Mahashivaratri Puja: Destructive Power of Shri Mahadeva Pune (India)

“Destructive Power Of Shri Mahadeva,” Mahashivaratri Puja, Pune (India), 25 February 2001. Today we are here to celebrate Mahashivaratri. It’s a very great privilege for all of us to understand about Shri Mahadeva. Unless and until you have got your Self-realisation you cannot understand what is the great personality, the character and the powers of Shri Mahadeva. It’s not easy to conceive – also to reach the depth – of His greatness unless and until we are humble. We have to be very humble to reach at the lotus feet of Shri Mahadeva. As you have seen that one has to cross even the Sahasrara to be at the lotus feet of this Great Personality. He is beyond, beyond our conception, but He resides in our hearts as the Spirit and is reflected very well when you get your Realisation. But still one has to understand the powers of Shri Mahadeva; which is not very easy to describe about this great God in little words. But the first power He Himself has [is] that He is a very forgiving God: He forgives; He forgives us so many of our sins, so many of our destructive activities, our horrible mind which tries to create problems for everyone, up to a point! But He has the greatest power to destroy. His destruction comes so suddenly because He rules all the elements. All the elements He rules: He rules the Mother Earth, and He rules all other elements. Through their causal, He rules. Read More …

New Year Puja: You All Have to Become Masters in Sahaja Yoga Kalwa (India)

New Year Puja, Kalwa, India. 31 December 2000. [English transcription] Now, we are starting a New Year, and I wish you all a very happy and prosperous New Year. (Applause) In this wish of Mine I also wish you a very deep growth in Sahaja Yoga. (Applause)Now you all are Sahaja Yogis and you all have to become masters in Sahaja Yoga. For becoming masters in Sahaja Yoga I am sure you are doing meditation, introspection and all kinds of Sahaja Yoga rituals, I should say. In this New Year, I’ll think there is greater chance for you to do much better, because all those years of ordeals are over. (Applause) We are now entering into the New Era. I say now the Satya Yuga is established. (Applause) In the beginning you may not feel the atmosphere of Kali Yuga being cleared out completely. Of course gradually you’ll find that’s all clearing out and all the people who are dangerous for your spiritual life, for your national life, for your family life, will have to take back their way; they cannot be successful here. (Applause) Now the Sahaja Yogis have to decide how far they will spread Sahaja Yoga all over. How many people can get into Sahaja Yoga? There should be many more waiting for you this year, and maybe this year, if you all decide to work it out, I am sure you can get lots of people who will be saved from the curses of Kali Yuga. Christmas Puja Ganapatipule (India)

Christmas Puja, Ganapatipule (India), 25 December 2000 [Shri Mataji speaks first in Hindi for about sixteen minutes] [Scanned from Divine Cool Breeze – Translation from Hindi to English] The reason for celeberaling this auspicious day is the birth of the Christ. Very little is known about Jesus Christ because in young age he left his house and after returning he lived only up to the age of thirty year But dunng this short period he did tremendous work After his death, his twelve disciples spread Christianity. They also faced problems as you have to face sometimes But these twelve disciples did tremendous work. Their followers. In the beginning, were known as Gnostics, meaning ‘Those who have known’ The origin of this word is from ‘Gna’ meaning To Know’ These people were harassed and tortured by the priests of that time So in the beginning it was very difficult to convince people of Christ s thoughts People were not seif realised Jesus Christ had said it again and again ‘Know Thyself. ‘Know Thyself Without realising the significance of self realisation people started spreading the religion. Without knowing the Self, religion could not be spread because gradually such religion becomes Adharmas Same thing happened with Christian religion It is written that Jesus Chnst went to a wedding party There he put his finger in the water and converted it tn to wine It is written in Hebrew language thatthe taste of this water changed in to that of the wine. ‘Wine’ in Hebrew Read More …

Evening Program, Nishat Khan Concert, Eve of Navaratri Puja Campus, Cabella Ligure (Italy)

Evening Program before Navaratri Puja DAY – 1 06.10.2000 Cabella TAPE – 1 2:47:06 …Art, not only that but all the intricate patterns of it. I was overjoyed to see Sahaja yoginis and Sahaja yogis dancing so well and I hope that will change the styles of their walk. (Shri Mataji and people in audience laugh) When I came first to London long time back with my daughters, they used to wonder look at women here and they said mummy they all walk like horse. I said really, see their hair also going like, going up and down and the way they walk. Big influence of horses I think on England. But that was just by the way I told him. But you must have noticed Pawar is a very humourous person because he comes from India, not only that from Maharashtra and he belongs to the same caste as mine. So they are known for their humour. And in his humour he has tried to entertain you very well. I must say this, he’s such an expert on Kathak. To understand it, I think aa.. you require little knowledge about the percussions. If you have that knowledge then you will understand how it is difficult, how it is intricate and how it is creative to produce this. It’s a very, very long study, long work, they have to do and practices after practices. That’s how the Indian art is. But I was surprised that when Sahaja yogis go in Read More …

You must have desire to settle down Holland Park School, London (England)

Public Program in Holland Park School. London (UK), 27 September 2000. I am very happy to see so many people here to know about Sahaja Yoga in all its details, but in this short time what can you be told? That firstly you got your realization, you felt the cool breeze all right and that it was an experience, but beyond this experience we have to settle down. It is very, very important that you must have desire to settle down. You don’t know the importance of your personality. You are the one who’ll save this world. Because the salvation of the whole world is not possible with Myself and you people, who will be really developed, it will be such a force.I told about England yesterday, another thing is that England is the heart of the universe I think. Everything circulates from here, whatever happens small or big it circulates. It is not that only England has many newspapers or television centers but somehow it circulates everywhere. I used to think only in India, it’s not so. I’ve seen everywhere, every country, there’s news about England. Even in America, even in South America, I was surprised how people are worried about England so much that they want to know what’s happening in England. My own experience is this, that they get so upset with the things that upsets your country, not only that but anything that happens of a very small importance is noted down and they always tell Read More …

Marriages and Talk To Bridegrooms Palazzo Doria, Cabella Ligure (Italy)

Marriages, Talk To Bridegrooms Palazzo Doria, Cabella Ligure (Italy), September 17th, 2000 I didn’t give any lecture to the girls. I think it is more the responsibility of the men to make their marriages successful. Men have to understand that marriage is a very important part of your life. And your time and respect should be given for that. The way you care for your wife from the very beginning helps you a lot. You try and understand what she wants, what are her demands, anything – try to see that you show her your interest in her. From the very first day, be careful not to neglect her and to misunderstand her. She comes from another country, so she has her own upbringing, her own ideas – try to understand and respect them. Marriage is all joy, but you must take it up very seriously. It’s not just a joke. Specially in Sahaja Yoga, one should understand that marriage is a very important thing, by which you have a couple which are sanctified. And they carry the responsibility of making the Sahaja Yoga very successful. Sahaja Yoga is a great thing, because it can transform the whole world into a very beautiful place. And you are responsible for that. As men, you should understand your responsibility as a great person, who is the, sort of a head of the family. I – yesterday I told you that I don’t believe in divorce, but I expect you to be very Read More …

Address to IAS officers wives association New Delhi (India)

Public Program, Address to IAS officers wives association, New Delhi, India. 08-04-2000  I bow to all the seekers of truth. Today as they say is a ghor kaliyuga and all sorts of horrible things we can see, hear, read in the newspapers. Its a fact that its a very bad times we are passing, also we find very low graded people, we can call them of very low value systems but it was also predicted long long time back that at this time only the people who are seeking the truth in the (hills sal days{unclear}), Himalayas all kinds of (god basis {unclear})will find the truth. Its already described by many many great astrologists, also by saints. So at this time we are priest in a very fortunate circumstances. I must say I have a great love for all the people who are in the IAS and IPS and all the civil services because I know what one has to go through, its life of great turmoil and sacrifice, also for the wife, but I always felt that this is like the soldier fighting in the war. We are here to build up this country. My husband was first in the foreign service, I had never heard of services and all that so I said now what must be the foreign services but I said I am not going to go to any foreign country, just now we have got freedom and we have to work here, we have to work out many things Read More …

Nirmal Dham Bhoomi Pujan: The pain can only be removed by you New Delhi (India)

2000-04-07 Public Program (Hindi) [Translation from Hindi scanned from the Divine Cool Breeze] I bow to you all the seekers of truth. I never expected that you will come in such big numbers, and would understand the importance of this work, Once we were going for a Sahaj Yoga programme, and were passing through a place known as Daulatabad. By chance, in a sahaj way, our car developed some problem and stopped. When I got down I saw there were many women, more than a hundred, standing there with their children. The number of children was many times more than the women These women were collecting water from a leaking tap. Wearing tattered clothes, and managing to cover their heads with torn veils, they were standing in that scorching heat. I couldn’t understand what was happening! I asked them, “What are you doing here? How have you come here?” They replied, we are all Muslim ladies. Our husbands have divorced us. These are our children. The amount of Mehar (settlement), which we got from our husbands, was so little, that it was not enough even to pull on for a month. Somehow we have got employment. We break stones into small pieces to earn our livelihood. But where do you live? They pointed towards an area of broken down huts. We live there. There were crooked tin sheds and some had only some cloth shelter, which could not be called a house. They said we all live in that.I said, Read More …

Gudi Padwa Puja Noida (India)

2000- 04-05 Gudi Padwa/Navaratri Puja Talk, India Here, in India, two Navratris (nine nights of the Goddess) are celebrated. One is the Chaitra Navratri (the first month of the Hindu calendar)  when She is worshipped in the form of Shailaputri. This is Her first incarnation, and She had taken birth in the Himalayas. That is why She is called Shailaputri (daughter of the Himalaya). She has other names also.  But Shailaputri has special significance because it was the very first time that She took an incarnation.  She was born in the extreme cold conditions of the Himalayas because whatever She had to achieve, was confined to that environment. But you are not aware of the whole story.  Her father Daksha had held a great Havan, but did not invite Shiva. She was Shiva’s wife.  So She, the Devi, immolated Herself. This was the first time Sati was performed. She entered the fire of the Havan, and offered Herself as “Aahuti” (oblation to the fire). Then Shiva came.  He picked up Her body and left.   As He kept moving, pieces of Her Divine Body fell in different places on Mother Earth.  We believe that wherever the sacred pieces fell, Her Shakti vibrates there. Like in Vindhyaachal, and many other places. It is said that in all those places, the  Shakti of the Devi acts, and purifies everything. Among the seven Shaktis (powers) of the Devi, one of them is ‘Saunharak’ Shakti, (the destructive power). This Saunharak Shakti is right sided. On Read More …

Commands of Intellect and its Effect New Delhi (India)

Public Program, Hamari Atma kya chij hai, New Delhi 25-03-2000 I bow to all the seekers of truth. So far we did not know what is the truth. We accepted whatever the brain made us believe. The brain misguided so much that we started justifying all our deeds. Man moved away from the path of truth. We started running after the material gains. Human connections with truth was severed and human beings fell into the unknown abyss. Now people are surprised as to how it happened? Why such a situation arose? Why did man shift from wisdom to (un-wise) wickedness? Wickedness took the place of wisdom. This wickedness benefited neither the individual nor anyone else. Sometimes we are alarmed to see the happenings around like bloodshed and violence. Even small children are not spared. Many such perversions have set in. I can only say that there is an extreme “kaliyuga”. The scriptures have not described the age/period to be so terrible. Scriptures made just a mention of it. It’s written that in this age people will have their meals in the utensils of iron instead of brass. Many such formal things have been referred to, but the scene before us is horrible and sad. Man should not lose his way. In search of happiness he ran after the wrong things and happiness remained a mirage. He sank in deep darkness. Man doesn’t know that his deeds are evil and that he has to suffer as a result, such things-deeds have Read More …

Kundalini ki jagruti se Mumbai (India)

2000-0312  Public Program, Kundalini ki Jagruti se, (With Kundalini Awakening), Mumbai Translation from Hindi: I bow to all the seekers of truth.  First I will speak in Hindi, and after that in Marathi;  because it is our National language, and I feel that everyone should at least have some knowledge of Hindi.  Of course there is no language like Marathi. This I agree.  But the person who knows Marathi should find it easy to know Hindi.  It is a very easy language.  I have spoken to you many times about Kundalini, and I have explained that with the awakening of the Kundalini all the unwanted particles and fragments inside us, get removed.  The Six Enemies of the soul (Shadripus) inside us, like Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachments, Jealousy and Vanity – these shadripus are always troubling us.  This happens because whatever our brain sees, it always reacts to it.  Because of this reaction we feel inside our brain, that if we also do these things, we will get some advantage.  But these are our enemies, and if we adopt and encourage them, how can they be beneficial to us. But the society we are seeing in these times, especially in this country of India, anarchy has spread; such unrighteous people have sprung up, that they have not only destroyed themselves but are trying to destroy the country.  Such kind of people are there, especially in Mumbai, and people say there are a lot of villains and evildoers.  It is difficult to Read More …

Address to IAS Officers, Stress and Tension Management Y.B.Chavan Auditorium, Mumbai (India)

Address to IAS Officers, Mumbai (India), 11 March 2000. I bow to all the seekers of truth. That’s a very interesting subject that has been given to Me to talk to you people because I have been always worried about the IAS, IPS, and other Government servants, very much worried because I have known the kind of life My husband was leading. And I used to think: if these new people, who have come to the services, to the Government service, we have to tell them the dangers that are ahead of them. Because we don’t know what is the subtle system within us, which works. And in the subtle system, when we lead this kind of a very speedy, intensive life, it has a defect. It has a defect you can see in the chart. They have shown the, they have shown the subtle system which works it out. So, we have a center here on the crossing of the optic chiasma. These, this center is very important because we react with this. We react to everything. By this reaction we create a problem within ourselves. And this reaction comes to us because we do not know how to go beyond the mind. Every time we are looking at something, we react. We look at someone, we react. But we cannot just watch. We cannot be just the witness. If we could be the witness, it will not have any effect on us. But we cannot be. That’s the Read More …

Guru Nanak Birthday Puja Noida House, Noida (India)

[English translation from Hindi] Anniversary of Guru Nanak Birthday, Noida House (India), November 1999. Today is the birthday of Guru Nanaka. It is being celebrated through-out the world with so much of zeal that I have not seen in India. For the first time it has been advertised in so many papers and by different means.Guru Nanaka always talked of Sahaja Yoga. Everything else, He said, is just showing off. About religion He said that observing fasts, going on pilgrimage, etc., are just meant to show off. Now you have to discover the power that is within you and establish it. Guru Nanaka kept on repeating the same thing again and again. He never talked of rituals: But when Guru Teg- Bahadur came, tomorrow is his martyrs day, He was also of the same opinion. But when there was the last Guru, war was being fought. So, he prescribed Kada (iron bangle), long hair (not to cut hair) etc. All this was prescribed by him. But Guru Nanaka always talked of the spirit. Everything else is of no value, He explained it very clearly, but no one heeded what He wrote. They will just put a finger on the couplet and read it out. Could we understand him this way? If we go through His writings properly and absorb it, then the whole Shabad-Jalam (confusion), in which most of the people are caught, will come to an end. See the condition of Sikhs! They are not looking within themselves, which Read More …

Shri Hanumana Puja Pune (India)

Shri Hanuman puja. Pune [India], 31 March 1999. Today we are celebrating Jayanti [birth anniversary] of Hanumanji. What should we say about Hanumanji? He was so powerful and wise. He was equally devoted and dedicated. Generally such a powerful person becomes right-sided. He considers himself so dignified that he doesn’t give any importance to anyone in his comparison. But Hanumanji is a special deity. A special deity full of qualities that, as much strong He was, as much powerful He was, as much was His devotion. An embodiment of balanced strength, He had as much power as He had devotion. How did He maintain this balance? And was steady in it is worth understanding in Sahaja Yoga. When we are enlightened and in Sahaja Yoga, we get many powers simultaneously: we get balance, we love others. With love and with the help of the power of love, we get busy in our work and go on doing our work. In this way, Shri Hanumanji was very powerful. He had Divine powers; He had Navadha [special] powers, which are called Garima Laghuma. He could become as big as He wanted to be or as minute as He wanted to be and as small as an atom. All these powers He got through His devotion. It means that devotion and power are both the same. He who has power and doesn’t have devotion, becomes a rakshasa. [demon] And he who has devotion but doesn’t have power, becomes mad. Between both these, he Read More …

Evening Program, Eve of Shri Hanumana Puja Pune (India)

Evening Program, Eve of Shri Hanumana Puja – Pune (India), Tuesday March 30th 1999 [Talk before performance] This is a great desire of My father being fulfilled, that he wanted to start a music academy for all the foreigners especially. Because it seems that our knowledge of classical music is very deep and is of a global nature and so we got lots of students from all over the world who are studying music. Most surprising was the way they picked up our classical music.  For example, somebody starts singing Malkauns Raag within three months who doesn’t know even the Sa Re Ga Ma of Indian music… [Shri Mataji laughs]  It’s such a remarkable thing. Then there’s another one who plays sarod… I’m really surprised in three months how could they do so much and I have been trying to analyse what sort of personalities they have that they grow so fast – even in tabla, harmonium – in every way, how they have become so competent in such a short time. Is really remarkable. [sentence in Hindi] [0:1:15 – 1:09:23 Performance of several raags and bhajans by students of The Late PK Salve Academy of Fine Arts & Music, Nagpur] [1:09:24 – 1:16:17 Shri Mataji speaks in Hindi apart from one line in English to the students at 1:15:54: ‘I thank you all on their behalf.’] [Talk at end of Vocal Recital by Meena Patharpekar] I think you give her a standing ovation. Gudi Padwa Puja Noida (India)

Gudi Padwa puja, Noida, India, 18 March 1999 Translation from Hindi: Today is the Day of Gudi Padwa [The New Year’s Day of the Shalivahana shak]. And it is celebrated in Maharashtra mostly, but now in other places too. It is said that it is a very auspicious day. Whatever work is done on that day it is fruitful. But whatever is the reason is as per worldly beliefs. The other thing is that, in the dynasty of Shalivahana, there was one person: Babruvahan. He defeated the king Vikramaditya. After that, he started this new calendar called ‘Shalivahana Shak’. According to this calender, today is the first day [of the year].Its importance is major in Maharashtra. To represent the Shalivahanas, they take a Kumbha [and a stick] on which they put a shawl – he was Shalivahana. The Kumbha represents the Kundalini. They tie a shawl [to the stick] and keep a Kumbha on top of it. The meaning is that the Kumbha also represents spirituality. Spirituality is represented by the Kumbha. The Shalivahanas used to call themselves the seven vehicles. They had a lot of faith in Kundalini. Later, they started giving a shawl to the Devi. They were worshipers of the Devi so they called themselves the Shalivahanas. That is how the name got changed. The Shalivahanas who were there, came from Mewar. They were the rulers of Mewar from the Sisodia Dynasty. Their son, of Sisodia dynasty, for some reason, had a disagreement with his uncle. So, he ran Read More …

Shivaratri Evening Program and Talk on NGO New Delhi (India)

Talk on NGO, Delhi (India), 13 February 1999. We have started one NGO for destitute women and children; plus, we’ll be having a hospital here. As you know, we have one in… good hospital in Belapur, near Vashi in New Bombay. And this hospital will be in Noida. [Applause] Today, you’ll be happy to know that we have now got the land in Noida and we are going to start our work there. You… whatever you want to contribute for NGO, you are allowed to contribute and we have a very good team of people who want to work it out. This is something… I thought that we must have, also, our attention for people who are in great trouble around us. So, this NGO will work for women who are left by their husbands, by their family – who has nobody to look after – and also their children. Still I have not made the whole plans. But before starting Sahaja Yoga, I used to do lots of things like that. So I have quite a lot of experience. Our attention should be, really, towards people who are in trouble. Now – as we are now enriched with divine power – we should look after those who really deserve our attention. You’ll be very happy to know about women who are destitutes recommended by Sahaja Yogis, will be a better idea. And, it can be worked out very well. So far, we haven’t got any application of women who Read More …

New Year’s eve Puja: Indian Culture Kalwa (India)

New Year’s eve Puja (English part). Kalwa (India), 31 December 1998. Firstly I will speak in English language as we have many Sahaja Yogis from abroad. They have asked me to talk about Indian culture today because Bombay is the place where Indian culture is disappearing, that’s what they say. But I don’t think so, because the roots are so deep that we cannot give up that culture so fast. Now as it is for the people who are coming from other countries, they have to realize that this country had no religion as such, because there was not one book, they didn’t follow one person, they didn’t have any organizations as we have for other religions, we never had a higher priesthood or all those appointed people, it was all done very spontaneously. The whole thing worked out very spontaneously. But behind all that was, as I told you before, the attitude of Indians or our style was, not to challenge or to question what these great saints have given us. Because we accepted their status as saints, as higher personalities in a way – in a sense they were higher than us. So we didn’t want to challenge them, and whatever they said we accepted. As a result that became sort of, you can call it, a way of conduct or way of life. But as a religion we had nothing, except that later on the caste system developed. Before that there was no caste system because non-Brahmins Read More …

The Revival of Indian Spirituality New Delhi (India)

1998-1214 Public Program, The Revival of Indian Spirituality Now you are coming from different countries.  I am very happy to see you all.  Here also we have sahaja yogis from different countries who have come.  Lucky that, that this time they are here and you are here. Many people come to India, all the time, from all over the world.  And if you ask them they’d say we are seeking the truth.  So why are you coming to India of all the places?  They say that they have learned that the truth is in India, that we have to find out the truth.  I must say that in our country also we have lots of falsehood and lots of false gurus have come up just to make money, to befool people and to some [UNCLEAR another/or the other] to destroy our relationships.  But I must tell you that India is a very deep country and the knowledge of this country is not easy for a western mind to grab.  Really to begin with because the reason is, the style of seeking knowledge in India is different, absolutely opposite of what you have in the West. First of all, in India, I mean those who are real seekers and those who want to know the reality they are the ones who see one point that this is [UNCLEAR relation] is written in our ancient books, described by great saints as you have also Sufis and all these people there and also Read More …

Evening Program, Eve of Easter Puja Istanbul (Turkey)

Evening Program At Easter Puja, Istanbul, Turkey, 1998-04-18 (From 2:07:52 speech starts) I never expected such a beautiful pandal you have raised and the way you have organized the stage as if you are all experts on stage arrangements. I can’t understand how beautiful it was all done. Now I don’t know what to say about all the programs that you have arranged. One better than the other and it shows such a capacity you have or you have developed to organize such beautiful entertaining, continuous programs. I used to do the same when I was young. I used to arrange many programs and I know the difficulties and hurdles we had. Because the people who did that were not Sahaja Yogis. You are all Sahaja Yogis so you are also combining and you are helping each other, so beautifully. There is so much of harmony, no problem of any kind. This is something to be seen and to be felt the way it has been done. I was really surprised the way, they had the Turkish dance also. These people are beautiful dancers and they can be paid very heavily. If somehow I could introduce them to some Serena people from India. They used this kind of dance very much and but it is very difficult. I don’t know if you understand there is a myth patterns of those people who danced here and who are so fast. Felicitation at Unity International Conference The Claridges, New Delhi (India)

TRANSCRIPTION OF FELICITATION AT UNITY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE 1997-0406, NEW DELHI, INDIA Doctor U.C. Rai: 1984, I met Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. She was giving a talk usually in a hall, one of the halls [UNCLEAR] when She was there. And She said that Sahaja Yoga is considered, if you do not think it is possible, why don’t you do some research? And that was the beginning in 1984 of doing some research on Sahaja Yoga. I was a professor at that time. I asked one of my students to take this subject and he started doing it. And the first thing that came to my mind, that if I ask somebody to do this Yoga, then I must be very clear as to what are the advantages of this Yoga on his body. And therefore, the first thing before diseases are ready, I would like to tell you only a few. One was, that there was a change in the secretion of neurotransmitters. And these neurotransmitters, as doctors here will know, had an array. You see, these are usually produced when you are in a state of psychological stress. If there is a greater production of adrenalin the body, it can give rise to so many things. It produces anxiety, neurosis, it can produce hypertension, palpitation and so on. I thought that it is a very good thing. That, if by doing Sahaja Yoga for fifteen to twenty minutes, you can decrease the production of adrenalin, which is Read More …

And in that style, I feel that there is a combination of every sort of permutations and combinations we use in music …Well, I don’t want to discuss them …that part of the music…But it’s very elevating…Elevating and for you people who are all Sahaja Yogis now, you should know that we have some more here sitting …Today is the great day of resurrection of Christ and resurrection of many if you take place now And I am surprised that even so many Muslims are now getting their realization, so easily. Muslims are the best, I think for realization because perhaps they follow the ‘Nirakara’, the formless. They already described in the ‘Koran’ that you have to receive your resurrection. So there are Read More …

Awakening of “DHARMA” (Religion) Varanasi (India)

1996-12-12 Public Program – Dharma Jagran, Varanasi, India (Hindi)Awakening of “DHARMA”(Religion) [Translation from Hindi to English] I bow to all the seekers of the truth. First of all, you should recognize the truth because the truth is immutable. We can not describe it, we cannot discuss it and until we experience it we can not understand it. Whatever I am going to tell you, you don’t need to take it fully or agree with it (God save from this blind faith). Due to Blind faith, there is a very bad situation nowadays. Very bad…It may happen that many times the mind gets delighted by faith but it does not achieve the truth from it and we can not get the peace of our heart. Those people who use to come to earn the merit (“Punya”) from Kashi (in Varanasi)were killed on the way. There were many dacoits and swindler who use to rob them… Despite this, there was a reverence (faith)to go to Varanasi. And by going there they had the faith that – ‘we will wash our sins and we will become saintly’. It may happen by the grace of Mahadeva (shiva) that they become a little bit saintly…But whatever is achieved is the mere sight (“Darshan Matr”)for eg- There is a very beautiful painting and in this painting, the painter has created a very beautiful creation of the world …Get overwhelmed by seeing her beauty…There he has created- beautiful trees, mountains, flowing river, flying birds, trees with different colours Read More …

Public Programme, 12 March 1996 New Delhi (India) [Hindi to English translation] My greetings to all of you, who are seeking the truth. In India, from time immemorial, a search for truth has been going on. This is known from our scriptures. We searched for truth in different ways. Our country is spiritual in a very special way, the reason being many things are accessible in our country. We do not know how prosperous and how holy our country is and how simple and clean the people are. We used to call foreigners ‘mlecchha’ because we noticed that those who came here tended to have unclean desires. In our time- now I have grown old- it was noticed that those who came from foreign countries how shallow they were, how shallow their vision was and how shallow their desires were. Gradually, this western culture also started to have a tremendous hold on our country. The reason for that was for three hundred years, these people ruled our heads and we slowly started believing that these people who have come to our country and were ruling us, were very great. In reality, these outsiders have got their work done by fooling us. We became cultureless because of other rituals, many bizarre practices and malpractices creeping into our society. Our culture slowly started disappearing.  I could never imagine that so many seekers will come forward, especially in North India. The reason for this could be, in your previous lives, you might have been great seekers Read More …

Myths are unreal Royal Albert Hall, London (England)

Public Program. Royal Albert Hall, London (UK), 28 June 1996. I bow to all the seekers of truth. It has to be understood that truth what we know through our mental capacity is not the truth, because mind itself is a myth. We have created it. As we have created computers. we have created our myth also through our conditioning and through our ego. Beyond it is the reality. So if you have to know the absolute truth something has to happen. We have to evolve into a higher realm of existence of consciousness. You have been already told about the subtle system that you have. You all have it. You are the owner of it and you have every right to achieve that state of consciousness which in the Zen system call it “Satori”.In every system they have something they call it some name, like the Islam calls it “Wali”, some called it “Sufi”. In the realm of reality, when we are not, we have problems, because we fight for unreal things, you think of unreal thing as real and accept. For example, when they English lost the match. I mean one party has to win, either this or that. But they were so much identified with it, which was falsehood. They were not playing, there were not players that they were English, alright. But there was no war going on. See the myth about it is this, that we get identified with things which are themselves not real. Read More …

Shri Mataji Dwara Atmasakshatkar Kathmandu (Nepal)

1996-0416 Public Program, Kathmandu, Nepal All those, who are seeking the truth, my salutations to those saints. We, from within, keep searching for something or the other. There is no contentment within us. And, to tolerate anything, there is no energy within us. So, we should know, within us, why the discontentment, the hardship, the tension,  and worries are prevailing. The reason behind this is our mind. And this mind is an institution created by us. We have made this institution with two counteractions. One is, when there is an ego within us, we react because of this ego. When someone insults us or when we are angry with someone, or we want to destroy someone, the emotions cause turmoil of thoughts and it starts bubbling inside us.    On the other side, our counteractions happen because of the rituals we follow. Good rituals are less and bad ones are more. Because of these rituals also, in the form of reactions, several thoughts get accumulated. All these accumulated thoughts create an institution, which is known as mind and we lead our life according to that and become a slave to our mind. For example, we discovered watches and became a slave to it. We become slave to the watch and get bonded to it.     We discovered the computer and now we are slaving it. Similarly, we have created this mind and we are slaving it. In this slavery, we do not understand that we move away from genuinity, actuality, Read More …

Easter Puja Kolkata (India)

Easter Puja (Translated from Hindi). Calcutta (India), 14 April 1996. Today we are doing Easter Puja. Today is a very important day for Sahaja Yogis because Isa-Messiah (Jesus) has shown us that redemption of human beings is possible, and for that redemption we should always put in an effort. There is also a meaning why He was crucified. He was crucified on the cross and this cross is a symbol of the Swastika on the Agnya chakra. He was crucified and He left His body there only. He told some important things at that time and one most important thing out of this was “Wait for the Mother” – “Think of the Mother”. (Behold the Mother?)Everybody can interpret it in a different way, but it seems He said that He will send for us such a shakti (power) who has three channels – Trigunatmika, and that is described very beautifully. One of these Shaktis/powers will give us comfort. This comfort-giving power in us is Mahakali’s power which gives us comfort, which cures our diseases, which corrects/solves many questions of our past. The second power, which He gave us, which He sent to us, was Mahasaraswati and to this Mahasaraswati Power, He called Counsellor, the one who will counsel you – that means, who helps us for Yognirupan (to see the form of Yoga). With the help of this second power, we will get Gyan (Knowledge), we will know the subtle knowledge. And the third power, (Mahalakshmi) with the help of Read More …

Public Program: Maa ka Khel Maya Kolkata (India)

Translation of 1996-0413 Public Program, Maa ka Khel Maya, Kolkata, India (Hindi) I bow down to all the Seekers of Truth. First you should know, that truth will remain truth. What is truth today will remain truth tomorrow. You cannot change that in any way. You cannot transform it and you cannot describe it. Truth is to be known and it is known on our central nervous system. That is what is called bodh; that is what is called Vid. The word Budh from Bodh and the word Vedita from Vid. Until we can feel the truth on our central nervous system until then saying that you know the truth is deceiving yourself. You know truth with your mind with your brain which we call as mann. This system called as Mana which is established in us is a non-ordinary power of ours through which whatever we see, there is a reaction of anger a part of the system one side ego and another system is what we call Sanskar or conditioning. Using these two systems we react to any human, things, topic. Like we see this camera then we think whose it it, wonder what the cost is where to buy it and many other kinds of thoughts popup. The ego says we can also buy if that person can buy and the other system of super-ego driven by our conditioning thinks well with that person in a similar case this happened, it got broken / lost etc. Like Read More …

Effects of Kali Yuga and how to overcome it Pune (India)

1996-01-17 Public Program: Effects of Kali Yuga and how to overcome it, Pune, India (Hindi) [Translation from Hindi to English] I bow to all the seekers of the truth. The way I told you before, that truth is the truth. It can not be changed. You can not describe it also. You can not know it even by saying it. you can not know the truth even by reading books. Yes, there may be an indication that what is truth. First of all, we should know this that before relying upon something you should first experience it…Without knowing it or experiencing it, if you just rely on it by just closing your eyes, then it is also waste and if you keep saying something wrong then it is also incorrect. You are looking at the situation of today, that there is tremendous KALYUGA, And in this very KALyuga, every human being is in turmoil, is in problem or discomfort…Whether it is physical, mental, or intellectual …God did not give birth to you for all these problems in this world because. Because amid all this poverty, ignorance, and wickedness, we are being trapped. Some people are good, Religious and truthful and these one are more in trouble and are more persecuted…All of these tortures together show that there is tremendous KALYUGA. You can see the corruption everywhere and those who raise their voices against them are being troubled. The society suffering from corruption is going downgrade …Now if someone says that Read More …

Adi Shakti Puja: The Shakti of Satya Yuga Dargah Hazrat Nizamuddin, New Delhi (India)

Shakti Puja: The Shakti Of Satya Yuga 02-12-1995 Today, we are going to do the puja to Shakti in Satya Yuga. Because Satya Yuga has started in this environment, the influence of Shakti has also become more intense. The first form of Shakti is that she is enlightened, illuminated. She is full of intense light. When the Shakti manifests herself in Satya Yuga all the manners of wrong people will be exposed, they’ll come in front. all wrongdoings of theirs will come in front and exposed. All their acts that have been hidden to the rest of the world will be exposed. All wrong actions – they may be illegal or mental, or terroristic or others all these forms of acts which are against Satya, which are against the truth- none of such activities, such an institution can be saved because the light of truth will shine on it. In this light of Satya (truth), you will see its special form. The reason I had already told you before is that Krita Yuga has started and Satya Yuga will follow soon.  I had already said that the sun of Satya Yuga is on the horizon. Soon you’ll get the proof of this, that whoever brings untruth in the path of truth, who is indulging in untruth will be exposed. Even if he is a Sahaja Yogi, if he calls himself a Sahaja Yogi and indulges in wrong activities, he cannot save himself. Till today, truth saved him, protected him and looked Read More …

Diwali Puja: Beginning of Sahaja yoga Nargol (India)

1995-10-29 Diwali Puja [Hindi to English translation] I had not thought that after twenty-five years, so many Sahaj yogis would collect in Nargol. When I first came here, I had no idea that Sahasrara would be opened. I was just thinking that we needed to observe the status of Man. Man had not yet reached the stage where he would understand what Self-realisation is, although many saints had provided proof of Self-realisation. This knowledge is known to a great extent in Maharashtra, because the people who followed the middle path, called Nath Panthis, had suggested there was only one path to be followed for the betterment of oneself, and that was the path of Self-realisation. I also knew that you cannot get anything without knowing your own Self. But I saw that the situation of human beings at that time was rather strange. The people they were trying to follow were not pious. They had no other motive than earning money, and when a man’s situation is like that, when he doesn’t recognise truth at all, it is very difficult to tell him about truth. And why should people listen to me? Repeatedly, I felt that that Man should struggle a little more. But I found that people were facing the torture of Kali Yuga very badly. On the one hand, the people who had done good deeds in their previous lives were being tortured by those who had done bad deeds. Among those, there were also people who were Read More …

Evening Program, Eve of Easter Puja Kolkata (India)

Talk ( After Performances ) Shri Mataji :  I don’t know how to thank Mrs Amita Dutta. It was one of the greatest performances of Kathak, I have ever seen. Normally Kathak becomes quite boring after some time for people who don’t understand much of ‘tala’.But this had such creativity which is the speciality of Bengal. I said Bengal at its best I saw today. The creativity of Bengal has created very great literature, poetry, also drama also dancing but this combination of everything today I see here in such a collective manner which has given me the greatest pleasure. You know how I respect artists especially the Indian Artist because our art is to be appreciated only through very deep [unclear /sensitivity ] And now as in this country lot of western influences coming up …People are taking to a cheap type of entertainments. At this juncture, to see such a beautiful performance now I have great hopes that our art will again prosper and really enter into the world market I should say …Where they will make people much deeper not running after money but after art. Perhaps you all know how !  I love art and artist & I respect them very much. I bless them from my heart for such a beautiful drama you did. The beauty was even the little girls, knew how to change their ‘Bhawas’…& their expressions so fast and In Kathak, I  haven’t seen people have so much of ‘Bhawas’ as they Read More …
