was just thinking that we needed to observe the status of Man. Man had not yet reached the stage where he would understand what Self-realisation is, although many saints had provided proof of Self-realisation. This knowledge is known to a great extent in Maharashtra, because the people who followed the middle path, called Nath Panthis, had suggested there was only one path to be followed for the betterment of oneself, and that was the path of Self-realisation. I also knew that you cannot get anything without knowing your own Self. But I saw that the situation of human beings at that time was rather strange. The people they were trying to follow were not pious. They had no other motive than earning money, and when a man’s situation is like that, when he doesn’t recognise truth at all, it is very difficult to tell him about truth. And why should people listen to me? Repeatedly, I felt that that Man should struggle a little more. But I found that people were facing the torture of Kali Yuga very badly. On the one hand, the people who had done good deeds in their previous lives were being tortured by those who had done bad deeds. Among those, there were also people who were Read More …

After Concert Talk Nargol (India)

After Concert Talk Nargol 10-28-1995 Shri Mataji (in Marathi): Today, all things have been delayed and we all know the reason why. However, in Sahaja Yoga, we do not look at the clock. And we also do not keep thinking whether some things are happening as per the planned time or not. Whatever happens “Sahaja” (with ease/without effort), only that gives true joy. Now these songs that were conducted earlier, they were in English, or I would say, in the Western style and you all like it. I found great satisfaction in that. Otherwise, there are a lot of music experts sitting here. And they will say, “Mataji, what is this that you have started here?”. However, we should listen to all forms of music. Obviously, I am not referring to just any kind of music, that is coming out these days. But all forms of music. I am very fond of Western classical music. I am also very fond of South Indian music. And of course, ours. We have to have an extensive vision. And I was very happy to see that you appreciated what the French people (Sahaja Yogis), presented to you, the songs. The lead singer among them, from Zaire, in Africa, he is a very famous singer. A very famous singer in France. And now he is in Sahaja Yoga. He teaches small children also and says all our mantras. So there is a very big revolution in the world. They worship Shri Ganesha and sing Read More …
