Shri Mahalakshmi Puja: Integrity Warnali (India)

1985-0203 Shri Mahalaxmi Puja, Warnali (Sangli), Version 1, Part 1, India, Sunday, Feb 3, 1985, Warnali, India [Till 2.05 Shri Mataji being greeted Mataji speaks in Marathi to the organisers] 3.15 [English Transcript] Today is the time when you have to depart and go to the other side of this country to see a very beautiful scenic place, but I will be going to Ratnagiri for My programme. I hope you’re not feeling tortured too much in your tour (laughs). After all, you know 250 persons is something too big, but somehow you all have been very considerate and cooperative that you all took, all the inconveniences with such pleasant faces. One has to understand that when we have love we can adjust yourselves to any circumstances and you can live with so many people without feeling the inconveniences. But to feel that love for another person, the love that is without lust and greed, the love that is pure, you have to be the spirit. The comfort of the spirit gives you the comfort, not the comfort outside.  So it is such a co-related thing. That first your spirit has to achieve a certain state and then the spirit has to reach a certain understanding of another person through a spirit, not through the mind, not through the body, not through the circumstances, but through the spirit. When you feel the others spirit, you get the satisfaction of the spirit and not of the body. But this is a Read More …

Welcome Talk Ahmednagar (India)

Welcome Talk 1985 01 25 Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. Mr Pankay, the administrator of Municipal corporation of Ahmednagar, and other officers who are being very kind to host you to this beautiful function. And all the public from Ahmednagar. From all the Sahaja yogis abroad who have come all the way here, also the Sahaja yogis who are Indians, I would like to Thank administrator Mr Pankay for his kind invitation to this gracious occasion. [Clapping..]Tomorrow is a great day, in my life also, that it’s our republic day, we got our independence on the 15th of August, but we celebrate 26th as the republic day and as you know that my father, my mother, all my family sacrificed everything that they had to achieve this freedom. Even I, as you know, I have done my bit in this respect, and I have been a great leader of young students at that time. So, it is such a great thing to see this dream come true that without getting your freedom, your political freedom, you cannot ask for your spiritual freedom. Today, we don’t have Mahatma Gandhi with us, but if he was here, he would have supported Sahaja Yoga out and out. [Clapping..] As Mr Pankay has pointed out that it is our heritage of our culture which has kept us together, in this diversity, the unity is expressed because we have set certain basic fundamental ideas which are common, whatever religion, whatever race we may have. One of the Read More …

Mahashivaratri Puja: Detachment & Enlightenment of Brain Pandharpur (India)

“Detachment & Enlightenment of Brain,” Mahashivaratri Puja, Pandharpur (India), February 29th, 1984 So now, we all have arrived, it’s all right. Now, this place has been chosen because they said that there are lot of horrible people the other way round. Still, we are having their problems. [Laughter] All right. You see, you must know these are modern times, and modern times have lots of complications. (Translation from Marathi: “Has everyone arrived? I will first speak in English, then in Marathi. As these people can’t understand anything otherwise, and that won’t be proper”.) In these modern times, a place which is supposed to be a holy place becomes the most unholy place. It’s such a topsy-turvy condition these days. And when we are trying to establish something very fundamental, it’s like a little seedling that has to come out of the stones, you see. It has to fight lots of things, so we have to keep our brains intact and be sensible about everything, and try to see what we can achieve through our patience and understanding – is very important. Today, I think is a very great day for all of us because this place is the place of Viraat, of Shri Vitthala. Is the place where Shri Vitthala appeared to a devoted son and when he asked Him that, “You better stand on a brick”, He stood there. And they say that He stood there waiting. Some people say that the statue that we see came out of Read More …
